A Bulgarian vulture made a long migratory trip, and ended up in Yemen, a country in the middle of war. Nelson, the vulture, had a transmitter on his leg and was believed to be a spy, and was arrested. Thankfully his Bulgarian "employers", the Fund for Wild Flora and Fauna got information about his captivity in Yemen, and could lobby for his release. A Yemeni man could travel to where Nelson was a captive, and bring him to Sanaa where a vet could examine him, being in a bit of a bad shape, but now being fed with meat and water to get to his ideal weight, hopefully being able to make his trip home again soon. A Bulgarian vulture's odyssey into Yemeni war zone

Yes, but if you read the final paragraphs in the article, you will find thatthe bird is fed meat every hour, in a country where 240,000 people face catastrophic levels of hunger. Isn't that a sign of humanity, to aid to give a bird a chance of life and flight?
