Alec Baldwin buys massive $1.75M Vermont farm, leaves NYC months after fatal ‘Rust’ shooting

Farm?
I picture him like OJ…he will become bored
go out & pick a fight no matter where he resides.
They never go away.
Although… that cat of theirs tried really hard to run away.

MOO

I have never really understood why people have several houses. From the article...they have a farm in Vermont, house in Hamptons, brownstone in NYC.

They just sort of go from house to house. What is the point of that? Odd. JMO. It is not like a beach house or ski cabin...

Halyna Hutchins's husband says it's 'absurd' Alec Baldwin doesn't feel responsible for her death

"Watching him, I just felt so angry... to see him talk about her death so publicly, in such a detailed way and then not accept any responsibility after having just described killing her," Matt tells Today show co-anchor Hoda Kotb in an interview airing in full on Thursday.

"The idea that the person holding the gun and causing it to discharge is not responsible is absurd to me," Matt, who has a 9-year-old with his late wife, adds. "But gun safety was not the only problem on that set. There were a number of industry standards that were not practiced and there's multiple responsible parties."

"We don't think the weapon is what caused this," Hutchins family attorney Brian Panish said during a press conference last week. "The weapon was made to fire — it fired."

Panish added, "Mr. Baldwin was the person holding the weapon that, but for him shooting it, she would not have died. So clearly, he has significant portion of liability but there are others and that's what this case is gonna be about."

Tell it Matt!!!

I always thought it may have rubbed Halyna's husband the strong way, when AB came right out, immediately, saying how he was speaking with her husband every day and he was very close to her and her family, etc. That seemed like a PR move on his part. And didn't seem genuine.

He had just shot her, and suddenly he wants to be best buddies with her husband?
Quoting myself here, because I just KNEW that AB was rubbing Halyna's grieving husband the wrong way. It was severely cringeworthy, the way AB was making himself out to be such close friends, and discussing her son even, like he was close to him too.

I would have blown my stack if I was her husband, seeing AB on tv.

Wow! What an interview! Kudos to Hoda for grabbing that one. It sure does seem like Mat was none too happy with AB's whooping out his "I'm the victim" card.

I still feel that he ( AB) purposely called or encouraged the paparazzi to follow him to the 'meeting/ hug fest' with Hutchins for the photo op shortly after the shooting. IMO, he was on damage control from the start.

Matt Hutchins' body language during the "hug" with AB told me that he did not want to be around AB. I'm sure he was in shock and was just putting one foot in front of the other trying to get through the ordeal with his son, and his words to AB about going through it together was just polite empty talk. JMO.

I agree he immediately went full tilt with damage control. His actions and words have done nothing other than imply his guilt. Halloween, the missing family cat and so on. I’m an animal fanatic but that didn’t need to be world news.

“Someone is guilty but it’s not me” is going to be remembered.

Me too but AB has been so obvious, recklessly so, that I can’t imagine anyone thinking he is credible. He hasn’t shut up, the interview, Instagram, roadside drama, etc. It hasn’t served him well. I’m surprised he isn’t intelligent enough to realize he was giving himself away. It conveys desperation.

Im happy with the particular words and moments that Matthew emphasized. His anger is more than justified.
100%. What I get from Baldwin is that he doesn't want to go to jail. That's it. He never cared about Halyna or Joel. It's all about him.

You know, the whole network jockeying thing is an interesting aspect to this. He's sort of been an NBC darling for a long time. SNL, 30 Rock, and of course his ill fated gig at MSNBC where he only made it 5 episodes because of his homophobic slur towards a paparazzi before that show was canceled. But, instead of NBC, he gave an interview over at ABC and of course Hoda got Hutchins over on NBC. I bet NBC is done with Alec Baldwin, cancel culture at its best.

Haven't listened yet, looks like it might be the full interview.

I agree.

IMO if Alec hadn't been involved, if he were not there, he would in fact be very sympathetic and shocked that someone was killed in this outlandish way. But, since he is directly involved and did in fact accidentally kill her, his number one priority is getting himself absolved of any blame. Legal blame, civil blame, reputation blame or financial blame---this is his only concern.

Everything he has said and done since the instant Halyna died at his feet has been to preserve himself. And, after all, he's a superlative actor who is acting, that's all.
