Impatiently awaiting the PC. Hopefully it will clear up a whole bunch of stuff.

But as of 9pm last night, “Hoover PD says they are waiting for a chance to get a second interview with Carlee.” (Emphasis in quote is mine)

Smh. I don't know if any cases where the victim of an actual abduction would not fully cooperate with police.

I don’t think they’ve said she’s not cooperating

Anyone have a link for the presser? And what time will it be? TIA

This is a polite way of saying Carlee is refusing to speak with LE IMO. How easy it is at the onset to call 911 and create a dire emergency so police come racing to the scene, devote many hours to searching, then reappear and just clam up.

“Hoover police said on Tuesday that they have so far spoken with Ms Russell only “briefly” on her return home and that – three days on – they are still waiting “for her to be made available to obtain a more detailed statement” about what happened to her in the 49 hours she was missing.”

No, they haven't said it in those exact words, but they did say they are awaiting a second interview. I'd think if an abductor were on the loose she'd want to see they were apprehended and charged accordingly.

The longer she waits to talk to LE, and the more her family speaks for her, the worse the optics become. JMOO

They have had plenty of time to hire an attorney to help navigate them through this. JMO

i feel like the best thing Carlee and her family could do would be to get a lawyer and go talk with the police... ASAP.

I’m now wondering if the entire story about the restaurant was made up too. I’ve only seen it said by the mother. LE mentioned snacks from target and the snacks not being found, but nothing about the restaurant or food. Very odd

if she did fabricate her story she is probably in an absolutely massive shame spiral. if she’s smart or gets a good lawyer she won’t say anything to the media or the police and certainly not without counsel.
I'm on the fence on this. Ordinarily, I'd agree NEVER talk to LE if you're accused of a crime. But this situation is different. It may be that the longer she waits to speak to police, the worse the outcome might be for her, as she's continuing to soak up man hours for a non-case. (provided she wasn't actually abducted.) Also, the longer this goes on, if she wasn't abducted, the more shame she'll feel (presumably) and the more her name will be out there permanently attached to this situation. It could impact future employment and other opportunities. JMOO

Are the police saying she never went to Taziki's? There is no mention of that stop-only Target for snacks.
When they say/said ‘the Colonnade’, that appears to be LE’s local abbreviation for Taziki’s.

“In a Tuesday night update, police said Russell went to Target after leaving The Colonnade and bought snacks.”

The Colonnade is the location of the Taziti restaurant.

I can't even imagine what it must be like for Carlee right now.
Best thing she could possibly do, is tell LE the 100% God's honest truth about everything.
Then shut down all her social media, if she hasn't already, because that will just continue to get uglier and uglier.
I'm not sure what it is about social media that brings out the absolute worst in people, but in true crime cases we see it ALL the time. It certainly isn't helpful to someone already in a predicament, to read hateful, cruel messages directed at you.

Who was the person screaming with the baby? This is such a weird case.
Apparently, there was no toddler. LE could not locate a lost or missing toddler.
But as of 9pm last night, “Hoover PD says they are waiting for a chance to get a second interview with Carlee.” (Emphasis in quote is mine)
I cannot imagine this grown child being able to handle the pressure due to publicity focused upon her. In fact, if I were her parents by this point, Carlee would have had an attorney yesterday even tho she's not guilty of any crimes, that we are aware of at this time. Even the innocent need protection of their rights and liberties.

So.. .Harperville PD took down the post about their contact with her. I wonder if it was made as a way to communicate something to her.

I think they meant it was Carlee screaming over the phone about the toddler; or maybe her SIL.
