AL AL - Ronald Dumas, 37, Huntsville, 15 Dec 2024

FEB 11, 2025
“I just got off the phone with somebody for over an hour, and they have a lot of information. They are scared to death to talk to the police because of certain things that have happened in their past and their families. So, you know, that’s why I feel it can be a benefit to the investigation to have a third party—somebody who is not the police,” said Andrews.

“I don’t think that Ronnie was targeted because he was Ronnie; I don’t think there was anything Ronnie did that made anybody come after him specifically. So, anybody that was around these people that night—it could have happened to them,” said Andrews.

Saturday marks two months since Huntsville realtor Ronald Dumas was last seen.

His family said they can do nothing but wait, and hope that some miracle brings him home.

She has a message for Ronald Dumas if he is listening.

“I love you,” Deanna said, hoping her brother hears it. “I really want you to come home. If he could just tell us where he is. I would love that. I post on his Facebook wall all the time. I used to text his phone but they don’t deliver anymore. ”

The family and others are doing what they can. SMH.
He has be gone a while now, and every day hurts, I'm sure. We've seen this before -- with those being found alive, with those who were not found alive, and, as in this situation, those who are still missing.
Hoping this announcement may help -- there could be folks out there who do not know he is missing and may have a clue or idea that could be valuable; hoping the same for those who know he is still missing and possibly know something that could help in the search.
Prayers for those who love and miss him, and hoping Mr. Dumas will be found in good shape and on his way home. It's been a long wait.

The mother of one of missing Huntsville realtor Ronald Dumas Jr.’s children is charged with assault for a shooting last month.

The Huntsville Police Department said Tuesday that investigators obtained a first-degree aggravated assault warrant for Shakeria Samples following an investigation into a shooting on Poole Drive on February 23.

HPD officers responded to a shooting in progress around 4:00 a.m. that day, discovering one woman with a gunshot wound. A second female victim had already been transported to the hospital by a personal vehicle with a similar injury.

Both women sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the shooting, which occurred after a fight according to HPD.

SMH. Things are not going very well for Dumas and some folks in his family. His mom must be beside herself having to deal with these events.
Still hoping Ronald Dumas will be found alive and okay...

Interesting that she was arrested for shooting two women. Her child’s father was also last seen with two women and two women have been arrested for kidnapping. Coincidence??

MOO

I put a sad emoji because it’s sad that he is still missing and the family is left agonizing over what may have happened and where he may be. It is also sad that his family feels such a disconnect from the investigators. I hope that the investigators are keeping so many details from the family in order to protect the integrity of the investigation - not necessarily because they may or may not suspect the family or friends of any involvement, but because the fact that certain information was provided to ANYONE other than authorized investigators could become a huge issue at trial that could affect the verdict.

Maybe the suspects know something or possibly one or more of the suspects are afraid and will tell what they know about this.
Hoping he/she/they are afraid of getting in big trouble and knows will tell where Dumas was last seen -- recently, hopefully.
Just don't know what to think, other than bad news. Did Dumas get involved with someone (or more) thinking that things were okay with them -- until things went badly wrong? SMH.

Reading the background and crimes of the suspects, and given he was last seen leaving the store with 2 women, I suppose he was lured in link to some s**x activity, then robbery etc. JMO

Noting:

Others still being sought are:
  • Toure Laron McLaurin, 33, of Memphis, wanted for first degree kidnapping.
  • Sabrina Rochelle Chambers, 27, of Huntsville, wanted for first degree kidnapping.
  • Carissa Cash, 33, of Memphis, wanted for first degree receiving stolen property.

“Mr. Dumas is a father, a son, brother, nephew, and friend,” Alabama NAACP Legal Redress Chair, Joyce Marie said Monday.

I feel like (unfortunately) he fell into that limbo of he is an adult and he can leave. I understand why police departments tread slowly at first for adults missing BUT its concerning with evidence that can be lost. This man's family showed up for him though and made sure people were seeing his face, knowing his name, looking...
