I would say it was highly unlikely that he would have even seen his mother's SSN. Most people don't remember another person's SSN because there is no real reason to do so unless you are into Identity theft. (Back then it wasn't an issue.)
I think the draft angle is a good one to pursue. I don't think the military really knows if BK was a member of the service or not, imo.
