That comment by BK seemed, IMHO, to reflect what the media was reporting in the days after the murders. The crime of passion statement seems to have originated with Moscow's major, or at least he's the one being used as a source in assorted articles including the one I'm linking.
I think we're going to find out a lot about BK and really don't see the need for the media to dramatize things that aren't unusual or at least not alarmingly so. IMHO.
