I just met a family in Barnardsville, North Carolina.Mom, dad, and 4 little kids.House destroyed by Hurricane Helene.They are living in a very small camper and a shed.They had Christmas lights up, but not enough gas to power the generator to turn them on tonight.

We are not far away so we still see the pain.

FEMA is paying for 2,777 North Carolina hurricane victims to stay in hotels -- but the deadline when they have to be out keeps changing.There have been last minute extensions -- but there is understandably a lot of anxiety with the cold temperatures and limited housing.
