All about current searches for Hailey

The group announcing the article that was made public on 7-13-11, I have to say, another part of this has to do with emotional drain. Most of them have been out there every weekend for
months. The 7-10-11 search was a tough day knowing what was coming. When the coordinator
who was interviewed spoke at the end of the day everyone was racked with sobs. Believe me, this was not a decision taken lightly or easily made. NO, WE HAVE NOT GIVEN UP ON HAILEY. There is so much love for Hailey in this group I can't even begin to try and put it into words. My husband is asleep and I am itching to out fliering. Probably not the best idea to go out walking alone after 1am lol! But I feel very :banghead:

KTOTR, I completely understand. The emotional drain is absolutely exhausting.
I just wanted to reassure that Hailey has not been forgotten, and search efforts continue.

The more people who see Hailey's face, the better.

Searchers take new direction

The extreme hot, dry weather has taken a toll, not only on farmers, but also on the Hailey Search team.

The volunteer group of searchers will take a break from weekly foot searches for missing 13-year-old Hailey Dunn and concentrate more on getting the word out.
“There are phases in every missing persons case,” Kristy Lloyd said. “We have entered a phase where we feel the best way to search for Hailey is through flyer distribution and awareness campaigns.”

“We want to thank them for their work, and endless dedication and many, many hours. They’re not through by any means,” Mayor Carol Sue Dakan said.

The summer heat and high fuel costs contributed to the summer hiatus for the searchers, who are still open to conducting foot searches as the need arises.
“If in the future we receive creditable information on a location or have five or more people wanting to search for Hailey, we will definitely call on all resources to do so,” she said.

The group hopes to promote educational awareness in the local schools in the hopes of preventing future missing children situations.

COLORADO CITY - It has been more than six months since 13-year-old Hailey Dunn went missing and there still is no sign of her. Now, volunteer search teams have decided to call off the search. NewsWest 9 talked to one of the members of the team and she said it was a very difficult decision to make.

There is something I need to nip in the bud real quick regarding Hailey's search. I was informed that a few people are under the impression that *I* am the one who started coordinating the "massive August search" that is being pushed. This is NOT TRUE. I WILL NOT take credit for someone else's hard work. My only involvement with this hopeful effort is committing to being there if enough notice is given once a date is settled upon, raising awareness and reaching out to previously uninvolved friends. It's a stretch, but I'm working hard to help make this happen. But, should any of you hear that Keep Them On The Radar or Kara Conner is organizing a massive August search, please, it was not my idea. I only jumped at the chance to help. thank you and if anyone at ws is interested by all means message me. <3

Hey, y'all I'm sorry I have no news concerning a new search, BUT please for the love of all that is good and holy send me a personal message if any of you decide to schedule a search. My husband and I want to head back to CCity again, but the big search that HFHD was trying to push for August seems to have fallen apart. I know there are rogue searches that take place, but if anyone wants to get more people together we would be more than willing to plan a trip to help out. We know people in the area who would more likely that not want to join in. Regular searchers we have searched with before. My husband and I would just need some notice as we are in Travis county and it's kind of a big trip for us. Anything we can do for Hailey we are willing to do. Thank you.

Hailey Dunn Added to FBI Missing Persons List

COLORADO CITY, Texas -- Missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn has been added to the FBI's Missing Persons list.

According to the FBI website, Dunn's case is listed as a kidnapping and a $15,000 reward is offered for any information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for the crime.

And here it is six months later and the OP still rings true. How could no one know anything about her? How could her mother move away? How could she still be missing and have no one who cares enough trying to move Heaven and earth to find her? :sigh:

As the Christmas season fast approaches, so does the one-year anniversary of the disappearance of Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn, a fact many who have volunteered their time searching for the girl say ties them in knots.

And she stated they were doing searches for her.. Anyone know if this is so?? And was wondering if the clip of Billie pleading for Hailey to come home was old.. I believe it is as it's that same ol' blue couch..
