How do you not know that you haven't made a house payment in almost 9 months?

How do you not know where your granddaughter is who lives with you????

I Officially despise LP now.:(
Why would anyone keep helping felons? Leave them in prison where they belong! What about those Tigers who never change their stripes?
People who make poor life choices need to deal with consequences or they will keep repeating them( thus re- offenders)

Funny, I really liked him for a while at the beginning.

1. KC's "team" has run completely out of money. Lyons wants KC declared indigent so that the Florida taxpayers can pick up the tabs of the attorneys. Jose needs to be paid for his "pretend" lawyering--let the "little people" pay him!

2. The Anthonys likely don't want to live there anymore! They are likely thinking about a nicer place more suitable to their status (in their mind's eyes) --a home more befitting the "foundation" people that they now are.

3. "Losing" the house (on purpose!) is also a way to to avoid paying Zenaida anything if she wins her case,

4. "Losing" the house (on purpose!) is a way of not paying the fines imposed on KC,

5. "Losing" the house (on purpose!) is a way to avoid having to contribute to the defense (even if they have no obligation to do so).. they can also play both sides of the fence here---not “supporting” their daughter by making it look like they "aren't able to".

The money that they have made thus far is hidden somewhere and they are going to wind up in a lovely new place. You know it! I am glad I have figured this out. oh..

6. "losing" the house (on purpose!) is a way to stick it to Bank of America--CA probably "hates them" because of some evil thing that she believes they did (oh, ...like demand restitution for the money that KC stole). That type of thing would make them a Cindy "enemy" for sure.

They had already claimed bankruptcy around the time Caylee was born. Not sure how long you have to wait, 7 years, before you can claim again.

I worked as a bankruptcy paralegal for 4 yrs., however that was prior to the HUGE changes in 2005. State laws are different and I am not familar with those in FL. That said, I still think this is possible.

They can file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy and include the 9 months worth of arrearage into the bankruptcy. They could reaffirm their mortgage with their lender. That would mean that they would have their mortgage payment AND a Chapter 13 payment. Both would have to be kept current....and I do mean CURRENT. More than 30 past due and the mortgage company would file for a "lift of stay" and the entire amount financed would be immediately due. However, their Chapter 13 payment would be based on their 2009 income, so it would probably be extremely low. I am questioning myself now...I know to file a Chapter 13 you have to have income...usually be employed. I am not sure that Cindy's disablity pymts and whatever income GA may have would allow them to qualify for filing a 13. I do know that they would have to report every.single.cent. of income and debt. Not sure of FL laws, but I am pretty sure their schedules would be made public.

I bet Uncle Rick and Grandma Shirley are burning up over this.

In 2005 they got a second mortgage. Caylee was born in 2005. George left home in 2005. These people are so unreal. People in financial straits shouldn't borrow more money. That cruise, those new clothes, the new hairdo, the bling Cindy wears, the tattoos .....they spend spend spend and don't know when to quit. If mom and pop hadn't made asses of themselves on tv, they'd be able to get jobs and pay their bills. Really, what's more important - car payment or house payment - What are they doing driving SUVs when they can't pay their mortgage? Idiots.

You have just got to LOVE Leonard Padilla. There he is, immediately, inserting himself on the scene...and I tell ya, I seriously doubt it was compassion that caused him to make his offer...there is NO love lost between these folks and Leonard knows it better than anyone...so I can only assume he is:
A) reverting true to form and chasing those cameras
B) stirring the hornets nest for a reaction
C) considering if they do NOT accept his offer buying the place for himself
D) all of the above

And with all due respect, there is NO way they did not know this was coming down the pike...they have not made a payment since June...who else but the Anthonys would claim they had no idea they were being foreclosed on when no payments had been made in so long?

It all might have flown if not for their adoring attorney and his offer of this fiasco as PROOF that they have not profitted from this baby's death...they gave themselves away right there, with that one single statement...

IIRC LP wanted to buy the plot of land on Suburban as a Caylee Memorial.

If there is a strategy to the foreclosure then LP just mixed things up, in as much as the last thing CA wants is for LP to be able to purchase that home IMO -- and so whatever CA's intentions were .... you can bet the A's will do everything in their power to exclude LP once again.

Just when you thought you had seen and heard everything regarding KC and the A's ...... it takes you to a whole new lower dimension.

That's the thing. Once the trial is over with and Caylee's justice is served... I will never again think about anyone else in that family exept Caylee. If they are ever on my T.V. or even mentioned on my T.V. I will turn it. If I see that they are in a magazine, I won't buy it.

After this is over and done with, I want my life to be free of anything Anthony related... unless it is Caylee Marie Anthony related.

My speculation:

LP: Hey, Cindy, I'd be willing to help you guys out with your house payments.

Cindy: Really? Great.

LP: The deal would be, I give you the money and you let me and my guys dig up the yard and go through the house for 48 hours with no interference.

Cindy: We are not interested in your help.

Nope! :snooty:Then Baez and Lyons can officially quit as her lawyers, and a Public Defender would be appointed. No attorney is forced to work for free, nor should the taxpayers be forced to pay for private attorneys, that's how it works in most cases!

Cindy is an RN, a Nurse Manager with many years work history.... her disability pay, whether from a private policy,or from SSI is based on her past earnings. She is not making minimum wage on disability. She should be able to provide for her and George, but living beyond their means is how they have always operated.

That's funny!
I can just see LP hosting his own TV show - 'Live from Hopespring Drive' -and we have Nancy Grace calling in on line one..

Out of curiosity I just looked at Careerbuilder and Monster websites and searched RN positions in Orlando. So far I have 25 pages .... there are many telephonic Case Manager positions available, no public contact, on the computer and phone, she would not even have to give her last name to clients- M-F hours. She could do that work and pay her own bills.

I've been thinking about this all evening and I have to agree---that I think something is definitely "up".

The Anthonys (in particular CA and GA) obviously took a great deal of pride in their house/home. They are neatniks and worried incessantly about people standing in their yard, etc. They are totally territorial and it is clear that their home has been extremely important..paramount, actually. So, how is it...that they would "forget" to pay for it?

Even with all that has happened..the house has always been such a huge big deal to them. The reason CA didn't want to divorce GA was because he could wind up with half or more of "everything that CA had worked for" (ie: the house!) It seems so incongruent that suddenly they would simply give it up. There is something afoot, a scheme of some sort. UNLESS they have truly lost their marbles and stopped caring. (Which seems so doubtful..when you consider how much they clean things, get tattoos, have haircuts and wear jewelry).

These are people who have "pride" in spades. So how and why could they let their house "go"? It just does not add up.

I agree with your post.
IMO The A's did not forget to pay the mortgage they, for whatever reason chose not too. I speculate that they put the money in Casey's Defense fund but someone posted they believe the A's have put that money aside, also a possibility.

I agree with the many posters who say Cindy should have returned to work...I say( and maybe grandma Shirley already has) pull yourself together and go back to work before you lose the home that you have worked hard to keep over the years.
George..well what can one say...try to find a job.

Very true! My own mother-in-law does that for a living. Cindy can work as an Advice Nurse over the phone, or she can become a Traveling Nurse. If she had a good track record as a Nurse Case Manager, perhaps she could even sweet talk Gentiva into giving her a reference.

for you Zsa Zsa: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hkJL6wRBE8

Cannot stop laughing about these lyrics...they remind me so of Casey:

GET A JOB

Sha na na na, sha na na na na,
This just bears repeating!

Why does this NOT surprise me.

Padilla Considers Helping Anthonys.

Home Of George, Cindy Anthony In Foreclosure
A day after it was learned that the home where Caylee Anthony once lived with her mother and grandparents was being foreclosed upon, celebrity bounty hunter Leonard Padilla said he's considering helping the family save their home.
