I wonder what sort of treatment SA gets from the locals. Does he go out, is he still seeing BD? Have they left town yet? It seems like LE has pretty much put all of their eggs in th SA basket, so I figure everyone in the area would agree.

It's very sad isn't it.

Someone HAS to know something. It's only my speculation, but I don't think Hailey was abducted by some mysterious criminal mastermind. I believe the truth lies much closer to home. I would also speculate the greatest advantage the perp(s) had was time to cover their tracks and hide evidence. I'm very worried Hailey's case has gone cold.

I do wonder how some people sleep at night.

On the one hhand this article seems to give me great hope that LE is well on it's way to having a solid case against Adkins who undoubtedly is LE's basket they have every single one of their eggs placed in.. Upon first glance it seems to be a sure, solid, and well defined case of a murder charge against the sole perpetrator, Shawn Adkins ..

But on the other hand once carefully read in it's entirety I actually come away with nothing more, nothing new, and read word for word it clearly says that they need a person or a body in order to move forward with a prosecution.. Saying that they have to have something that proves that a crime was even committed..

I sadly do not personally believe that any search done by LE either publicly known or not has yielded them nothing as far as anything that can be used to prosecute Shawn Adkins or anyone else for the crime.

I do however believe that LE does indeed have their sights set on the correct individual that perpetrated the crimes against Hailey but thus far IMO the time that Shawn(and any other individuals that may be involved)had prior to LE's specified time that they were brought into the case was more than sufficient enough for Hailey's remains as well as any other key evidence of the crimes committed against this young girl were thoroughly disposed and/or destroyed... This IMO possibly will be what keeps justice from being served on this little GIRL's behalf, atleast for anytime in the immediate future.. Much like the Haleigh Cummings case with all such evidence not available forces everyone to have to wait for one of these Souless humans to suddenly grow a conscience(IMO not likely) or
A small miracle of Gods doing to uncover damning evidence overlooked, not well hidden, or not thoroughly destroyed..

I can't believe that the issue hasn't resulted in any arrests yet. Is nothing ever going to lead to Hailey. Sad beyond words.

I haven't posted for a while, but used to be on here everyday trying to figure out this mess. I have continued to check in about once a week to see if anything has progressed. When I did that last week and again today, I felt extremely discouraged. Are the person or persons responsible for this going to get away with it? I am worried that Hailey is not going to get any justice for what has been done to her. I am concerned that the time period of her disappearing (and I believe she disappeared on Sunday night, not Monday) and the report to police gave too much time for those responsible to hide her body and get rid of evidence. It further infuriates me that SA has not been charged on the child case! I cannot imagine why that is taking so so long!

In thinking of the Haleigh Cummings case...I know we probably won't ever get full justice for what happened to Haleigh, but at least they are all in jail. So, it made me feel like some justice was done, even if it was for drug charges, they were still punished. I thought we'd see that in this case with the child , that at least SA would be in jail for that and we'd know that no other children would be harmed by him either in the or anything else he may have done. But, now I wonder....will we ever see any justice in this case? Are they really just going to get to go on with there lives??? It's really is upsetting to me. I wish the community would start some kind of "Justice for Hailey" rally's and put some pressure for this case or the case to move forward instead of letting Hailey just fade away. If we wait for a body to be found, we may never have justice.

Ditto!! It seems that the only thing media is concerned with at this moment is the ICA trial. I surely thought that someone would have been arrested by this point, even if for no other reason than the CP. :maddening:

I'm hoping the charges will be big enough to encourage someone to spill the beans on someone else. Hopefully this won't turn into another Satsuma with everyone going to jail and clamming up, but so far with all the family's craziness it seems so. The pressure at SA's mom's house must be unreal....same at GMa's. Wonder if he is still residing at either one or renting a hotel by the month? Is she still in CC at the house?

Part of the investigation also is focused on what may have been downloaded or added to the devices intentionally, and what may have been stored on the devices inadvertently.

"Because of where some of the files were found, we have to make sure we know if things were downloaded on purpose. The computers involved were not secured, and so any number of people that had access to them could be responsible. We're going to take the time to figure it out and make the best possible case," he said.

I do however find this statement hopeful. Yet something is still nagging me.

IDK, SM...sounds like it would have to be a virus of some kind. I don't watch ..so I don't know if someone were on one of the particular sites if it could get on your hard drive or whatever he used to download it on without prompting???? Maybe a puter whiz can comment or put their two cents in. I have an idea, but don't know the lingo to express myself. LOL

I know what you mean about that nagging feeling. A big part of it for me is BD. I can't dwell on all she has said and done....and hasn't said and hasn't done ....during the past five months.

No, what they mean is that someone may have been downloading and the CP was in some of it. If something comes from a public source there is no telling what is actually in the file you are downloading. You might think you are downloading a video of the church choir but in actual fact it could be something else. Files from the public areas of the internet are often misnamed and/or have misleading descriptions of their contents, especially with . So when they talk about inadvertent downloading, they mean that someone possibly downloaded what they thought was regular , saw what it was, then deleted it. The deleted file would still be on the hard drive until overwritten by some other file however, it just wouldn't have its pointers.

It would be tricky to figure that out forensically though, unless there was just so much that it couldn't reasonably have been unintentional. If the CP was a small percentage of the total it was probably unintentional, since if anyone is downloading 100k+ images of from public areas of the internet it is unlikely that they could avoid accidently downloading CP as well.

This is nagging me a little bit:

I don't know but if he's not even sure how far they are in the investigation it doesn't sound like an arrest is imminent.

But I suppose it's possible he could have a warrant in his back pocket and just say so in order to keep the suspects calm.

I wish at least it would end up like the cummings case, where Misty and Ron are now behind bars on unrelated charges. For me, that gives me a little bit of relief that there was some justice served (yes, I always believed Misty was in on it one way or another, and Ron was just a bad apple).

I haven't given up faith yet, and do expect to see these 2 loving people behind bars in the near future.
