Yup, degaussing would work, but not everyone has ready access to strong magnetic fields.

A large speaker magnet , most people have speakers.

So sad but I don't think this case will ever be solved. The officials have succeeded in withholding so much information that nothing will ever be revealed or prosecuted. This will go on the books as one of the many unsolved cases.
I'm disappointed in everyone involved except the searchers who keep trying despite all obstacles.

This is nagging me a little bit:

I don't know but if he's not even sure how far they are in the investigation it doesn't sound like an arrest is imminent.

But I suppose it's possible he could have a warrant in his back pocket and just say so in order to keep the suspects calm.

Am I wishful thinking?

BBM- there is no such thing...lets keep up our hope for finding Hailey!

Oriah ,

I still have hope. Even some she is alive. They found something to indicate she may have ran away in the first days. I hope they were right then and are wrong now.

So many people have searched and the whole area is aware , I believe if Hailey Dunn was in Snyder or CCITY, she would have been found.

If she is deceased, (and I hate saying that because I hate to sound as I am giving up hope) I think she will be about 50 miles from the location of Ccity.

I say that because in researching MPC's or studying them I have found the amount of miles alot of people go to dump bodies is that distance from last known locations. Not far enough to be totally new to the suspect, but far enough not to be to familar.(IMO)

Citing some cases for reveiw.

There are dozens more. I just wanted to give examples to show where I was coming from with the 50 mile thing.

One reason I do not believe she ran away is because I think they would have figured out who she ran to, or with, by now. It is a small town, someone would know, or someone else would be missing. I did think it was possible at first, but even if she had "met" someone online, they should have discovered that by now, and a friend would probably have known something, and told LE. No, I don't think she ran away...bless her heart, she probably would have, sooner or later, if she had the chance. But with her dad across the street, she wouldn't have left.

I did not mean to imply she ran away at all- I don't believe she did.
All I meant was to point out that was "wishful and thinking" do not compute together in my brain. Hailey will haunt me until the day she is found, or the day I die- whichever comes first.

So I cannot give up on her. If she is gone- I have a dog watching over her somewhere. That will never leave me. If she ran away- I don't care with who- she is NOT safe.
JMO, of course.

That was all I meant by that.

In hope for Hailey's return; however that may be.

For a minute, I was imagining Hailey did run away. I would like to believe that, too. It just doesn't explain away why SA only stayed at work ten minutes, or the failed polys.

It's way too quiet. Hoping there's more going on behind the scenes that I don't know about. Prayers for Hailey.

No Bodies Found In Texas Home After Psychic Tip
by The Associated Press
June 7, 2011

Deputies who swarmed a rural Texas neighborhood Tuesday to search a farmhouse where a person claiming to be a psychic told officials multiple bodies were buried found no evidence of even a single homicide, a sheriff's official says.

Liberty County Sheriff's Capt. Rex Evans said there was no indication of bodies being anywhere on the property about 70 miles northeast of Houston. Officials ended their search Tuesday night and went home, with the focus of the investigation now turning to the tipster who led local law enforcement and FBI agents to the home.

Any LE agency with officers working off tips from psychics needs to fire them and hire someone competent.

I wondered about Hailey, too. I'm happy there is still hope but disappointed that this girl has still just vanished into thin air, as if she never existed.

While I tend to agree with you, believe it or not quite a few do- especially when they get desperate.

I actually believe it (oddly enough) to be a sign of hope. They haven't abandoned the case file- they're just usually so completely desperate for ANY lead, that they'll follow up on anything.

JMHO having worked with several LE agencies that were very competant and still finally caved to a 'psychic' tip.

Oriah you are such a kind person, I can tell that by your posts.

Thank you for all the work you do in the SAR threads.

Thank you Knox. I had kind of a frustrating night, and that just made my day. :)

Bumping for you, Hailey. You've not been forgotten at all. Many people are quietly working away on finding you.

Now if only we could get you on Interpol....

Oriah what is the benefit of having Hailey listed on Interpol? Are you thinking she could have been taken out of the Country?

I do think it remains a possibility. Unlikely IMO, but a possibility. But then again I think that in many cases where a child, teen, or young adult goes 'poof', with no evidence of foul play. The proximity to Mexico doesn't help me either.

No matter what we all think about SA or BD, or the lifestyle they live... there has really been nothing of any value released besides SA being a POI. The search efforts from the very start were hampered from many different directions. An entire (very small) community cannot hide knowledge of this type of 'poof' disappearance of one of their children forever.

Compare to the Lindsay Baum case, who is listed on Interpol. Why?

I wish Hailey had someone to advocate for her, but I'm not sure she does.

Search for Hailey Dunn Heads to Capital City

The search for a missing 13-year-old girl from Colorado City in West Texas has reached the streets of Austin.

Posters with a description of Hailey Dunn have been placed in areas of North Austin.

Dunn has been missing since December 27 from Colorado City about 250 miles Northwest from Austin.

It's unknown who placed the posters in the area, but police in Colorado City told KEYE TV that Dunn's mother, Billie, has moved to Austin.
