I’m still curious if the car accident was accidental or a deliberate suicide attempt. Has anything been said about that?
I dont think officially, but id be shocked if it wasnt on purpose. He was flying!I’m still curious if the car accident was accidental or a deliberate suicide attempt. Has anything been said about that?
If he could not put words into deceased children's mouth, that would be greatAND if anything was going on between the parents and the children the children were willing to forgive their parents
“I can tell you that the parents of these children that I saw love between them. I saw children that if anything was going on there those children were willing to forgive. If they can be willing to forgive, why can’t we”.@ 30:35 the preacher said he saw love between the parents and Raleigh and Kahleb AND if anything was going on between the parents and the children the children were willing to forgive their parents and why can't we?
Say wha?

Ahhh, ok now it all makes sense. This man is defending himself. He likely made some sort of recommendation for reunification services/allowing them to be placed back in the home under the grandfathers supervision? I wonder if social services knew the parents were even living there? Guess it will all come out at some point. All MOO.@ 11: 40 Joel, the preacher from Glen Allen Church speaks.
He says that the children stayed with him for awhile, he knew them and their parents,
It appears that they were in some kind of temporary-foster-care at his home for awhile before JEB became their custodian.
Kahleb had health issues.
Curious if the preacher (Joel) vouched for the parents and JEB?
He ends his talk/sermon with if one wants grace and forgiveness then the parents are to be forgiven.
I don't think I heard that wrong.?????

Sorry I should have been clearer on the December.Wait a second. Now that we know they were removed in December. How does that effect the known timeline?
They died December 8th. If they were removed and placed with the pastor in December, does that mean they were given back within mere days?
So when did the abuse described in the text message exchange happen? Prior to the removal? Is that why they were removed? How was DHR made aware of the abuse? They didn’t know of the text exchanges LE disclosed most certainly.
The pastor said Kahleb’s health was poor. I’m wondering if DHR even ordered an exam of the kids? Wouldn’t a Dr. have discovered the prior abuse? Now I’m questioning everyone surrounding these two kids, what a massive failure.
My fault, I brain bubbled that one - deleted my post made in error. Thanks!!Sorry I should have been clearer on the December.
It was the previous December, Kahleb was last seen in September and the accident was 3 months later in December.
The December before the accident which was 1 yr prior, the parents were investigated and the preacher guy got some kind of temporary custody of the 2 children then they went to the grandfather.

All questions I hope we receive answers to soon. Won’t be surprised to learn they absolutely dropped the ball. We see it time and time again. But we are starting to see social workers being charged in some instances.BBM:
Enter the state and the no follow up after the grandfather got guardianship.
I have yet to hear if the state is being investigated for negligence.
Was the abuse case closed by the state after the grandfather got custody?
I may have missed it, but I haven’t seen factually information that the grandfather had custody or guardianship of the children. This would be a legal action signed by a judge. could someone please clarify?BBM:

I think the custodian decision would be made by the social worker (s) and a judge would have to sign off on it.I may have missed it, but I haven’t seen factually information that the grandfather had custody or guardianship of the children. Murder is illegal everywhere and coincidentally murder without good reason (i.e. self defense) is also not permitted in Christianity (7th Commandment). The passage Romans 13:1-2 tells Christians they must obey the laws of their land. Their actions also fall under two of the Seven Deadly Sins: sloth and wrath. The Bible also places a pretty high value on the lives of children and infants. How weird! His message about forgiveness is 100% biblically accurate.

His message about forgiveness is 100% biblically accurate. But the context is off. God also demands Justice. He set up and consecrated earthy government to create and maintain order in his creation. If someone commits a crime they will suffer the consequences. That’s very different from being forgiven of your sins. We can be forgiven but still face the consequences of our actions. We are also called to rightly judge other people’s actions in certain circumstances. So the judge not, lest you be judged, perspective is out of order here.
He doesn’t address what the adults in the home directly/indirectly did to Kahleb and RyLeigh? But holds the kids responsible by saying they forgave? How does he know that? Ridiculously out of touch.
I’m confused? Maybe he was preaching this hyper focused mini sermon to promote healing in the community? Just a guess, but it’s tone deaf at this point before a trial has been concluded.
If WB & JEB go to trial I would think that the preacher Joel will be called to testify.Murder is illegal everywhere and coincidentally murder without good reason (i.e. self defense) is also not permitted in Christianity (7th Commandment). At the very least, Kahleb and Ryleigh's family did not obey the laws of the land (the United States) and broke a Commandment. They should not get to walk free from consequence just because “we” forgive them. They don’t get to walk free even if they have truly repented and “made right” with God (and who could tell if they really have or not?).
Unfortunately the "judge not" messages in the Bible are frequently misquoted and misused like it's going out of style.
MOO.
