Honestly, speaking of trials and sentencing. I kind of hope these 2 see the light and decide to plead guilty in exchange for LWOP. I really don't want Cupcake's family to have to relive this horror through a long trial.
Yeah i wonder if they will be able to take a plea deal if that will even be available to them?
If no plea deal then it would go to trial from my understanding of how things work.

He has enough serious charges stacked on him right now I hope it's an option.

I so agree.
Cupcake is found. Family knows this now.
Cupcake lay with angels. Family knows this now.
Cupcake rests in peace. Family knows this now.

I would be highly surprised if the state agrees to one, which they must do even if the defense offers one.

What I hope doesn't happen is either one is allowed to plea to lesser time to testify against the other.. which most often is given to the female codefendant.

Imo, she was a full on participant in all of it.. maybe even being the mastermind, and dominant one behind it.

I have not commented about how Cupcake was killed...been having panic attacks since finding out. My mom died from that...I made the mistake of researching it after her death (I needed to know what she went through & if I could have saved her). I may not be able to comment or read anymore about what happened to this lil baby doll, but want everyone to know I will be here following along & I am thankful to all of you for keeping the updates pouring in...My heart is with Cupcake & her family...
May these 🤬🤬🤬’s get everything that is coming to them & then some

I agree, and good point about the testifying against each other.

I agree, and good point about the testifying against each other.

If any Alabama case demands the death penalty should be applied to both defendants, it is THIS ONE.

Imo the DA must send the strongest message to everyone that taking the life of a precious innocent three year old child is totally unacceptable, and all doing so deserve no less than death for the sentence for it to be just, and the one who fits the crimes.

Parents of murdered children I've followed through the years did not want any deal to be made with the devils who destroyed their children, and all of their lives as well.

I have seen many parents, and family members be in court for every phase having to hear, and see what these monsters did to their children, both very young, and older children.

They said it was very important to them for all to know what these kind of child killers did to their children.

They are far more courageous than we may give them credit for being for they do it time, and time again...there to represent their murdered children, and to let everyone know their children were much loved by all who knew them, and all of them mattered.

The more I learn about DB the more I think she is behind it all. I am not saying he is innocent by any means, just stupid enough to get involved. He could have stopped her. Cp is awful, but murder! It is so scary knowing that there are people walking around that have enough hate in their haert to want to kill some one they do not know, much less a little child. They were so spineless they could not pick some one that could defend their self. Murders, but cowards.

I know we are all (justifiably) horrified by what happened to Cupcake, but it seems to me we should wait until we know more about the evidence before apportioning blame between the perpetrators. I hope they have the right people and wholeheartedly want to see justice done for Cupcake and her family, but we really know very little at this point about DB’s role in this crime.

There are many WS members here, that are survivors of childhood abuse and/or domestic violence. None of us became abusive towards others, although many of us did become our own worst enemies in our younger years.

I have seen many cases here however, where the suspects have said they were abused as children. And I do understand how that could happen. In childhood sexual abuse, it is very confusing, because often the sexual play is very pleasant and feels good, if one is groomed by a 'loving' friend or family member. So it becomes convoluted, as your uncle or grandfather is telling you they love you, while they are doing some kind of sexual act with you. Very confusing for a child and can still be confusing as someone grows up.
You are absolutely correct.

<modsnip of personal details>

I know there are many many different types of abuse and I imagine the sexual abuse by a trusted family member or close family friend must be the hardest to overcome. I completely understand the confusion, the shame, and the long lasting impact. I think it's obvious that DB has some of that. I believe, based on her insta, sexy jobs resume, letter to the judge, and previous charges that the abuse had massive impacts on her. I think she was so willing to do so many different thinks on that resume because she was hungry to be accepted and validated. She needed the constant attention and would seek it out from anyone. She comes across as very confident and in love with herself but I think she's trying to convince herself as much as she was trying to convince everyone else.

I also think that somewhere along the way, years of this behavior really warped her mind. I don't think PS led her to this or vice versa. I think it was a perfect storm for the two of them to meet and I'm still 50/50 on who I think first broached the subject to the other. To see how far they were willing to go and realized they struck gold when it came to someone who would enact their ultimate fantasy with them. I would never say that DB wasn't a victim, in the past. I just believe that victim status to a backseat when she chose to go beyond perpetuating the cycle of abuse and cross the line into deliberately murdering an innocent baby.
ETA MOO so sorry this is all MOO

But we know her history. I commented yesterday, maybe last night, I can see her being the dominant one. JMO.

Just days after Kamille "Cupcake" McKinney was found in a dumpster in Birmingham, her older brother remembers her in a touching way.

Morning everyone!

While I agree with most all of what you posted on one thing I do not.

What I respectfully disagree with is when you say 'often' the abused becomes an abuser.

That's simply not true, and we need to recognize that fact.

There are over 6 million children being sexually abused EVERY year so if that was truly a deciding factor... we would see millions of both genders who were sexually abused, become abusers of other children or other various victims.

The overwhelming vast majority of childhood survivors do not become abusers, not only of children, but not against anyone else for that matter.

Now when they do find themselves in the criminal justice system will those offenders, and attorneys use this as an excuse for why they did so? Absolutely. Many will always place blame on others rather than squarely on all of the evildoers themselves. Its the same, yadda yadda, of don't blame ME...blame them. Ugh!

Imo the childhood abuse excuse is used trying to diminish the horrific violence they are charged with doing. This has become almost standard if the defendant is a female offender.

Ever wonder why it's rarely if ever, used as an excuse when the offenders are males even though boys in the millions are also terribly abused ? These excuses predominantly used by females are rarely successful in the trials or in the mitigation phases either, rightfully so, imo.

Like all horrendous murderers of both genders its only logical there will be those with an abusive childhood or some type of abuse in their adulthood, just like there is of numerous other individual murderers who brutally murder who have lived life without any abuse in it whatsover.

Imo, it's just a standard cop out excuse used by criminal female offenders trying to excuse the indefensible.

Jurors, rarely if ever.. buy it because it defies all commonsense, and logic. They know everyone has the same ability to make right or wrong choices about what they do, and who they decide they want to become in adulthood.

Millions of survivors of childhood abuses make the right choices to be better than where they came from when children.

Percentage wise only a few of them find themselves in the criminal justice system in comparison.

We can't ever lose sight of that fact. To do so it does a grave injustice to the many million of survivors who have become law abiding citizens never harming anyone, human nor animal.
