:seeya: Thanks for this update !

So Monday will be the big day ... and it is going to be very very interesting ...

:moo:

But how do they know she's taking the stand?

I really don't want to hear her mindless babbling lies for one more second.

I have a question concerning these "Survivor" t-shirts. There is a tv show called "Survivor" so wouldn't this be a trademark violation?

I agree with the original poster that you were responding to, but I see what you mean as well. We (the non-sociopaths) thrive on all of those things you mentioned. A new book, a steamy bubble bath, a hike in the woods, so many things to make us feel alive. I'm afraid the things that make Jodi thrive; manipulating, controlling others, lying, playing the victim, can all be satisfied in general population. I don't want her to have an ounce of satisfaction. Ever. The only thing that Jodi loves more than Jodi, imo, is an audience.

Very much true, but I'll give a little credit to her soon-to-be "community."

Even prison inmates get tired of bullfeces and know it when they see it. She may have a few hangers-on, and they will rotate, but I think she'll be considered weird and creepy by your basic criminal.

And the women in prison, not that I have a lot of experience, but I'd be wary of trying to manipulating someone who uses the word "shank" as much as the word "🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬"

I absolutely saw that. So many folks have said that she showed no real reaction, but to me, she was seething. She was giving the jury the serous stink-eye.

Yep, a very cold hatred.

She better BEG for the death penalty :moo:

Who will be giving the statements from the family?

Tanisha and Steven strike me as the two that could get through it (emotionally) better than others.

Dr Drew stated last nite that it would be Samantha and Steven.

Thanks so much. Last night was nuts trying t get here. I got home from golf and dinner and ran to the TV. Satellite glitches :stormingmad: Repairman to come today. I couldn't believe it when I grabbed my laptop. It was frozen and then went to a blank screen. I flew into hubbies office computer while he tended to my laptop. Laptop is fine now but I will have to watch Court online today. Ya know your obsessed when......lol

Oh I know! I had to pick my nephew up from daycare after work yesterday so that threw me off of my schedule a bit. I usually listen to the trial on my phone on the way home. Well I couldn't get ustream or ANY of the streams to work!! I saw on Twitter that there was a verdict and I freaked out because I was still driving!!!

I got home and missed it by seconds and I was SO mad. I saw on Twitter what had happened and I hate that. I like to see it live for myself. Luckily I was recording HLN so I was able to go back and watch it.

We're nuts.

It has ordered there shall be no further media interviews with the Jodi pending further court order.

Jodi's request for victim impact statements be presented via videotape - DENIED :rocker:

Discussion is held on Counsel for the Defendant's motion to withdraw - DENIED.Poor Nurmi and JW, oh well, I suppose they gave it their best shot.

thanks EE, sure wish we knew what was said during that discussion!!

I don't know if I'll be able to get through that without an Ativan. It's going to be SO SAD. It's hard enough just seeing them in the gallery. Ugh.

They're still babies.

My Scottie boy is soooo laid back, I don't think an explosion would rile him much. He's one cool lil dude!

Just came from the "Sequence of Events" thread... much more sane here!:bigfight:

Totally OT but so much more important than CMJA......I read Emmas story and watched her videos. What a precious daughter!!! (((((Heather)))))

Thank you for that! I'm really surprised that of the four items addressed in this minute entry, the only one I heard about was that JA wouldn't have any more media interviews from jail.
- Videotaped VIS: DENIED
- Victim's impact evidence discovery: DENIED
- Counsel for the defendant moves to withdraw: DENIED

Whew!!! I have been on pins and needles about the videotaped statements. I want the family to be able to deliver their statements live, straight to the defendant's face hair.

I have to say I'm actually really shocked that Jodi's Mom isn't speaking for her today.

Me too KCL. IMO, being a mom and all, it is my opinion that there must be some type of huge consequence (which I tend to think must be legal) to herself or inmate Arias if she does. But I am still left scratching my head...

Wanted to get your thoughts...If DB makes a statement for inmate Arias in mitigation do you believe it will hurt her in the end. The way I see it (based on the limited knowledge I have of him) is that he will talk about her in a loving manner, which (based on jury questions and their 2 verdicts) will leave the jurors feeling sympathy for him and come to the conclusion that she has manipulated and hurt yet another person. CMJA reminds me of a less talented Betty Broderick. CMBB was at least able to sway one juror forcing a compromise verdict of M2. It you haven't seen her parole hearing, take a look. 20 odd years later she still blaming the folks she murdered for forcing her to kill them. No wonder the parole board set her next hearing for 15 years out. There are still people who support her story, but all the violence and terrorizing was on her side.

Cackle - I've so often thought of Betty Broderick since this case started because Betty has never EVER exhibited a single bit of remorse for what she did, even to this day. I'm sure Jodi won't, either. They both got the end result they wanted -- that the one they loved could never be with anyone else ever again, and they should be punished for not wanting THEM! (Sorry so poorly worded - lack of sleep!)
