AL AL - Kahleb Rowan Collins, 1, his dad & sis were killed in a car crash, he wasn't with them, Fayette County, 8 Dec 2024

@ 11: 40 Joel, the preacher from Glen Allen Church speaks.
He says that the children stayed with him for awhile, he knew them and their parents,
It appears that they were in some kind of temporary-foster-care at his home for awhile before JEB became their custodian.
Kahleb had health issues.
Curious if the preacher (Joel) vouched for the parents and JEB?

He ends his talk/sermon with if one wants grace and forgiveness then the parents are to be forgiven.
I don't think I heard that wrong.?????

@ 30:35 the preacher said he saw love between the parents and Raleigh and Kahleb AND if anything was going on between the parents and the children the children were willing to forgive their parents and why can't we?
Say wha?

“I can tell you that the parents of these children that I saw love between them. I saw children that if anything was going on there those children were willing to forgive. If they can be willing to forgive, why can’t we”.

His message about forgiveness is 100% biblically accurate. But the context is off. God also demands Justice. He set up and consecrated earthy government to create and maintain order in his creation. If someone commits a crime they will suffer the consequences. That’s very different from being forgiven of your sins. We can be forgiven but still face the consequences of our actions. We are also called to rightly judge other people’s actions in certain circumstances. So the judge not, lest you be judged, perspective is out of order here.

He doesn’t address what the adults in the home directly/indirectly did to Kahleb and RyLeigh? But holds the kids responsible by saying they forgave? How does he know that? Ridiculously out of touch.

I’m confused? Maybe he was preaching this hyper focused mini sermon to promote healing in the community? Just a guess, but it’s tone deaf at this point before a trial has been concluded.

If he could not put words into deceased children's mouth, that would be great
IMO:
I found his preaching highly offensive to the memory of the children, no less when they were alive and living with the abusive parents and grandfather.
His big concern was his own salvation by being forgiving of the abusive adults and parlaying that to the crowd who was attending.
We now know that he entered the abusive family picture in the December when the parents were being investigated for some kind of abuse/neglect and both children lived in his home for a time.
That ithe children were removed from the home is finally cleared up.
I am curious if the preacher is included in Alabama's DHR records that JEB's lawyer is trying to get unsealed?
Did he vouch for the grandfather getting guardianship and that the parents and children loved each other a lot?
I think he's afraid of his involvement coming back to bite him when/if the records are unsealed?
He could even be called to testify at a trial if there is one.

Ahhh, ok now it all makes sense. This man is defending himself. He likely made some sort of recommendation for reunification services/allowing them to be placed back in the home under the grandfathers supervision? I wonder if social services knew the parents were even living there? Guess it will all come out at some point. All MOO.

Wait a second. Now that we know they were removed in December. How does that effect the known timeline?

They died December 8th. If they were removed and placed with the pastor in December, does that mean they were given back within mere days?

So when did the abuse described in the text message exchange happen? Prior to the removal? Is that why they were removed? How was DHR made aware of the abuse? They didn’t know of the text exchanges LE disclosed most certainly.

The pastor said Kahleb’s health was poor. I’m wondering if DHR even ordered an exam of the kids? Wouldn’t a Dr. have discovered the prior abuse? Now I’m questioning everyone surrounding these two kids, what a massive failure.
Sorry I should have been clearer on the December.
It was the previous December, Kahleb was last seen in September and the accident was 3 months later in December.
The December before the accident which was 1 yr prior, the parents were investigated and the preacher guy got some kind of temporary custody of the 2 children then they went to the grandfather.

My fault, I brain bubbled that one - deleted my post made in error. Thanks!!

BBM:
Enter the state and the no follow up after the grandfather got guardianship.
I have yet to hear if the state is being investigated for negligence.
Was the abuse case closed by the state after the grandfather got custody?

All questions I hope we receive answers to soon. Won’t be surprised to learn they absolutely dropped the ball. We see it time and time again. But we are starting to see social workers being charged in some instances.

I may have missed it, but I haven’t seen factually information that the grandfather had custody or guardianship of the children. This would be a legal action signed by a judge. could someone please clarify?

I think the custodian decision would be made by the social worker (s) and a judge would have to sign off on it.

We now know the 2 children were removed from their home in Dec 2023 and lived with the preacher Joel (Asham?) who said such at Saturday night's vigil.
At some point during the abuse investigation the grandfather JEB became their custodian and the children went back to their home with JEB.
There remains so many unanswered questions.
Answers that are contained within Alabama's sealed DHR abuse investigation report on the family, the report that JEB's defense is trying to get unsealed.
I've yet to see the judges ruling on that motion.

JEB as custodian.

End of video reporter said JEB was their custodian.

His message about forgiveness is 100% biblically accurate.
Murder is illegal everywhere and coincidentally murder without good reason (i.e. self defense) is also not permitted in Christianity (7th Commandment). The passage Romans 13:1-2 tells Christians they must obey the laws of their land. Their actions also fall under two of the Seven Deadly Sins: sloth and wrath. The Bible also places a pretty high value on the lives of children and infants. How weird!

At the very least, Kahleb and Ryleigh's family did not obey the laws of the land (the United States) and broke a Commandment. They should not get to walk free from consequence just because “we” forgive them. They don’t get to walk free even if they have truly repented and “made right” with God (and who could tell if they really have or not?).

Unfortunately the "judge not" messages in the Bible are frequently misquoted and misused like it's going out of style.

MOO.

I'm surprised the preacher Joel just didn't come right out and say what he was alluding to that we should thank their parents for getting Ryleigh & Kahleb into the Kingdom of God.

If WB & JEB go to trial I would think that the preacher Joel will be called to testify.
I don't know if it's to the prosecutor's advantage if the defense calls him and they don't need to?

Is the preacher going to quote his Matthew 6:14-15 forgiveness preaching from the vigil when shown the images of Kahleb hung and beaten?
And if asked what he sees in the images will he go there?

"It's not up to me to judge"? (scream).

IMO:
The preacher and whoever else throws out the need to forgive card so you can enter the Kingdom of Heaven does so with an ulterior motive of getting themselves into the Kingdom.

I must say, Pastor Joel has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I'm not eating the poo he just served. Who is he to speak for those babies? Forgiveness may get lots of play biblically but you know what else does? Justice.

When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers. Proverbs 21.15
I said to myself, “God will bring into judgment both the righteous and the wicked, for there will be a time for every activity, a time to judge every deed.” Ecclesiastes 3.17
