Yup, degaussing would work, but not everyone has ready access to strong magnetic fields.
A large speaker magnet , most people have speakers.

This is nagging me a little bit:
I don't know but if he's not even sure how far they are in the investigation it doesn't sound like an arrest is imminent.
But I suppose it's possible he could have a warrant in his back pocket and just say so in order to keep the suspects calm.
Am I wishful thinking?
Oriah ,
I still have hope. Even some she is alive. They found something to indicate she may have ran away in the first days. I hope they were right then and are wrong now.
So many people have searched and the whole area is aware , I believe if Hailey Dunn was in Snyder or CCITY, she would have been found.
If she is deceased, (and I hate saying that because I hate to sound as I am giving up hope) I think she will be about 50 miles from the location of Ccity.
I say that because in researching MPC's or studying them I have found the amount of miles alot of people go to dump bodies is that distance from last known locations. Not far enough to be totally new to the suspect, but far enough not to be to familar.(IMO)
Citing some cases for reveiw.

There are dozens more. I just wanted to give examples to show where I was coming from with the 50 mile thing.

Deputies who swarmed a rural Texas neighborhood Tuesday to search a farmhouse where a person claiming to be a psychic told officials multiple bodies were buried found no evidence of even a single homicide, a sheriff's official says.
Liberty County Sheriff's Capt. Rex Evans said there was no indication of bodies being anywhere on the property about 70 miles northeast of Houston. Officials ended their search Tuesday night and went home, with the focus of the investigation now turning to the tipster who led local law enforcement and FBI agents to the home.

Any LE agency with officers working off tips from psychics needs to fire them and hire someone competent.
Oriah what is the benefit of having Hailey listed on Interpol? Are you thinking she could have been taken out of the Country?
