5801 Eagle Drive for sale

Sorry, Cami, the front porch is not screened in! And considering how big the front porch is, it would cost a pretty penny to screen it in. We best put our money into air-conditioning! You can have the dog, though! He can run around with J2's two dogs, and my two dogs. Well, probably just one dog by the time I move... one is very old and sick right now, so I doubt he will be around by the time I do finally move.

Okay I'm up for that, although I did want to sit on that porch sipping mint juleps, LOl. Oh that's down south isn't it?

I always associate mint juleps with Kentucky but am not sure if that's where they originated. And after you have a few, I doubt you'll want anymore! But you're certainly welcome to sit on the porch and drink anything you want. BTW, I've always considered Virginia to be part of the south... isn't it???

What fun it'd be to sip iced tea and sleuth all day. There's a great park right down the street from me, which means it's down the street from your house too. Newsomes is in the boonies. I mean waaaaaaaay boonies. It's about 30 miles from Franklin and I think there's only one street, maybe 2 LOL.
Franklin not only has a Wal-Mart, but a Super Center! We have a nice movie theater, bowling alley and even an Applebees! There was big excitement when that moved to town. Alas, no ice skating rink. There's a roller rink! Norfolk is about 50 miles away and they have a hockey team though.
But nevermind, you don't want to live near beesy now anyway. :snooty:

I don't know if Cami can come if you don't have a hockey rink and Tim Hortons.

Rowlett, Texas has an estimated population of 52,500 (in 2005). If we could collect FOUR DOLLARS from each resident, we would have enough $$$. Let's buy the house, that way, the "residents" own it. THen we all donate to make it a memorial park or gardens for the town that celebrates the life of Devon and Damon...
I am going to go work on some word problems. Gee, my kids aren't in school yet, but once they are, they sure better not come to me for MATH help!!!

Oh I was always lousy at math. My brain sees numbers and it just stops and won't work.

My $4.00 cheque is in the mail.

(oldest lie in the book)

Mint Juleps are from Kentucky. They are the official drink of the Kentucky Derby. And honey, of course Virginia is the South! Gen. Robert E. Lee is a Virginian and the Confederate capital was in Richmond. Bless your heart, you didn't know..

Oh, but I have a big front porch. Most people don't screen in their front porches around here, but there's a fan and a swing!

LOL, yeah I don't even drink either but I would like to try one, so we will have to make it tea. Red Rose and vanilla bean are my favourites. If it's hot, then it's cranberry juice and club soda and lime.

Guess what ladies! I found an article from 2004 where this house was auctioned off, and it was listed as a triplex! Soooooo, Cami can have one floor, J2's family can have another floor, and I can have the last floor. It was meant to be!

Here's another picture of the house, at the time of the auction. It appears from the newer picture on the Century 21 page that some repairs or painting have been done since the auction. Also, it's a bit hard to read some of the tiny print on the auction page, but one of them appeared to show the house's value at around $137,000, which is certainly closer to what Beezy indicated. So either the new owners have done one heckuva lot of updating and renovating, or it's a pipedream to think about selling it at $225,000.

I wonder if the improvements the Newsoms house is referring to might be air-conditioning? It certainly would be top choice for me!
but I don't want you to move to the county.... ...must be Franklin

It's been repainted. I noticed that today. I still don't think they'll get that much for it though. Isn't that house around the corner on the right really pretty? I love that house. I'm not sure if it's still a triplex though. Wouldn't it say that in the newer listing?

I saw that one, Beesy, and it reminded me of how you described your house. Soooo pretty. And I agree, they won't get that much for the Franklin house.

Thanks for the pix, Beesy. I see these houses are also a bit more expensive... $175,000-229,000. I was hoping to keep it $150,000 and under, but that doesn't seem probable with everything I'm looking at (unless I move over to Newsoms, and that doesn't seem probable either). I hate looking at stuff on that Scott Associates website... everything says MLS password required, so you have to email the guy to get any details... and I don't want to do that.

None of them will open for me either. And I have a Yahoo account which is showing that I'm signed in, too. I wonder what the problem is. Thanks so much for taking the time to do the pix, Beesy, even if I can't see them!

It wasn't a big deal. They're on my puter anyway. Hmmmmm...I'll send them to your email or PM you. Just to see, both of you.

Oh well, can't figure it out. I'm a dork.
