According to organizers, more than 100 people took part in the search for missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn on Saturday.

I can not believe this is the only revelation that LE deemed crucial for the public to know at this time. What I get out of that statement from LE is..
We give up, ya'll are on your own, call us if ya need us, good luck.

I'm thinking that BD/SA did a better job than AB/B with Zahra.
Hailey may never be found.

This makes me so very sad and angry to hear / read.


This declaration of "We're tired of looking for you"....and it's honestly just too much!

When I see this I can just imagine tomorrows headline saying..."that's not exactly what was said....blah, blah, blah"....and it's infuriating!

So, we can issue an article saying no more searches - but can't address the POI "mess"???

Someone please tell me this is some LE strategy...please?

I am just wondering... how often was LE out there looking anyway? From everything I've read and seen, the weekend searches are organized searches, but it's with volunteers? I didn't think LE was involved in those searches.


I just looked on bigcountry, just to see what it said in some of the articles about the searches. And I didn't find any that said LE searching (other than landfill searches), usually just says volunteer organizations/HA's/national search organizations.


PK does make it sound like they are giving up though which is really sad.

this is the last article that I can find right now that says LE is searching the Big Spring landfill. This was Feb. 22nd.

do we know if LE has done any other searches since then? I guess just because it's not being reported on, doesn't mean it's not happening. But I haven't seen anything.

ETA: I think LE has been doing 'need-be searches' for awhile. I think it is the dedicated volunteers that refuse to give up, and I wish them all the best and hope that they find Hailey if she is indeed out there.

I just read a comment from a poster somewhere and they stated the cemetery across from SA's Gma should be checked out thoroughly...thinking HD could have been placed in a grave already there. Knowing SA's interest in the macabre, I'd say it's a good idea.

I remember seeing a case on TruTV where a couple dug up the grave of an elderly lady, placed her in his car and set it on fire....for insurance fraud. The guy disappeared for about a month and then the wife suddenly had a new bf. It was her husband...who had dyed his hair and changed his appearance. The POSs told their own young children it was a different person...even after the young children talked how it was "daddy". It was unbelievable what some people will do for money or drugs. The really sad thing too about the lady...her family said she had always feared being burned alive.

Oh No! When I read this my heart sank..

Revelations by city officials last week that Hailey Dunn may be deceased may have affected the Friday and Saturday searches for the missing 13-year-old.
On Friday, two volunteers showed up at the Hope For Hailey volunteer search headquarters and nine reported Saturday

Above BBM...Especially this bolded part..This makes me so very sad.. The volunteer searchers have literally dropped to the single digits with Friday there only being "2" searchers that showed up to search..and Friday still extremely low number of searchers with it only being "9" of them..Just a couple weeks ago the numbers were still large for the weekend searches{with and withOUT Laura Recovry..Klaas Kids..or Team Amber}..but now it is drastically a very small turnout for those to search for Hailey..

The article refers to PK's presser with the announcement about the stipulations on the reward money having changed{becoming much more lenient}.. even accepting 2nd and 3rd hand info about Hailey..and it can all be reported anonymously and yet still receive the monetary reward..Reporter News believes it is the words spoken at that presser is what caused the sudden and drastic drop in numbers of turnout for the search...

IMO if it id caused by anything my opinion would be that it'd be more likely due to the announcement LE made on the radio last week that made searchers now leary and not near as willing to get out there and search and again IMO the reasom is that they do not want to be any part of something that could possibly affect them negatively{i.e. the statements from LE alluding to the fact that ppl could get into trouble for certain things}..With LE as usual making everything so cryptic and not being clear on what it exactly is that they are "threatening" some type of punishment for..thus ppl IMO are hesitant because in not knowing exactly what it is that they can/cannot do they wish not to participate at all..

It is all so very sad and I am not having a good feeling about Hailey being found..the fewer searchers the fewer areas and distances that can be covered.. I just hope that I am wrong and that the searchers and locals that are able and available will take time out of their lives and yes..time even away from their children to help another family whose child is missing and no longer has their child..
