Documents made public within the past 24 hours reveal more details in the cases against the mother and grandfather of missing toddler Kahleb Collins.A grand jur

The indictment reads Bailey "did torture, willfully abuse, cruelly beat, or otherwise maltreat the said KRC by acts taking place on more than two occasions."

Grand jury filings also revealed that Bailey "did cause serious physical injury" by binding or tying KRC with zip ties or ligatures to a chair or other object. KRC was also retrained or suspended from a ceiling according to the court documents.

In addition to the indictments against Wendy Bailey, new charges are reported in the grand jury indictments against Kahleb Collins' grandfather John Bailey.

I just keep thinking about those babies and their sweet puppy dog eyes.
They looked miserable in every photo.
There are some who would give anything to have their own child, and then there are monsters like this who did not deserve the blessing they were given.
May justice be harsh.

Uggh, we knew from their texts that Steven Bailey had strung up little Kaheb to beat him. But this indictment states Wendy wasn't just a passive neglectful mother who failed to act. She was a full on participant to her son's torture. So much for the battered woman defense. JMO

At that age, he didn't walk away on his own or even if he walked anywhere, he'd most likely have been found by now.

IMO there should have never been conversation about her possibly being a victim or not an active participant, there’s actually nothing to indicate that she wasn’t equally or more abusive. I had considered and think I even spoke similarly. Maybe we wanted to believe it.

But looking back - he apologized to her for the child likely being dead after hanging there. Why would he apologize if he was actively abusing her also?

Given that her father was also involved - I think it’s very likely that she may have actually been the primary here.

Because they live in a world where it’s OK to string up a child. If you noticed, her response was basically a flat, it’s going to be OK . . . Who would text their spouse, oh stringing up our child had a bad outcome? Also, IMO, moving away from the rest of your family to a place that is isolated, is a huge red flag!

Sickening to learn all THREE of them beat a defenseless baby!! What happened to turn them into such monsters? I want to know if they also abused Ryleigh.

personally I think there were addiction issues in that household and that means secrets and things to lose. I suspect they all had something on one another and all were content to let sweet baby Kahleb be the scapegoat for that reason. Easier to join in then put a stop to anything abusive. To me it doesn't matter who the primary was. They all participated and that is enough for me, bury both beneath the prison.

What led to the crash? Was he under the influence of something and it was an accident? Or was it mounting pressure to produce a child they all played a part in killing? Intentionally wanted to end their lives to avoid the consequences.

Will we ever know the real truth?

After months of searching, the Fayette County sheriff's office says they recovered, what is believed to be remains of Kahleb Collins located in a burn pile at the family residence.

With the assistance of an anthropologist, it was confirmed that the portion of the items recovered were human remains.

The evidence has been sent to forensics for official identification.

I'm just glad they found something of him. Too many kids his age end up in landfill.

They may have collected the entire pit and sifted and sifted...

Grateful for the persistence of the searchers... they cared.
