A new beginning for the Anthonys?

The biggest way the A's could have contributed to the searches for other less publicised missing children, would have been to not waste the time of thousands of vlouteers and millions of dollars for 5 months!

Caylee was never missing. Her mother, legal guardian, knew exactly where she was. Just because the grandparents didn't know where she was doesnt mean she was missing.
I have to disagree.

Caylee was missing, from her home and her family. The fact that she was dead at her mother's hand a month before anyone else knew she was gone is what makes her case different from that of other missing children whose family report it right away.

Sadly, many missing children are found murdered after a period of time. Sometimes the murderer is a family member, sometimes it’s a stranger. But when little ones are not home and safe, they’re surely missing.

1. protestors did not descend upon the A home immediately.
2. they had no problem finding their way to news studios and the jail to visit KC.
3. they had no problem wasting resources and having bracelets, T-shirts, billboards etc... made up.

Finding their way to news studios? You mean plastering Caylee's photo all over the media in hopes that someone might have seen her? What if it had brought her home? What would you being saying about them now? What if the billboard or T-shirts brought her home? Would they then be a waste? Should no family of a missing child invest in broadcasting the child's face to the public just in case it turns out that the child is actually deceased, or does that only apply to the A's?

I guess they have to eke out a living somehow as I am sure they are no longer employable. GA speaks so highly of KFN that it is apparent he is still walking around with blinders on, or maybe he knows what they are all about and wants to be affiliated with them anyway. That's really too bad.

I bet a good home healthcare nursing supervisor position is available many places in this country (Away from Or-lawn-do) Cindy can do that. GA has been made unemployable by multiple comp. claims. He would have to go into bidness for himself. I think we would all be surprised how much a good car detailer/ lawn maintenance/ small engine mechanic can make working for themselves.

If they choose to stay together, they can make 80-90k per year if they choose to work. Hawking photos, videos, selling shirts and trinkets, and asking for donations to fund other projects prolly pays considerably better. Being a co-author may prove lucrative as well. I guess it all remains to be seen.

Seems obvious to me :waitasec:

The A's admitted to both being familiar with the smell of death. GA was a homicide det. and knows that parents who are uncooperative about their missing/dead children had a hand in their demise most of the time. In other words, they have been almost positive since 7-15-08 that their two year old granddaughter was not coming home again. They had already smelled the whole story. All the appearances on tv were merely to help sway public opinion about their daughter's guilt. Speculation on it possibly bringing her home is fine. But it is merely speculation, like the possible existance of a Rabbit carrying colored eggs around at Easter time.

Other families should definitely get their child's face out there. Especially if there is a chance they are still alive. The A's former training and experience screamed the truth at them. And yes, I do feel for them. No parent should ever have to bury a baby or grandbaby. They did not ask Casey to do this and bring their unwashed laundry to the world's attention. It is a shame for all involved.

I don't care what they do now. I still think it's too little, too late. And please don't give me any lines about giving them a second chance. I'll give them one when Caylee gets HER second chance at life. ___

Nothing in the post which began this thread warrants hostility.

I think this has been in the woodwork for 6 months, so I don't think this is a new beginning but a plan of action by the Anthonys and KFN.

They need somebody like George to ensure the foundation. He is likable and people would more likely part with their resources if George is asking for assistance. People have developed a distaste for anything Cindy so GA will be highlighted and perhaps Cindy will be the treasurer...IMO.

I hope if George and Cindy are able to use their tragedy as a platform to help others that they are very successful in that endeavor and that it brings them some measure of peace. I think it would be a wonderful legacy for Caylee.

I agree whole-heartedly Chilly. Do we know what the focus will be for the foundation ??? If even one child is found/saved through their efforts it will be a blessing. Maybe I am still feeling reflective from the Memorial, but my negativity of the A's has waned. Poor George. And Cindy will never see those Angel eyes of Caylees again :(

I'm not hostile:confused:

What made you say that?

Yes, the Anthonys were in denial for a long time, certainly publicly and for some time maybe, privately. They appear to have been hanging onto the slender hope that because Caylee’s body hadn’t been found she might still be alive, evidence be damned.

I can’t say I blame them for clinging to even a sliver of hope, but it sure got irritating after awhile to hear them keep defending their daughter, long after the rest of us had turned a beady eye in her direction.

People keep saying that nobody has walked in their shoes or had such a uniquely horrible experience. Once this is resolved and if they have made it through, maybe they could do something unique to help people in an equally awful situation: other families whose loved one has been killed by a family member. It maybe isn't glamorous or a "popular" cause, but it seems appropriate and fitting.

The A's TV appearances only confused the issues.
They dragged innocent kids into this by making their
photos public. They made the case against their daughter worse
with each word they mis-spoke.
They belittled the people who actually were out searching while they sat collecting money from strangers.
Most families do benefit from doing TV appearances about a missing person, but most families are nothing like this family.
Most families are honest and grateful not domineering and
shifty.

How did the A's waste millions of dollars? Unless they knew where caylee was the whole time, I'd say its Kc who is reponsible for such a 'huge waste' of time and money.
JMO
ETA - Kinda off topic: Just got a phonecall from my sis who is in hospital after almost dying from blood loss last night. (blood pressure slowly rising now- she should be ok) She had surgery a week ago and was alone in her house when she started bleeding out. Thankfully her neighbor happened to knock on her door just before she passed out and he called an ambulance.
This guy is a pig. He is the scum of the earth , but I am greatful to him today.
I dont like the guy and NEVER will but I can seperate the two. I dont care that a rapist saved her- I'm just glad that someone did.

I get so confused. Some people are criticizing the A's for supposedly attempting to stop the searches and some are criticizing them for wasting resources by allowing the searches.

They knew caylee was dead from the start. They could be forgiven for being in denial, but only for a while.

IMO none of the A's have ever told the whole truth that has responsible for the search and the case going on longer than it needed to. I am sure costs of manpower and resorces runs into millions dollars.

Better to spend their time and money marketing Safe Havens for parents to drop off the kids before they kill them.

Yesterday, a 20 year old woman threw her new born into Lake Ponchartain. She was afraid to tell her parents that she was pregnant, kept it a secret and witnesses watched as she tossed something into the lake, returned to her car and drove away.

She thinks the baby was breathing before it was tossed into the water. She was arrested on murder charges today. We have Safe Havens, but still a beautiful newborn was killed. Maybe these young women don't know about Safe Havens?

Here in NJ, ads for Safe Havens are plastered on the sides of buses, in trains, train stations, there are TV commercials-it is a known entity. What she did was just ignorant and disgusting.

You're right, I think we did that because, on one hand, some felt that the A's had knowledge that she was dead and knew where she was and they were obstructing justice. If they had come clean sooner (if they had knowledge of the crime), all of the searches wouldn't have had to be done. I know it seems that the A's can't do right in some of our eyes, no matter what they do, but they put themselves in that position, as displayed by the show of solidarity with KC yesterday!

I did some checking last night and heres a few changes that I've noticed.

1. No more T-shirt/ bracelet sales on Caylees site.
2. No more family emails listed on site
3. Anthony family emails addys now inactive
4. No more friend requests on Caylees MS

I see it as their new beginning and move in a better direction.
I'm thinking this should make people happy that they are bowing out of the limelight, but I'm sure there will still be critisism for it, 'cause fault seems to be found in everything they do.
Whats your take on it?

Thanx, butwhatif?, for beginning this thread so that we can share stimulating
possibilities of a possible "new direction" which requires us to move beyond
our typical readiness to indulge ourselves with more of the same old stale, criticism & ridicule (which has become quite boring)!
