I doubt in Lee County he is going to receive bond regardless of what his attorney is grasping for especially since he was already out on bond for a violent crime and his court history. What is that on his lips in pic, cold sores? speculation.
Aniah Blanchard kidnapping suspect receiving death threats in jail, attorney says
"MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) - The attorney for Ibraheem Yazeed, the suspect in the disappearance of Aniah Blanchard, says Yazeed has received death threats in the Lee County Jail and was moved to solitary confinement for his security.
Attorney Elijah Beaver filed a motion Thursday asking the judge to reconsider Yazeed’s bond.
The motion states denying bond for Yazeed, who is charged with first-degree kidnapping, constitutes a due process violation. Beaver states Yazeed was not offered an opportunity to respond to the state’s motion, and the court granted the motion without a hearing or examining any evidence.
The motion also claims the state’s allegation that Yazeed has “an extensive history of violent criminal offenses” is false, saying Yazeed’s criminal record contains no convictions for any violent charge at all."
I grew up in that area and i know those folks there are strict about future perception and setting a tone.
I was in a situation when I was in college and got in trouble for a low level misdemeanor on my way down hwy 280 one night. I will never forget my lawyer telling me if i was 5 miles east I would be looking at a much stiffer penalty for something that was really "boys being boys". He told me that he didnt know what angel sat on my shoulder just below my empty head, but I needed to give thanks to the Lord above that I didnt cross that political line on the map or other wise Id be in paying money I wouldnt have had at that time by a long shot, name in the papers, and pushed for a penalty that would cost me at max 12 months.
IY is going to realize he isnt in Montgomery where the crap he's pulled in past is going to net the same result. Lee County just doesnt have that kind of crime around there and they are looking for a cause to make a clear example to the county, state and to the USA that they have a zero tolerance with kid napping especially a kid napper who is currently on bond for the exact same thing. i would expect his lawyer to split once this preliminary hearing is over.
