Which of the following would be the correct thought of Jodi as she was crying while Jaun was presenting his opening statement? .A. "I can't Believe I put Travis through all of that pain and hurt everybody. I wish this was all a bad dream. I feel terrible and I'll never forgive myself. I hate fhat I caused all of this death and pain." . ..B. "If only I would have not rushed and cleaned up better by wiping ths walls..if omly I didn't put the camera in the washing machine...I was rushing...you wouldn't be here, Jodi, if you didn't get sloppy. Now everybody wants me to get the death penalty. Juan is making me look really bad in front of the jury and he's doing it on purpose. HE'S SO PHUQING EVIL! *SOBS* *SNIFF* He is lying to them! I didn't stab Travis in the back when he was standing at the sink. I was stabbing him as he was stunbling down the hall. Juan doesn't know what the heck he's talking about and they are going to believe him. He hates me and I never stabbed him. *Sniff*"

More like 'Let's get this over with, give me the death penalty and execute me ASAP'.

If anyone is ever going to say that, it is JA. It's her one last chance to take control of the courtroom or anywhere for that matter.

Keep in mind she currently is in lockdown and has been for a week. That alone time must be driving her nuts

If she does stand up for herself expect more of the same. Travis was mean etc

And am I correct in assuming that, she has no ACESS to her jailhouse female lover?

did they not learn the first time? :floorlaugh::facepalm::floorlaugh:

Exactly! The jurors didn't believe her the first time and what makes the DT believe that woman will do any good at this point? In fact, I think the jurors didn't even like ALV.

Nurmi might as well get JA's slurring BFF to testify what a good person JA really is. :floorlaugh:

Newbie here. Hi! I just have to say I laugh every time any of you talk about Jodi getting zapped.

i wonder if jodi has finally realized that her life is over?

shes either going to spend natural life in prison or be sentenced to death right? so she's dying in prison. she wont be a mother, grandmother, she wont ever have sex again, feel the touch of a man or a loved one.

i hope it was worth murdering Travis jodi,i really do

I imagine she thinks appeals are a possibility. Everything that's gone "wrong" in this trial should be righted in another trial (in her mind)... she should be able to manipulate another jury, she should go up against another prosecutor, she should have better lawyers, etc etc. Since nothing is her fault and everything is everyone else's doing, I don't think she sees this as the end. I don't see her accepting any of this as final or upsetting. She will keep doing what she's always done and until that needle is in her arm and she takes her last breath, she will be arrogant and evil as always, thinking she will "win".

Reverence is important. This is a somber day. I can understand validation, but not celebration. So many people's lives were ruined by what happened.

I agree. Appreciate and extol the verdict, but stay dignified. JMHO

I would love to be a fly on the wall with Wilmott and Nurmi after Jodi Arias is sent back to the courthouse.

Bet there's lots of alcohol involved.
JA is almost off their hands.

They didnt believe ALV the first time why would they believe her now? The DT surely isnt that stupid.

Could it be that there is no one else who has anything nice to say and they have to at least try to present an argument to keep this out of the appeals court?

I truly feel for these two people trying to find any redeeming qualities for this person. Not that I would have ever taken her case, but I guess one has to play the game with the cards they were dealt.

Hey why didn't HLN catch up during deliberations .. it's weird that they are behind ..

and the only way she is executed is if she requests it and they honor that request. They only have one more dose of Sodium thiopental. They would have to go find more so forget about seeing her get executed unless she wants it.

In my opinion she deserves death. I would be satisfied if she was alone in a cell for the rest of her life. (Death with or without death would do this.) Jodi loves and needs attention and being alone would be death to her. Jodi has NO remorse, NONE. She regrets she got caught and only has and will cry for herself. Death.

I saw an elephant out my kitchen window today...well it was a deer but my heart saw an elephant.

Tomorrow I have to bring my Dear Hubby for his colonoscopy right during the trial.

I am bringing along my laptop, 2 iPads, and my iPod Touch + a power strip to plug it all into,,,,,,,,,and I will transform the waiting room into Trial Central.

Hubby is mortified, and says that I care more about the &%$& trial than I do his medical procedure.

:silenced::silenced::silenced:

When I was in Georgia got sister involved ---she is flying tomorrow and at first was perturbed she would miss it -- told her delta has hln on their Tv. She will probably try to catch it but with time zones?? Then told her youtube---she wants it as in real time ( HLN real time:floorlaugh:)

Did anyone else get the impression that Wilmott was avoiding Jodi by her body language. A few times when Jodi spoke with her it appeared she was reserved and held back for a minute before speaking.

She is happy that he is dead, therefore she will say that she is happy to leave a world so empty because Travis isn't in it.

She will accept the Death Penalty because she knows that she and Travis will be together forever in heaven. That's her faith and her religion gives her great comfort. (meanwhile the Mormon PR guys are holding their breath, hoping she doesn't refer anyone to LDS.org like she did in her pre-confession interview....)

BBM

Travis is upstairs; JA will be in the basement. Hasn't she been ex-communicated yet? The thought of JA going to heaven and stalking Travis for eternity is beyond terrifying!

They didnt believe ALV the first time why would they believe her now? The DT surely isnt that stupid.

Maybe JM hammered ALV so hard in closing because he knew she was coming back for mitigation??

Just to be clear, that is not her faith. The LDS faith does not support at all the idea that they would be together forever in heaven.

PS I know what you were saying....just wanted to make sure no one took that as reality. Yikes!!

This phase of the trial, unless otherwise directed by the court, will proceed as follows:

1. The defense may make an opening statement. The State may then make an opening statement or may defer until the close of the defense case.

2. The victims’ relatives may make a statement relating to the personal characteristics of the victim and the impact of his/her murder on his/her family. Victim impact evidence may be considered to rebut the mitigation presented.

3.The defense may offer evidence in support of mitigation.

4.The State may make an opening statement if it was deferred, and may offer evidence to rebut mitigation to demonstrate that the defendant should not be shown leniency.

5. The defense may offer evidence in rebuttal to the State’s evidence.

6. The defendant may make a statement, but he/she is not required to do so.

7.The court will then give you the final instructions on the law.

8.The parties will present final arguments.

9. You will then deliberate to decide on a verdict. Once you agree on a verdict, you will return to court where the verdict will be read with the parties present.

Just got home from work in time for the Guilty Of EXTREME CRUELTY verdict!!!
Had to come here and send you all a great big :grouphug:! Thank you Arizona Jury for being an intelligent group that understood what was being asked of you and coming back with 2 correct verdicts!:toast::toastred:

Now I must seek out video of today...my Mom told me JM was fabulous
(as always :blushing:) and that it seemed as if the DT gave up on 'the guilty one'! Hope someone already has it on YT, I will look around here first to see if any of our team members posted it!

Completely OT- To all that offered support, suggestions and concern...I went to the Dr last night had the nebulizer tx, put on antibiotics and albuterol inhaler and was told if it gets any worse 'do not come back, go directly to ER'! Just want to say thank you, I appreciate all of you so very much...Tricia sure has made a beautiful family here @ Websleuths!:blowkiss: (Just one little favor, let's not mention this OT again as I do not want to anger anyone again, lol!
