Didn't the public defender's office say they had a conflict, though? If so, a private attorney would be appointed from the "conflict counsel" list of attorneys who contract to represent defendants at low rates when the PD has a conflict.
MS already had another appointed lawyer from the regional office. That name has been replaced today with the Naples lawyer. I am not sure, if this is still running through the regional office? Can MS reject the first appointed lawyer?
