Let me preface by saying I don't know much about children, and this note is heartbreaking. What happened though? It seems like there was a conflict before TS left. Was regular every day kid antics, or whether the girls were upset/acting out because they wanted to stay with TS? Like I said, I have nothing to base this on, maybe my own behavior as a kid. MS is probably a lazy parent, lazier without TS around and I'm sure kids pick up on that, favored TS.

if we only had a date on this.............would the girls even remember? "God will guide you" How old is this child? Could someone of been telling them what to write? another staged item? Thinking back it seems strange. language for a child.

That's exactly what I had been thinking. If there was a problem before she left, it would have been shockingly insightful of MS to have the girls apologize like that knowing how devastated they would feel that the last contact with their Mom was fighting or being mean to her.

Imagine if the girls had left it at that and not apologized? And then imagine learning your dad murdered your Mom and that he knew it was the last time you'd see her? I'd be testifying against my dad same as against any man who murdered my Mom.

So, maybe he was *gasp* thinking of himself again and not the damage to the girls.

There does not appear to be clean up in the kitchen area. But the floor in the laundry room has the stains, as well as the brush with marker, and the bucket with marker. So, in my opinion, there was clean up attempted.

ETA: I answered my own question after further review of the crime scene photos. But why attempt clean up?

In this picture there are syringes and something labeled "doob tube". There appears to be marijuana residue at the bottom end of the doob tube. I had to look up the meaning of doob tube: TOP DEFINITION
doob tube
A paper towel or toilet paper roll stuffed either with scented drier sheets or fabric soaked in Febreeze. It is used to blow weed smoke through to get rid of the smell.
Man, me and my friends smoked at church the other day, but no one knew 'cause we used the doob tube.

I do know what marijuana looks like (don't ask, don't tell) but until now never heard of a doob tube.

It looks like the cotton flour sack's that I keep in my kitchen. I have about a dozen folded and randomly stored in my kitchen. At least 1 is always out on a counter. I use them a lot.

That makes sense. The fabric in the photos has an almost a gauze-like appearance.

At least what you said gives me another way to look at it. I was afraid the girls had put/snuck it in her suitcase, and she never got to see it.
Very strange for kids that young to apologize for "behaving badly" with out some prompting.

Black purse on chair next to kitchen counter

I think that Teresa didn’t take the black purse with her on vacation. That black purse might have been on the kitchen chair the entire time since Friday morning June 26 when the family left for the airport. Maybe Teresa didn’t take a purse on the vacation, and instead brought a backpack.

In the airport photo, Teresa is pulling her luggage, and there is an object on top of her suitcase that appears to be a large black bag (backpack?). The bag on top of the suitcase appears to be larger than the purse on the chair next to the kitchen counter. Did Teresa take this backpack on vacation instead of her purse?

I never take my regular-home-town purse on vacation. For vacations, I have various travel bags I use which don’t have all of the clutter of my regular purse. Depending on the vacation, I use a shoulder bag, belt bag or backpack to hold my essential things, along with some ‘vacation’ items. I always take my wallet which contains IDs, cash, credit cards, as well as keys. Mostly everything else that goes in the vacation bag depends on the destination – sunscreen, bug repellent, rain poncho, kindle or book, water bottle, coins for parking, etc.

During vacation, I leave my regular purse in my house on the sofa in my living room. Arriving home from vacation, if I was accosted in my garage and murdered in my kitchen, most would wonder how my purse got in the living room.

After paying for airport parking, I sometimes don’t stuff my wallet back into my travel bag, especially if it’s a large backpack. I’ll typically put my wallet on the car console until I arrive home. When exiting my car, I’ll grab my wallet and other loose items (water bottle, book). I will then usually head into my house and make another trip to the garage to get my luggage. But, if I was going to unload my luggage at that time (which seems to be what Teresa did), I would put those loose items from my hands onto a counter top in the garage, similar to the items placed on top of the chest freezer.

In the garage, there is what appears to be a black backpack on the floor near Teresa’s suitcase.

clean up of something

Yes! Plus LE asked BS if she had cleaned anything or washed anything in the laundry area, in her interviews. They must have noticed clean up in that area to ask her questions about it.

To me there did look like clean up attempted in some areas of the kitchen floor. IMO. I can't remember which photos, but they were discussed previously, I believe on this thread. I will see if I can find them. I have been wondering the same thing, why clean certain areas only... maybe one of the killers was injured, and worried about their DNA being mixed in? Or maybe they were cleaning up their foot prints, or other identifying marks

How did her wallet end up on the kitchen floor? They rummaged through the backpack in the garage and then took the wallet inside the house?

I titled one folder Purse & wallet contents, but I left the photos of the purse on the kitchen chair in the folder named Kitchen. This discussion may result in a rename of that folder, btw.

Another thought. Perhaps her purse was in the back pack while at airport. She took it out when she got something to eat and paid for parking. She may have brought it in with her. But can't say for sure who put it on the chair.

To continue speculation beyond the black purse possibly being on the chair during the entire vacation time, and HOW the wallet ended up on the kitchen floor….

Theory – She placed the loose items from the car onto the top of the chest freezer (wallet, water bottle, hair brush, cosmetic bag) [don’t know why ALL of these would have been ‘loose’, other than the wallet and water bottle]. She then removed the suitcase and backpack from the van and set them on the garage floor. Now ready to enter the house, she then picked up the wallet from the top of the chest freezer because she knew she wanted to place the wallet in her black purse on the kitchen chair - - so that her purse is ready for her workday Monday morning. As she enters the house, the killer(s) grab her, causing her wallet to fall or fly through the air onto the kitchen floor.

All possible SeeSeas.

I am wondering though, if this could be part of her black purse. It almost looks like she was wearing her purse over her left shoulder
(notice something dark between her left shoulder and elbow, part of the purse strap?) and then crossed it over the back to the right and clinched it under her right armpit. That way the purse/ strap would not keep sliding off. Notice the wider part of her left dress- strap. Could all be due to lighting/ hair strands or could mean she did have her black purse with her.

I see. Good point - The dark area under her arm could be a purse or a shadow.
I looked again at the evidence purse photos and, while it's difficult to tell for sure, the strap on her black purse doesn't look long enough to wrap around her back under her arms.

^^^ I tried Insert Image, From URL, Paste URL... but didn't seem to work. KateB - help please! I followed your instructions, I think.
