Why would Danni and DW drive to the Shell station and disable the GPS before collecting the phone, especially given that the Dublin closed at midnight? Why didn't they do that at The Dublin?

What was the consensus on the ping? I'd it a regularly updated thing or is there some event that triggers it? I've read the GPS was disabled, turned off, or possibly malfunctioned. Is it triggered by starting the car? Shifting gears? If it is not anyways searching and the is an event that triggers it, then is it possible the car wouldn't have pinged again after the gas station? I honestly don't think DW had anything to do with it, but depending on what is required to obtain a ping whoever stopped her been the Shell and Dublin's could have done it.

LE has never alluded to where that location is, that location could simply be the Shell station as far as we know. The quote from JDT was they split ways and DNV went towards a more populated area .. (Which could be any direction)
Was there not statement that LE had her on video from some homes along the way?

I think I read he was concerned about her being alone and offered to go with her.
Is this after sitting with her in the parking lot for 20 minutes? Did he ever say anything about that? The problem I have with this is that he shows up at Dublin's and is reportedly looking for her phone right away, and goes to Ollie's pretty quickly. If she was to arrive any minute, how long did he wait for her to appear before taking on that search himself? Why did he text someone that he had her phone at 11:37pm (which doesn't leave a lot of waiting time if he only left the Shell at 11:24pm) I think he knew she was doing something and they were expecting her at Ollie's when she was done, because any looser plan wouldn't make a lot of sense considering there was no way to communicate with her, and the kind of considerate guy that is concerned about her being alone isn't going to bail to meet the gang after only a few minutes. Besides, why would he be concerned about a woman driving her own car on a Tuesday night?

To clarify, I am trying to get at WHY DW went to get her phone and ultimately had it. Them both going back to get it doesn't fit for a couple reasons, so I'm exploring why she couldn't do it herself.

It makes sense to me that they would go together to get the phone.

They were going somewhere together (not drugs) when she noticed her phone was missing. They stopped together, they collect the phone together, and they continue with whatever plan they had.

I agree. And the part about it possibly being a drug run should be thrown out of the equation. No facts to support such

Speculation of it being a drug buy is no less valuable than speculating she disappeared herself or drove off a boat ramp into the Mobile River, and is not intended as victim blaming. We actually have more leads that point to drugs than we do accidental drowning. A drug buy can be as innocuous as buying an ounce of marijuana - it does not have to be heroin or anything more nefarious or even have anything to do with the drug but the people. Nothing should ever be thrown out of the equation until it has been killed with logic or evidence.

Replace drug buy in my scenario with Reason X for why Danni sat in the parking lot for 20 minutes with Car 3 before they left and parted ways.

My understanding from everything that's been said is that he got to Dublin's, retrieved the phone, waited approximately 20 minutes before going to Ollie's for a little while and then returning his rental car.

The OnStar system can be tracked regardless of whether there is a subscription, or it is turned on. It has to be damaged or deliberately disabled to stop sending a signal. It pinged at The Dublin, and stopping pinging at the Shell station.

Someone did something to the GPS at the Shell station. If Car 3 is DW, then Danni and DW disabled the GPS. That doesn't add up, since they could have done that at the Dublin. They didn't need to go to the Shell station to do that, and they didn't need to do that when they were under a tight deadline to collect the phone before The Dublin closed.

What lead is there to support the claim that Danni drove to a closed Shell station to disable her GPS and buy pot?

Where does the "parted ways" come from?

Our timeline gives him between 15 and 20 minutes total at Dublin's, where he reportedly spent time searching, so now he has spent even less time waiting. In his telling, he searched first and waited last. Why did he take it upon himself to search for/ask for her phone right way? I assume he left when Dublin's closed a few minutes later. I do think he was concerned about her being alone, which is why he went to the Shell with her in the first place.

I also feel like she had a plan and they were expecting her to show up at Ollie’s once she was done. D

We don't know who or how the GPS stopped pinging, only when and where.

Why DW and Danni's movements are shady:

1. The story we have from DW is not the truth/whole truth (LE says DW may have told him more than he told JDT, the changing details, etc)
2. Danni sitting at the Shell for 20 mins with another car when her GPS stops working is suspicious
3. Her ex-now-roomate is a proven street drug addict and dealer - Danni has been exposed to not only him but his friends and associates
4. According to our locals, that Shell is a known spot for illegal activity
5. DW stating he was worried about her being alone, so went with her. Why worry about her?
6. She was celebrating with friends
7. She and DW were on their way to do something that would only take a short while before meeting friends back at Ollie's around midnight. I do not believe the story that she was accidentally following him to Ollie's.
8. He shows up at Dublin's and takes it upon himself to get her phone and update the friends. This is only reasonable if he was asked to do that, or felt a sense of responsibility for doing it (like them being more than acquaintances).

It is entirely possible that "thing" they went to do was sex, or to return his rental and then he'd ride with her back to Ollie's, but the reason I am working through the drug angle is to see how many holes we can poke in it, and because it potentially places people in the scene at the Shell who would have a reason to disable Danni and her GPS.

ETA: We know Danni uses marijuana. There should be nothing to hide about that - it just happens to be illegal in Alabama and require exchanges in less than favourable places if you can't arrange to meet at a normal place or are not on normal place terms with the connect.

We know that the GPS pinged at The Dublin, and stopped pinging at the Shell station. That's a fact. It did not spontaneously stop working at the moment that she was at the Shell station and at the same time that she and her car vanished. It was damaged or disabled between 11:07 and 11:24.

DW should tell police more than what he told others.

If TT lived with Danni, why didn't he pay rent in August? Why would he live with her when she was pregnant with another man's child? Why would she support TT? Why would she want to be around drug dealer while pregnant and pursuing custody of her daughter?

It's more likely that DW and Danni were not going to Ollies.

I’m sorry but how do we know she smoked pot again? Was it stated somewhere that I missed?

Five years ago, while giving birth, it was discovered that she was under the influence of cannabis. That certainly doesn't mean that she was a regular pot user, only that she believed pot would make birthing easier. That's it - nothing else to support any claims of cannabis use.

This information was used by TT to support "unfit mother" allegations in court documents.

What supports she drove the to disable it period? None. The

It was actually during and after based on his petition and the photos of her and her daughter allegedly with weed.

I don't understand how we can take DW's story as told by JDT as the truth such no since room, but doesn't order items good by JDT. The fact is there is very little confirmed evidence or information by LE or MSM (whose main source has been JDT). Perhaps the best way to attempt to weed through the case is to take the timeline as we currently know it, cite the source and disregard anything relayed not confirmed by LE and MSM.

ETA: to finish my statement I clearly forgot about, the only thing we know for sure is that two-three cars, purportedly DW and DNV, can be seen pulling into the Shell station at 11:05 and leaving at 11:25. At some point during this stop the GPS stopped responding due to unknown causes. DNV and the car disappeared.
