Sissi,

You don't know that for sure sissi. John Fernie's remark in the 2001 deposition was likely self-serving. He had several years to reflect on the importance of the time-line and, to protect himself, would naturally say Fleet White arrived first.

I'll go with the earliest version -- John Fernie arrived first, right after the police. Then the Whites arrived. Barbara Fernie showed up after that.

...and you are not kidding?
Don't you suppose there would be others, such as the Whites that would jump on his "lying testimony".

He's as much as said flat out that he's going to ignore the facts and truth because it doesn't fit his scenario...

He doesn't know where Officer French was at when the call came in, he apparently doesn't realize that the officer was there BEFORE John Fernie arrived either.

Seeker,

PLease re-read my post. I didn't say John Fernie beat Officer French to the Ramsey's house.

Kat,

True about cell phone records being traceable, but you don't live in "Democratic" Boulder. You didn't have powerful nationally known Democrat attorny Hal Haddon, entrenched Democrat D.A. Alex Hunter, and Democrat Governor Roy Romer, on your side helping to make things disappear for you.

does anyone know what wireless company they used?

What does John Fernie do for a living?

Also, I don't think the D.A.'s office would issue subpeona's for the phone records. Wasn't that one of Steve Thomas' complaints?

TLynn,

John Fernie is a developer.

The D.A.'s office doesn't issue subpoenas. The court issues them. The BPD could have obtained subpoenas from the court on their own.

Steve Thomas stated in a Court TV chat that he was unable to get the phone records subpoenaed. He stated that the scandal involving the company (was it TTI? or something like that...) that illegally acquired all that info on the Ramseys produced the phone records, however, LE was never allowed to go thru them.

QUESTION:

Since LKL didn't ask for any explanation of JR's remark about 2 or 3 AM, did anyone else, ever, ask what he meant? Was JR just confused about what time they got up and the friends arrived?

Steve Thomas was handed a 'Consent To Release of Telephone Records' signed by John Ramsey and Peter Hofstrom.

This released the Ramsey's home and cellular telephone records between December 1st and 27th, 1996.

This did not include company phones, telephone cards, or calls made prior to or after December.

AirTouch was the cell phone company. The records show regular usage in the months upto December, but for December itself, zero usage, e.g. empty!

Steve Thomas states that the lieutenant governor of the State of Colorado, Gail Schoetler was a repeat caller to John Ramsey's private office line in the days after the death of JonBenet!

No mention is made of any other callers to this particular line.

So according to UKGuy, ST had all the access to cel phone records (except calling card) and this contradicts ST's statements. What's really interesting is that there were no cel calls made in December.

Coverup, by others besides the R's. Shows others were involved.

Well, none that we know about...

We know that John Fernie continued to support JR throughout the whole investigative process. Does anyone know why Barbara Fernie did not continue to support Patsy?

Yes, but then the DA would not allow them to get the records. The DA eventually got them, months later, and lo and behold...the month of December had no call activity on it. The story might have been different if the investigating officers had been able to get the records immediately.

It is an interesting mistake. If it is not the typists fault and John said that, it brings me right full smack to the subconscious mind and how if person, who is lying, is not very very careful in his wording, that person will say things and the subconscious comes into play and things GET MIXED UP. What I think is going on here (possibly) is that there was a lot going on in that house at the time he is talking about. Say JB was killed around midnight, at 3;00 in the morning, things would have been insane. So his answer "there were a lot of people there at 3:00 in the morning to me is mixed up with the goings on at 3:00 a.m. in his home.

That is not farfetched at all. Could very well be.

And while we are at it, this is another perfect example of how stupid Larry King is. Does not even notice it.

I remember when he had a woman on who had survived a plane kidnapping by terrorists and she is shot in the head by them and you can see it on tv - it is shown. Well the woman is talking about how she is doing and Larrry the moron, breaks in and says "we want to know how it felt to get shot". The man is a blithering idiot. No wonder the Ramseys were on his show so much.

Yes, it certainly could be a typo as to the time but the "in the morning" part would be a full-phrase. It would be odd to have a typo for a full phrase wouldn't it? The transcript sounded like John was talking about a time of day when everyone was leaving the house (as in the afternoon). Maybe I can dig up the voice interview on CNN. I'll see what I can find.
