AL - Kahleb Rowan Collins, 1, his dad & sis were killed in a car crash, he wasn't with them, Fayette County, 8 Dec 2024

LE stated there were no skid marks on the road where the accident happened. I wonder if this was intentional or maybe a medical emergency or something? IMO

What a horrific tragedy. Did the missing Kahleb have medical problems? How could three adults all hide his disappearance, if that is what has happened? Maybe the children's mother will survive and will talk, but it's awful to imagine how her life will be now.

"ABC 33/40 spoke with neighbors who live near the family. One said she knew the couple had a son, but only saw their young daughter. When they asked where Kahleb was a few months ago, the father said he had gone to live with relatives because he was sick. Family members were told by the parents that Kahleb had health issues and at one point the toddler was said to be staying with a friend of the family."

Was this sick child not taken to doctors?

I don't like the sound of this. I think we all know the probable outcome.

State investigators from ALEA-SBI have joined the search for a missing one year old child in Fayette County.

*****
It is believed Kahleb was not in the truck at the time of the crash; the site was thoroughly searched according to a county official. Information indicates the toddler may have been missing two months prior to the wreck and it was not reported to authorities.

(Article continues to say that several months ago, a neighbor asked the father where Kahleb was, and the father said he was sick and was living with a relative. Family members were told that he wasn't well and he was staying with a friend. The article references a FB post by the father on Nov 6 saying to pray for Kahleb because he wasn't well.

A neighbor told the reporter that LE was digging around the property.

A family member who lives at the property has been arrested for not reporting a missing child.)

Oh, no.....
This is a sad development. :(

If the mother survives, she may have some 'splainin' to do ?
Omo.

Who else lived at the home?
Snipped for focus.
I'd like to know that as well.

It looks as if Kahleb hasn't been with us for some time ?
Unless a family friend has him hidden somewhere ... and -- tbh, that's extremely rare !
Waiting for updates.
Imo.

Just a thought. If Kahleb did happen to be in the vehicle when it crashed, would it be possible that he was ejected up into the tree canopy?

This is RyLeigh’s obituary. My goodness it breaks my heart.

It states:
RyLeigh was preceded in death by her father, Steven Bradley Collins;…….
Those left to cherish her memory include her mother,….; her brother, Kaleb Rowan Collins……
.

Not how I expected things to turn in this case! How sad for this baby boy.

I wonder why they had the funeral for Ryleigh and not the dad at the same time? Or at least wait until Kahleb was located, not to mention the health of the mother. All IMO

Also interesting is that Kahleb (Kaleb) is listed as a surviving family member.

This is pure speculation on my part.

I think Kahleb has been gone for a while now, and they realized with the holidays coming up, they would no longer be able to hide his absence. They may have been able to bluff their way through Thanksgiving, but not Christmas, too many questions.

It was decided to go for a ride that ended tragically. Unknown if it was a mutual decision or a singular one.

all MOO.

I completely agree with this scenario.
