8/08/2010 Police swarm TN home of Joe Overstreet

Marijuana should be legal anyways. And if I were Joe, I would be smoking pot too for anxiety, life has to really suck when your own grandma is on TV saying you raped a 5 year old and threw her in the river without any proof whatsoever.

At least he wasn't busted with crack or pills. I hope Joe gets help.

I understand your compassion, but I've learned with these people, you have to be careful ,who you feel sorry for.

It was pot, not dangerous pills, and I feel sorry for anyone implicated by the gang that is sitting on basically unabailable bond in Putnam, thats who I care about, not Joe Overstreet, because if Joe was involved, he would probably be in putnam braiding Tommy, Hank and Rons hair threw bars, but hes not.

I respectfully disagree with that. There are people who evade jail forever or aren't caught til years later.

Well, I disagree because I think everyone involved in what happened to Haleigh, are behind bars, and theres a reason Joe is not, and that probably has to do with Misty and Tommys lie tests where they implicate him, and fail. I believe if they were truthful and it came back as positive and truthful about their tale about Joe, he would have been in Putnam faster than a monkey on a banana.

Well. And why am I not surprised? LOL

Jezz..I am late, you guys are on the ball. I just read about it and was going to start a thread LOL. Kudos you all! :blowkiss:
Could this be the next Croslin to go down? Only two more left, Timmy and Brandon the cousin IMO.

Aw, you missed it, MADJ. For a few brief moments I thought this just might be the big break. I'm still going to hold on to a little hope that this latest event will lead to a resolution. :blowkiss:

I have to agree with this. I had JO as a potential perp very early on but soon removed him from my list and have not put him back on the list. For now, I see no reason to believe JO did anything to Haleigh.

I am not sure JO doesn't know something. He was in the area and could have been in the company of some or all of 'them' just before or just after the critical time, so he could have at least overheard something. It's just that, with absolutely nothing pointing toward JO having harmed Haleigh, I can't consider him a suspect.

If LE names JO as a suspect, I will certainly consider any evidence they might have that points toward his possible involvement. Until then, he's just a guy who was in the wrong place at the wrong time, who just happens to like pot. For now, no biggie.

JMO.

We'll just agree to disagree I guess. Knowing somebody did something and being able to prove it are very different things. I've heard about many cold cases where the police know who did it but couldn't prove it until years later.

From Joe's affadavit:

On 08/08/10 Officer Neil Wolfe responded to 1529 Antioch Pike after recieving information that Joseph Overstreet and
other suspects responsible for an overnight aggravated assault and attempted robbery were there. Officer Wolfe arrived
and found Joseph Overstreet in the front yard and detained him for questioning. Other suspects hid in the house and or
fled the scene. Officer Wolfe recieved information that the suspects in earlier incident were using a stolen silver Chrysler
300 and a vehicle matching that description was parked in the back yard with an improper license plate. A check of the
VIN showed the vehicle was reported stolen. While verifying the VIN Officer Wolfe observed marijuana plants growing
near the rear door of the residence. South CSU detectives responded to the scene and obtained a search warrant. Five
marijuana plants were taken from the back yard. A metal tin containing marijuana pipe, marijuana grinder, and a ficticuos
marrijuana license was found in the living room of the residence. The defendants drivers license was found inside the
metal tin with the paraphernalia. This occurred in Davidson County

If Joe stole the car he would of been charged for it.
It must have been the other guy arrrested when Joe was.

Wow! Thanks for the info! I would love to believe this has a major connection to Haleigh, but I believe another relative wasn't bright enough to know that they are being watched. I'm sure that JO has a reputation in Tn as a criminal and he probably runs with others that have a criminal past; so the officers know who to watch.
I am so hoping that with Ron and Misty's trials coming up that they throw them under the jail; because I don't feel like they are going to talk. They know that what ever happened to Haleigh would bring alot more bigger charges than drug dealing.
I keep praying that one will have enough guts to tell the truth.
Still praying for Justice for Haleigh!!

there is a synthetic marijuana, that's manufactured somehow, but Joe doesn't strike me as the type. I would think it would be expensive & kind of businessy. It's legal in some places, & sold in tobacco stores-mainly so dopers can get high & still pass their drug tests. I've actually thought about trying it, since it is legal, just to see if it it's any good.

I had never heard of synthetic marijuana until I moved to Louisville, KY. Down here they call it K2 and it's weird because they sell it at the local flea market. I heard that it was once legal here. My brother took a trip to Florida a few weeks ago and he told me that that's what they are into down there.

And this is being touted on Nancy Graces facebook as a "break" in the Haleigh case basically.

If I were Joe, I would retain council and sue her for all the stuff thats been said about him on her show, and other outlets, because this has nothing to do with Haleigh, but I guess whatever gets her back in the news is a good thing. But Joe should sue.

Ok....So Jo had been charged with MFG marijuana? What a coincidence! I wonder if that had something to do with the dealings between Ron and JO? Then there were pot plants found at the Mondex, after Tommy was arrested, I think, in August. It's early, I need another cup of coffee, but I'm trying to make sense of it all.

What if Jo was there in Florida to help Ron start his own manufacturing of marijuana?
I know it's a little weird but nothing will surprise me.

JMO of course
