Maybe the prosecution is waiting for forensic results...they searched the Bailey/Collins property 2x.
If they found evidence of KC then a superseding indictment(s) could be on their way ?

The last time the state filed on March 5 asking for the March 11th hearing to be delayed which was granted and an April 9th hearing was scheduled.

Pam Bailey and her father, John Bailey, were scheduled to appear in a Fayette County Courtroom Wednesday morning for a preliminary hearing. However, because the Baileys were indicted, that hearing is no longer needed.

“An indictment is a formal charge that is required in all felony cases,” Jim Standridge said.

Standridge is the public defender representing John Bailey, the one-year-old’s grandfather. Standridge was appointed to represent Bailey after the 55-year-old was arrested on Dec. 11 for failure to report his grandson’s disappearance.

“We have not seen the indictment, but we have been advised that will come down,” Standridge said.

The indictment reads Bailey "did torture, willfully abuse, cruelly beat, or otherwise maltreat the said KRC by acts taking place on more than two occasions."

Grand jury filings also revealed that Bailey "did cause serious physical injury" by binding or tying KRC with zip ties or ligatures to a chair or other object. KRC was also retrained or suspended from a ceiling according to the court documents.

In addition to the indictments against Wendy Bailey, new charges are reported in the grand jury indictments against Kahleb Collins' grandfather John Bailey.
