I don't think it says anything. They were getting all sorts of questions about their two statements so maybe they decided to remove them so they weren't a distraction to the case. Perhaps the investigating PD asked them to even, for some reason.
I agree with @Knox in that it speaks volumes, imoo.

Very odd lack of response by LE in IMO
I don't think it's odd if they have an idea of what happened and feel there is no immediate danger to the public.

I'm very interested in what LE has to say at the press conference. I'm still not 100% certain what is going on but the fact that the neighborhood cameras showed her walking down the sidewalk prior to arriving at her house gives me pause.
Along with that, the fact that first responders found her alert and speaking (after walking down the street) speaks volumes to me. JMO

Let me ask. Does it make sense that an apple watch was in her purse? Isn't that something people wear all the time? That would be a tracking device, as would be her phone.
She works in a spa. I’ve worked in one and my Apple Watch and phone often ended up in my backpack, purse or a scrub pocket after we closed because of the cleaning and disinfection, chemicals and protocols. Even after wearing gloves, I’d remove my watch to clean it and my skin under it because some of the chemicals for treatments and cleaning were caustic.

I assumed they were referring to the work place rumors that are out there all over social media. In that case, they (her place of employment) would be able to confirm or deny if those things actually took place or not.
Thank you. I’m unaware of any workplace rumors. Maybe that’s why I’m confused!

Court tv reported that she may have stolen from her employer (previous post). That was maybe the rumors they were referring to? IMO.
Ahh. Thank you.

So she went to Target before she disappeared and bought snacks that weren’t found in her car? Her phone, purse, etc. were left but snacks were taken?

“Among the new details, police say after leaving the Colonnade Thursday, she went to Target on Highway 280 and purchased snack food that wasn’t found in her car when they found it on the side of Interstate 459.

Police also say they have found no evidence of a toddler walking down the interstate.”

LE scheduled a Press conference for tomorrow.

Kidnappers gotta eat, too!

I feel like the wording from LE is very carefully thought out.
Yes. And it seems to point to this being a self-imposed disappearance. Not an abduction.

1. Everything they uncovered at the day spa could be good, bad, or neutral. Did she get called to the phone repeatedly by the same incoming number? Did she go out in the parking lot and talk to someone? No facts yet.

2. Snack food at Target could be anything from trying to replicate the flavors of the missing Tzaziki's style food that she was in the mood for with a hummus cup, to a candy bar she ate while driving and put the wrapper in her pocket, if she's someone who hates trash in her car.

Makes me feel like if there indeed was an act of aggression it was perhaps targeted toward Carlee specifically. But the cops also said not to be scared one bit when Bryan Kohberger was on the loose :/ and to "travel in pairs" as if they forgot he murdered 4 people at once by himself.

Sometimes the stuff cops say in these scenarios doesn't make sense because they want to make sure the public doesn't panic, etc.

MOO
I’ve mentioned this to several people, with the same reference to Idaho.

The snacks could have been in her pocket..

Possibly, however the police felt it important enough to include that the snack items were not found in or near the car, which in my opinion would allude to the items being significant enough in size that they wouldn’t reasonably have been consumed in the short time following the purchase prior to her disappearance and/or the wrappers/grocery bag (if used and also missing) wouldn’t be something someone would easily put in their pocket under normal circumstances. (I am one of those people with an extremely tidy car who never leaves any trash in it and have never thought to put food wrappers in my pocket when driving after consuming a snack.) I guess we shall wait and see.

Do we know if the Target trip was before or after the trip to Tzatziki’s?

"Talitha Russell was shocked at the amount of people who "maliciously lied" during the investigation, she told TODAY in an exclusive interview. She said Carlee Russell is having to deal with the trauma of people making false allegations about her."

Carlee Russell update: Hoover Police reveal investigation details 'not previously discussed'

Additional information will be revealed during a press conference Wednesday (July 19) at 2:30 p.m.

The amount of people maliciously lying about her daughter? If there are several people saying the same type of stories about Carlee, would you be apt to believe that they all are lying and only Carlee is telling the truth or vice versa?

JMO.

I hope I've linked this story from thread 1 correctly. It is most likely nothing, as it hasn't been mentioned again, but I find myself wondering what business she had with the police in Harpersville. According to a map search it is 40 minutes away from Hoover.
She may have had to get fingerprinted for nursing school.

Good point about the size of the snacks. If she bought a pack of gum and an individual bag of chips, I don’t think they’d mention it. Of course they wouldn’t be left in the car, they’d have been eaten right away. It sounded to me more like a shopping bag full of snacks that she wouldn’t keep on her person.

I did a very quick (and not completely thorough) search and found a shopping center called The Shops at Colonnade/The Colonnade Shops located near her with a Tazikis in it. It’s been reported that she left The Colonnade and then went to Target. That being said, I assume she went to Tazikis first.

Why wouldn’t she just get a frozen/microwave meal or something though? (If she was presumably headed home.) I’d assume since she was picking up food for herself and her mom they would’ve eaten their meals together so was she just gonna snack on her drive back and watch her mom eat back home?

no hate on you (just for clarity) it’s just another thing that’s puzzled me.

also if the food she ordered had been left in the car, the potentially kidnapper/s could have taken the snacks only due to them being sealed and easy to keep.

She chose to get snacks. Maybe she preferred snacks.
