A new beginning for the Anthonys?

At the memorial Cindy was already showing her bracelets.. I think new merchandise is on the horizon...How pathetic... How about just asking Casey in plain English to tell the truth for a change....

I'm afraid the other part of their "new beginning" is GA acting as a spokesman & fundraiser for KFN.....his heart might ne in the right place, but he is hooked up with the wrong people.....where is BC and why doesn't he try to protect GA from this?

Of great interest to Websleuths and important pieces of the puzzle for the prosecution.
But the primary concern is a self obsessed, silly young woman killing an innocent child. It is not unusual for family to claim the perps innocence. We don't really need to second guess or psychoanalys them, although they may themselves benifit from some thearapy. It's not part of concluding a successful prosecution of this murderer.

Perhaps not this case.. but if people are made more aware of and better understand the signs and symptoms of these types of illnesses perhaps they may be able to ward off an similar situation in their own life, with their own child or co-worker or whoever. Mental illness is not simply a family's problem, it effects us ALL and people need to realize that stuff like this is going to keep happening. I'd think society would be getting tired of it and begin to ask the important questions.. things like "WHY?!?!" and "What makes people like this and how can we stop it from happening?"

It seems, to me anyway, that THAT is where the concern should be!

I believe they are in a stage of transition.
New t-shirts, bracelets and who knows what else will soon be for sale. The donation drive will be back with a bang. The unveiling of the new foundation website will show what they are up to.

I watched the GA video from today. He is helping out w/ Haleigh. He is so angry in the interview, so angry. Clearly, he is in no position to help this family or any family both emotionally and b/c of the baggage this family has. But, what really irked me, was when he asked for donations for the family. He didn't ask for donations for the search. Does the Anthony family believe that if you lose a child you get to go on "donation welfare", I don't get it.

I do take your point and concede that learning what we can from this is great.

Though as the saying goes "It's about Caylee"

I would hate to see defference for the A's psychological state hamper or slow the case and justice.

I am under the impression that KC did not have insurance, she would have been a cash pay patient. I would prefer the Anthony family to maybe setup a foundation that helps pay for mental help for single young mothers. Or to provide counseling and daycare for young mothers who are struggling emotionally. They would have better acceptance in the prevention "market" and this is an area that is overlooked.

I don't think their involvement was contingent on them believing their story or not. IMO that's not why they were there. (But I get your point.)

I stand by my opinion that this family does not have the credibility or profile to "help" the families of other missing children. Today's incident shows another reason... George and/or any other member of the Anthony family has his or her own gallery so to speak.

A gallery that follows them like a golfer on the course. Wherever he shows up, reporters are going to ask about Casey and not focus on the currently missing child. That is detrimental not helpful. Today should have shown George that, if he is sincere about helping.

Sometimes the best way to help is to just stay out of the way.

I think this has been in the woodwork for 6 months, so I don't think this is a new beginning but a plan of action by the Anthonys and KFN.

They need somebody like George to ensure the foundation. He is likable and people would more likely part with their resources if George is asking for assistance. People have developed a distaste for anything Cindy so GA will be highlighted and perhaps Cindy will be the treasurer...IMO.

The public may feel sorry for GA and for his loss, but as unsympathic as it sounds, his granddaughter did not disappear at the hands of a sick stranger, nor was she "kidnapped"- she was never "missing".... his daughter killed and dumped poor Caylee like trash and the A's haven't even come to terms with that yet. I do believe GA needs something to occupy his time, and make him feel he has some value and is honoring Caylee's memory, but being a public advocate for missing children isn't it. If GA really wants a charity outlet to honor Caylee, he would probably be much better off in some other venue, like the afore mentioned counseling for single mothers, or safe havens, almost anything EXCEPT missing children! JMO

I don't understand why people keep saying Caylee was not missing. Her whereabouts were unknown to anyone but her killer for 6 months. Is that not the very definition of missing? The news is reporting that Haleigh is missing. If, heaven forbid, she is found dead someplace in 6 months, does that change the fact that she's missing now?

I think it is because Caylee was supseceted to be dead from the get-go. The 31- days was such an alarm. Then, even after the family smelled the decomp...they still spinned the "missing factor." I always thought that the brass at Orange County LE gave into Cindy on this.

Dollars to donuts....Hayleigh's "missing" has to do with her biological mom in some way.

There is no way that George could Not know, they watch tv and read the newspapers and seem to live on the internet.
The fact that George does know the Milstead's are scum is the part that bothers me most of all. He doesn't care because a new road to riches has been uncovered to him and he will never again have to worry about Lee buying him the book, "How To Find A Job For Dummies".
As far as the Caylee Foundation, I have heard that George is not going to be a part of that, per Cindy's wishes. I have no link, we'll have to wait and see on that one.

I hope the Anthonys got closure with the memorial service and will now reclaim their private lives. There’s no need for them to make any media appearances of any kind.

Until the next document dump or scandalous revelation (a la Gil Cabot), if we're lucky we've seen the last of Baez, Conway, Luka, Baden-Kenny and the other satellites circling around Miss Casey, for a good long while. It’s time for Nancy Grace to move on from the daily coverage, and for Leonard Padilla to return to his bounty hunting.

As for Miss Casey, perhaps it’s best if she simply remains silently trapped in her little jail cell eating white bread sandwiches for the next year while her attorneys work on her defense and the state works on her prosecution.

By the time this case comes to trial, there may be no need for a change of venue. As long as Casey remains incarcerated, the public is going to forget all about her because the popular wisdom is that she’s exactly where she belongs.

I second this statement......and add that there have been countless children gone missing since this case came to light, not including little Haleigh and Adji from Florida. I am hoping that we have seen the last of all the A's until it is time for KC to plea (please please, save your family the trial Kc) or for the trial to begin.

I hope out of consideration for his health (bold). I don't think it is a good idea that any of the Anthonys have anything hands on to do with the caylee foundation. Please let legitimate people run it and let there be NO controversy surrounding it. Enough is enough already.
