Didn't the public defender's office say they had a conflict, though? If so, a private attorney would be appointed from the "conflict counsel" list of attorneys who contract to represent defendants at low rates when the PD has a conflict.

MS already had another appointed lawyer from the regional office. That name has been replaced today with the Naples lawyer. I am not sure, if this is still running through the regional office? Can MS reject the first appointed lawyer?

Also, the new lawyer/law firm is not on the 20th Judicial Circuit registry. Wouldn't they be, if they were to be considered for regional counsel? Just a thought:

Mark messed up by not providing Curtis with a lawyer from the gitty up. This way the lawyer wouldn't have tried to negotiate a deal for Curtis while Mark was paying the bills.

Hmmm well it would have been an ethical violation to even consider who was paying the bills, but nevertheless you're probably right. :)

It doesn't sound like they included the value of his ginormous gun collection in with his assets. That's got to be worth PLENTY. If they were seized by LE, I know that Florida is one of the states that makes it difficult to have them returned. In this case...wow. He could have practically opened a museum with all the guns in that house. That's probably tens of thousands of dollars he's lost access to. Oh well... :)

Do you have a link stating the size and scope of the gun collection? I don't recall reading anywhere that it was a huge museum quality collection.

...I was speaking facetiously. There are a huge quantity of photos of the gun collection in one of the batch releases, I think #2.

Oh. I'm sorry.

I guess I'll have to find the photos to get an idea of the value of these guns.

I don't have the first clue about guns, so I won't comment on their value, but here are the pics:

Thanks for the link! I hadn't realized the photos had been beoken up categorically. Last time I looked, it was just 8 huge sub-folders. Unfortunately, I was only able to make it through the batch once. The more graphic photos were more than this pregnant lady could stand.

I have no idea of the value of the guns. I do know some collectors, though, and based on the amount they throw around for even lower value guns I would wager that it's a decent amount.

IDK, maybe it's just me, but it makes me sick that deprived criminals get to enjoy a multitude of snacks and grooming products. This is not a summer camp. I'm sure the prison system is making a lot of money.

Everyone has wondered how CWW made so many stupid decisions in the course of committing the murder. His diet might be a clue. I have no problem with sick SOBs like these making themselves diabetic, but the taxpayers will pay for their eventual amputations, so the county should dump the vending machines.

It appears TS Mercedes is worth somewhere around 5K. I did't look up the van but I would assume in that same range. The condo's in the same building in Missouri are selling in the $60K-$65K range. We have no idea on home equity on Jarvis , or for that matter, the equity in Missouri condo either). MS could have acquired some cash selling items to man pulling the trailer parked at his house for several days back in Feb I believe it was. We have no idea on potential TS student loans. IRS back taxes and penalties. Any found Siever cash will probably end up in MS defense fund.
I would guess maybe a sibling or relative has stashed some long term canteen cash for MS. Would you do that for your sibling that you 100% know planned the killing of his wife and mother of his kids? If you could easily afford to send (your brother) MS $100/month, would you? I think most moms would, many siblings would not.

Although I'm not in BS shoes.... NO, I would NOT.

If that is the case, MS continues to manipulate BS, putting her in quite an unenviable situation.

Sad but we've all seen this happen... even to the point of people mortgaging their homes. Hope BS wouldn't go that far... IF she & her partner have joint ownership of their home, that's a different ball game. MS will use anyone he can manipulate. I do wonder what BS really thinks/believes about her sons' guilt---remember her LE interview & what she said about the alarm, to the tune of making him look guilty. How much of a "my little Johnny would never do such a thing" type parent she is, I don't know. THEN you have the type who believes, or even knows, their adult child is guilty but still treat the situation as 'no guilt' since they don't want THEIR child to suffer any consequences.

Did MS have the look of a worried man or grieving husband at the latest DFC hearing? Hardly! As he giggled with his female counsel and slyly winking, he is spinning a story and probably spinning it to BS first and foremost at this point.
He is a manipulator and I hope no one other than possibly BS can see right through it.
I am anxious to see some MS docs. We have seen much evidence putting CWW and JR right there on Jarvis Drive. I hope there is as much linking MS to setting the whole diabolical plan into motion.

NOT just you, lol! I used to get sooo mad at all the "perks" inmates get until I read that there's thought behind it. As in: keeping the animals somewhat satisfied and less likely to act out or cause problems.

HOWEVER. In my opinion: there should be access only to calming music choices, tv channels of happiness like The Puppy Channel- yes, I vote for experimenting on criminals. Yoga. Why not subliminal (in addition to obvious) messages of improving yourself, peace love happiness calmness, helping others, etc.

Yeah, and something like Xanax in their water supply. No junk food, only simple, healthy foods. No need to do the scientific "nutrition loaves". Seriously, big whoop. Fresh veges, etc. Make them work their own farms.

Those who can't be rehabilitated: Soylent Green. Put them to good use after they're gone. Keep it a self-sustaining cycle in there.

Vote for me, lol.
