I have been reading along on this site since the Anthony case. I recently joined and this is my first post. Here is my problem with the oxy theory. If anyone else has already posed these questions, then i apologize.

First of all i was troubled by the lack of details regarding the night in question. When u take any type of painkiller the effects of that drug are not even noticable for 20 to 30 minutes. So how do they know she took oxy. If they all the sudden noticed her having a reaction it would have been at least (my opinion) 15 minutes from the time she ingested it. So how do they know it was oxy. Many things at parties like this could have caused a bad reaction. ie achohol and other illegal substances. So how do they know she took oxy? did she have some more in her pockets or something. were there pills near her when she reacted? The only other possibility is that someone actually saw her take the pills. If that is the case then there would have been plenty of time to call an ambulance or head out to the local hospital. I do not believe for a minute that every person at that party would have gone along with the "hide the evidence" activity. someone would have gotten her to medical attention. Now way a bunch of people are gonna let a girl die in front of them,regardless of the activities taking place at the party. Even amongst a bunch of druggies. it just doesnt make sense to me. Also, as far as the theory that they slipped her some to make her sleep, this doesnt pass the smell test either. People who are addicted to painkillers are not gonna give up even a few pills for a child to sleep. they are too expensve to purchase illegally and too difficult to obtain legaly on a large scale. Its my opinion that it would have taken at least 4 pills to cause a child to die. I just dont believe that 1 or two pills could have done it. the only other way i can see this happening is if she took oxy and someone gave her a drink of alchohol. this combination is extremely deadly and even a small amout of both could cause someone to stop breathing.

It doesn't make sense to me that Misty would leave the house and bring Haleigh and Jr to a party or any place that they could remember and tell Ron about later. However, Misty might have given the children something to make them sleep before she took them someplace else.

It wouldn't have had to be an illegal drug. IMO, it would more likely been a cold medicine or some other legal children's medication that they were used to taking. Most kids fuss at taking a pill, especially if they feel fine. However, if there was a pleasant tasting syrup that they were used to taking, they might not object. Misty could have given them a higher dose, thinking it would have made them sleep. However, with Haleigh being small and possibly taking other medications for Turners, her system may not have been able to tolerate it.

They said that Joe (the guy that Donnie knows that was going to sell me that Cadillac.) told the detectives that me, Misty, Whiteboy Greg, and Ronalds kids were at Chads and Haleigh got a hold of some pills died and whiteboy put her in my trunk and we dropped her off in a pond! Which is a lie. I don’t understand why he would make up that story and tell the police. They went and got my car from the junk yard and are doing some CSI with it.
Ask Donnie why his friend would do that. Joe wrote a sworn affidavit about this story. Jerry (who is Jerry?) wrote me a letter he said that you were suppose to bond him out (What, is Mama a money tree?!) I got a letter from Trina too she is going to get out in June (who is Trina?) I miss you and I want to come home. When you see Donnie ask him where my purse is (I’m prayin’ it’s where ever Haleigh is) I need my wallet. If he don’t have my purse I need you to go get Destiny’s birth certificate and social security card. Don’t tell Donnie because he has a copy already, it’s in my purse (so does he know where the purse is or not?) Donnie don’t get income tax (nope, can’t get that if you don’t work) so you can claim Destiny, buy me a cheap car and keep the rest of the money. (except for what she puts on your books, right?) Well I got to go.

I think the letter did prompt the pond search. It just fits. Even if LE didn't think the letter had much merit they would be stupid not to check out that pond and rule it out. I sure wouldn't want to be the LE that dismissed that letter and rumour only to have it come back later and be the place they should have looked.

NayNay's letter is rather obviously not what prompted the pond search. Rather it is a reaction by NayNay when questioned about the information LE did recieve that led to the pond search. At this point reasonably speculated to be "Joe"'s signed afadavit. We just keep thinking of it as the main reason for the pnd draining around here because this case is not yet subject to FL Sunshine laws, and as a result we have not been able to see any of the actual statements yet.

NayNay's letter is calling the story about the Oxycontin and the pond a lie, and is seeking to drum up an alibi for herself. If LE is referring to her letter as a waste of time, because they do not believe NayNay's story, NOT that they do not believe Joe's supposed story. NayNay's story is that she wasn't there, it never happened, it wasn't her car, and she was with Donnie at the time anyway...right? "Somebody PLEASEEE ALIBI MEEEE!"

That newer letter from her to her mother says she expects to be out and home in about 20 days. (http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89366&page=12 post #220). Because her public defender thinks she can get "drug offenders probation". How well will that work if the SA shows up with a signed affadavit stating that she was involved in the homicide of a child and the dispossal of the body?

If you look closely at the first few lines of this letter, it seems that Nay Nay had written something and erased it. I have increased the contrast and can make out a few words. Then I took that image and I used a heat image tool.

The words that I see are Misty, and, had, fight, about...not in that order. The first word on the last line starts with an s. Can anyone make anything else out?

2 points. Firstly, the letter from Naynay is not a statement about what happened. Rather it is her fishing for an alibi for that night. She was not describing what actually happened, she was talking about an event in general terms that she denied happening or being a part of. So there wouldn't be alot of detail in her letter to Donnie. We have not seen the supposed affadavit from Joe. But based on the fact that LE did in fact drain the pond a safe guess is going to be, true or not, it probably has alot more detail to it. They did after all choose to drain a pond. regardless of anyones views on whether LE lies to witnesses, they don't normally do a massive and expansive physical undertaking such as draining a pond for the purposes of bs'ing a witness or suspect. If they drained the pond they must have had some reasonably compelling reason for doing so. Probably something more compelling then a simple tip.

As far as how Naynay or anyone could know that Hayleigh took an Oxycontin, 2 possibilities. They know what was there, ie it was an Oxy party, or more chillingly, they know exactly what they gave the child in order to make her sleepy so they could party.

FPM, I noticed that there appeared to be faint writing in the background of that letter when I read it upstairs.

Initially, I thought that it was bleed through from writing on the reverse.

Then I realized the words were not backwards but rather were legible.

My questions are this because I haven't followed the NayNay letters closely.

1. How are these letters getting out of jail?

2. Who has had custody of these letters?

3. Did whoever had these letters try to use forensics to pull up any other writing she may have done (thus that is what we are seeing, when we can see the faint lettering behind the text of this letter)
If so, there is the possibility she is using a tablet to compose these letters and what we are seeing is the remnants (indentions) of the letter she wrote immediately prior to composing this letter to her Mother.

Yes I see the word Misty and fight. I would love to know what else she has written.

Messing around with it myself, in photoshop. I absolutely see.... Misty, and, fight....... and a few more words I'm trying to figure out. I haven't started on the second page. Man, don't you wish you could get your hands on a higher resolution copy of the letter? I think I'll move over to my DH's computer and look at it, he has a gigantopithecus monitor.
