Adult Entertainment Industry: Case related

Speaking of phones, this is something that I've long wondered about. ( link )

When cops got Barthelemy's phone records, they determined that around the time she vanished, she checked her voice mail from Massapequa, L.I. They showed her picture at several motels, but no one recognized her.

They traced a second phone that belonged to her to an ex-con who said he picked it up after a tussle between hookers in Times Square orchestrated by a pimp.

I have a theory about the first phone call- She never stayed at that motel in Massapequa. I am seriously entertaining the theory that the call was made from her cell phone after she was already dead from a vehicle that someone parked in front of the motel or in its parking lot so the signal would ping making it appear that she was at the motel.

When they checked, there would have been no way for the authorities to differentiate between a call that was made from within one of the rooms or one that was made out on the street or in the parking lot.

This all makes sense in my mind due to the suspected illegal business activity that I have traced to that one address on Old Sunrise Highway in Massapequa (a block and a half away

Melissa Barthelemy wasn't at a hotel. That was Megan Waterman (in Hauppage) or Maureen Brainard-Barnes (in NYC).

They would not leave for a job without their phones. I don't buy that.

To the posters who have experience in the escort industry, this is the question I've been meaning to ask. Do clients ever ask escorts to leave their phones at home? Are there any reasons why a woman might agree to this, other than desperation?

There is a motel across the St from the Bx zoo. Most of the people there are cross dressers. They hang out at McDonalds next door. Its only minutes from the highway that leads to the neighborhood MB lived in. The next time I go to the zoo I will ask around if anyone they know went missing.

This a a related story from November 2012:
http://www.wjla.com/articles/2012/1...growing-trend-in-northern-virginia-82169.html
"The FBI says Strom and other gang members used numerous recruiting methods, even Facebook, sending more than 800 messages from a bogus account....

Michael Tavon Jefferies says gangs use girls to recruit new victims and build trust among teens.

“Women will talk ...to a woman more than a guy. Everyone who got recruited, recruited somebody else,” said Jefferies. “They'd go on facebook, talk to them and stuff like that.”

The whole "no phone thing" made me think of Chandra Levy who went missing from Washington DC without her phone in 2001. She was not a sex worker but an intern having an affair with a government official. The fact that she left her apartment without her phone seemed the strangest of all until her body was found in Rock Creek Park, at which point LE concluded she was attacked while jogging, and they convicted the killer based on witness testimony (one that said he confessed in prison, two others who said he tried to attack them previously).

I guess it makes sense that she might not bring her phone jogging if her jogging suit didn't have pockets... but considering all the funky things that happen Washington, I've always kind of wondered if this was the whole truth.

Maybe all 10 bodies just ended up in OB after these folks happened to go for a jog on the beach (without their cell phones?) Seems at least as believable as the LE theory that SG ran out of her pants and drown in a foot of water.

New hearings will now address the Chandra Levy case including "...some information relating to the reliability of the testimony from a government witness"

I'm glad they're still looking into the Chandra Levy case. I never thought that the guy they convicted was guilty.

Yes. I don't take credit for it. One of the mods advised me how I gain legal rights by adding the copyright. I looked into it. Very powerful stuff! Even a cut-and-paste on anything public (like another website) creates entitlement to financial damages.

Problem solved!

I just read (see link below) that one may gain blog page/site owner info if you plan to sue for libel. 'Guess we all need to use this fancy disclaimer :)

If you don't mind, then I shall follow your lead and use your disclaimer on my pages...
how do you put it in your footer? She has attacked me also. I do not wish to throw fuel on the fire, but I'll follow your lead. <Modsnip> I was the ONLY ONE to go to federal court and put Akeem Cruz (pimp of Megan Waterman) in prison for years. No One from the Waterman family was in court. ONLY ME - defending little Megan Waterman. I was acting in accordance with the FBI and the Dept. of Justice and together all 3 of us prosecuted Akeem Cruz - a horrid, horrid sex trafficker.

Because I was so effective, forthright, and factual in court, the Judge slapped one extra year on Akeem's time in prison, above the federal statutes. THAT HAS NEVER BEEN DONE IN ANY SEX TRAFFICKING CASE TO DATE. I made history with my oration to the judge. NO ONE has done this - ever. The FBI and Dept. of Justice were in shock...and extremely pleased with the case!!!!

Good question. Someone just threw a very possible answer.

What high end places by OB don't allow cameras?

But here is another questin....if the place was high end why would alc show up in a hoodie?

Because she was going to change into lingerie or some other type of clothing that would be provided for her. JMO

See, I like this. Kicking ideas around. Everyone through there own personal research or life experience can add some kind of value to our discussion.

DS is a junkie. Would anything he said really be credible? This is the same guy that said he refused to be ALC's "pimp", and then turned around and let her use his home to meet clients, as well as act as the muscle when things went awry. He has never been consistent in his storytelling.

BBM

Do you have a msm source for this?

I've never seen any info that she took along a bag or a change of clothing.

ETA: My mistake, 2Cats. I misread your post. You're saying the clothing would be provided for her. (less typy more coffee. Kat.).

It's well documented in one of the TV specials. Check out the TV specials.

I've seen MANY of them, LI. Still don't recall that info being put out there. If you can post a link, it would certainly be appreciated.
