Found Safe AL - ANF, 13, Pelham, Shelby County, 21 Jan 2020 *Arrest*

  • #21
Thank you for starting this thread @GuyfromCanada, she used to be my "neighbor" in our apartment complex! She was always walking around the complex by herself, no adult supervision & she was essentially the permanent babysitter for the younger kids in her family. I noticed she was starting to act out last year threatening some of the other kids in the complex that were her "friends". I hope she is found safely I am so worried that something bad might happen to her. I don't know her parents or family, but she would always say hi & play in the grassy area near my apartment.
Thank you for sharing, alot of what you are saying is alarming. Still looking for clue thru the moms social media to get back ground. Trying to find a trail for the 13 year old.

Does willingly got into the car mean she looked to be waiting for the car and jumped right in OR she approached vehicle and talked with driver or someone before getting in? Could make huge difference in whether she was targeted or knew perp MOO

Police in Alabama need the public's help finding a 13-year-old girl who got into a dark Mercedes SUV on Tuesday morning and hasn't been seen since.

An Emergency Missing Child Alert has been issued for AF. The 13-year-old girl was last seen about 7:00 a.m. in the area of the Green Park South mobile home community in Pelham on Jan. 21.

In an update on Thursday, police said, "After reviewing surveillance video near Green Park South, we can confirm that AF willingly got into the dark SUV you see in this photo. Detectives have confirmed it is a Mercedes. At this time, it is unknown who was driving the vehicle. We are working to enhance the surveillance images, in hopes of being able to read the license plate number."

None of the pics images on google show side vents.
So based on the low number of glk's especially in alabama - finding somebody who would destroy it with side vents would narrow it down . Hope they are doing the math.
After market side vent sales -shipped to Alabam?

Another link.

Police search for missing 13-year-old girl who 'willingly' got into someone's car

ETA Just realized this happened two days ago.
I guess the "willing" meant they didn't grab her up and throw her in the car. Was she waiting or walking down the sidewalk when the car came up on her? Did they offer her a ride? Could they tell if they opened the door for her or did she open it? Did she get in the front or back seat?

Absolutely I do not understand why it would be difficult for LE to find the car if it's local...MOO.

I hope LE will define "willingly" got into car, as others have mentioned. I don't like the use of thst word by LE - describe EXACTLY what happened, don't sum it up -

Fancy car with special touches not caught on any other cameras by viewing in concentric rings from where she got in???

I just don't want this to be slow-moving by LE ( not saying it is) bc it's a young teen. MOO

MOO.

I never use the "T word", but this is what trafficking looks like. A lost youngster from a difficult home life going willingly with someone who promises love, $$, both, etc. I can see a pimp having mods on their Mercedes.
