There is a Walmart in Franklin... don't know about our "new town" Newsom yet.
How many times has it been bought and sold? Do previous owners talk about their experiences there? If 100 people donate 20 bucks we can buy it and level it. Then, a memorial gardens or park could be placed there for the boys. Anyone? Or am I just crazy (well I am so don't answer that!)beesy said:It's already been bought and sold several times. Somebody will buy it again I suppose
Beesy's feelings hurt.HeartofTexas said:J2, we may need to just move over from Franklin a town or two to this new house I've found for us... and I can afford this one! It has 5 bedrooms, but surely we could all squeeze into that one just fine! And when Beesy is being a NICE girl, we can invite her over to have iced tea on our lovely new wrap-around porch. Oh, and all of the pets can run on our 2+ acres of land. Still no a/c in this house either. Bummers.

A joking "worried" was the word I was looking for. Didn't realize one little word would ruin the entire thing. :doh:HeartofTexas said:Exactly what I was wondering, J2. LOL! Perhaps "terrified" would be the word Beesy is looking for! Don't worry, Beesy, I have to sell my house before I can consider buying another one... so I'm sure that one will be gone before that would happen. That's amazing that all 3 of us have 9 year old boys. BTW, does your town have a Walmart??? I'm not sure I can live in a town without one... LOL!
what a gerat place...no ac huh?? looks like hubby will have to be a part of the package...now..roomie....is there a problem if i prefer a cold beer to your ice tea> guess we better get the little things worked out huh? we could ask Beesy about the new town, but she might fib....to keep us from coffe clatching with her on her front porch!HeartofTexas said:There is a Walmart in Franklin... don't know about our "new town" Newsom yet.

I thought I saw beesy saying she really wanted us there too- especially when she was saying what a out in the boondocks place newsoms was.... i think she still loves us!! LOL-- Franklin does look like a dream come true- but that house you showed in newsom was way toooooo cool too- man- 4000 sq feet- 2 + acres...and that porch.... man-------- if I was only 10 years younger and my kids didnt know any better!!!!!!! aand yea- i saw that adding mamciti was doing- but at least she fessed up that why was poppa kept the checkbook- i would still send a check to see the place torn down............HeartofTexas said:J2, you better stop before you send that check to MamaCita. She's having trouble computing exactly how much she needs! LOL!
I checked on Newsoms (this time I spelled it correctly) and the whole town only has less than 300 population, so J2, we're moving back to Franklin. I only chose alternative housing because I thought Beesy didn't want us. However, now that she's so graciously accepted my offer of iced tea on our porch, we're heading back to Franklin. I have visions of our 3 boys playing together at the park while we sip tea and gossip and talk about Darlie! I'm more of a tea person myself... gave up most liquor when I was younger... but don't have any lack of tolerance for those who do drink. 2-3 times a year I have a glass of wine... but that's about it these days.
Beesy, I really do LOVE Franklin! I want to move there so bad. It has everything I'm looking for in a town (including Walmart!). I noticed you were pretty hot there today, too... we hit a mere 99 degrees here today. Sure doesn't seem like Fall.
you are too cute!:angel:Mama-cita said:Rowlett, Texas has an estimated population of 52,500 (in 2005). If we could collect FOUR DOLLARS from each resident, we would have enough $$$. Let's buy the house, that way, the "residents" own it. THen we all donate to make it a memorial park or gardens for the town that celebrates the life of Devon and Damon...
I am going to go work on some word problems. Gee, my kids aren't in school yet, but once they are, they sure better not come to me for MATH help!!!

Instead I'm OLD and raising a young boy... and unfortunately I've built my whole life here in Texas. It will be a tough decision to uproot at this point. OTOH, if I don't do it now, I'll never do it, and I really hate that idea. It means accepting less than I wanted for myself. I also have years and years of friendships here in Texas, and I would have to walk away from that, too. I wish the house in Franklin that we like was a little cheaper. I didn't see anything else that I truly loved... and the ones that were in my price range weren't too exciting. Maybe something else will turn up

That house was probably built on peanut or pig money. It is wonderful, isn't it? Franklin is filled with houses like "yours". Something else will come up. Remember the deal we got on our house? I did notice the one in Newsoms said something about being priced low enough to make improvements didn't it?That house in Newsoms was great, wasn't it! Apparently it's the crown jewel of Newsoms, too, because my research didn't show a whole heckuva lot going on in Newsoms. With less than 300 population, I'd hate to see what the school system looked like!
The school system is pretty nice because Newsoms is part of Southampton County and there are 2 nice schools there, neither one very near Newsoms though.
