Bates 38809, #572: Sad to see the desire to use manipulative sales techniques, but I guess that goes with the infomercial mentality and ethics. Health information being sold through infomercials turns me off. I know millions of people must fall for it or they wouldn't still exist.
I know I'm not alone here in thinking she was being dragged down the wrong path for the sake of money by someone who only had his own best interest in mind.

Also, Teresa was heavily and regularly involved in "asking people for money" for Our Mother's Home. I talked to her on at least two occasions many years back about how uncomfortable she was approaching people for donations even though she felt so strongly about the cause she did it anyways. We talked about what is the best way to approach people and "how do the fundraisers do it" - so it doesn't surprise me to learn that both for business and likely charity she was trying to become the best salesperson by learning techniques. Teresa would learn about things that she felt she didn't understand or wasn't good at - that being said, when your husband squirrels away every spare dime and you are the breadwinner, it must have been alot of pressure to keep producing. Made me sad to read when she talked about being tired. She was a hard worker. But, to be fair, she loved a good spa treatment - and so do I
