All Kyron Horman Searches

LE has been searching various bodies of water for a good while now, I'm sure someone on here has the specifics. The Sheriff must have strong reasons for continued water searches and like many I'm assuming those reasons might be based on cell phone pings. I keep wondering just how solid a lead would have to be for the Sheriff/LE to continue searching waterways for this long. I admire LE for not giving up.

Kyron has been missing for 2 weeks today. This is gruesome I know, but I've been wondering that IF he was disposed of in a body of water, how well would his body have to have been secured to not have floated by now. IF he is in a body of water this long without detection then does that not lead towards probably premeditation versus an unplanned event.

Although I think they do have pings to and there must be strong reasons to search these waterways, I am wondering is they found soggy shoes or something odd that ties to water. If this were a tip, I would think it would be in a small isolated location KWIM? Could their be a suitcase missing from a set or weights? It is not like they are searching the wooded areas of this island, so it makes me wonder what's up with the water?

Pings + advice from the FBI + probably some criminal profiling info is leading them to look there first. I'm sure LE is being advised on how best to focus their investigation based on whatever clues they have so far and with the FBI's assistance and their resources, including knowledge and statistics of past cases. I don't think they're just randomly searching that particular body of water or the other places they might later focus on if they move on from there.

Anyone watching the live Fox 12 stream? Wow, it looks like they were searching a pond near the school. There were A LOT of news trucks in the school parking lot. Now the helicopter is moving somewhere else. Interesting stuff.
Thank you.What's going on now?

They did say it was being done because of a tip, back when they first started searching. Also, there has been several reports of them searching on foot and on horseback as well.

Minutes after the press conference ended, a dive team was seen searching a pond just down the street from the school.

Ok,we did learn they searched a pond.Does anyone know why and where they searched this pond?

Where are they searching now.

I really hope they have cadaver dogs out searching everywhere now.Are they going to make this a recovery search now? I feel they need to.

I think that, clearly, they are conducting a recovery search, but not sure whether limited to tips, as they said last week, or also using other types of information, just as statistics and distances to decide where to search.

I do think that they had a very good reason to start out on SI last week when they did, whether or not the info was linked to cell pings. I do think they had some sort of lead they must have deemed very credible and it has not panned out.

As far as trying to weigh down a body; it is hard to do. But a smaller body could easily get caught up in debris in the river or pond and take weeks to break free to surface.

Thanks guys and dolls for keeping us updated on the searches and sharing those very telling photos. What a hard job it must be to dig in like that and go full steam in searching. I hope Kyron is found real soon. xox

The photos are just shockingly sad, even the ones just showing an empty stretch of road, for some reason.

IF they are looking at Terri as responsible for Kyron's disappearance...

We learned after Susan Smith that studies have shown a pattern in mother's who killed their children. They are usually within 10 miles of their home. They are usually in water or wrapped in plastic. (Womb-like enviroment.)

I am not at all surprised they are looking in the water, I think it's a good idea.

There was just an episode of "The Investigators" on last night...someone else saw it, "Little Boy Lost." Another baby who was put in the water. Andrea Yates... Caylee Anthony... I know there is more that I am just not remembering. But those are the ones who stand out at the moment.

Statistically, that is where he is the most likely to be. So once they eliminated him wandering away (if they did) the water was the next logical place to look.

There wasn't a lot of actual search activity apparent Saturday, but there was some. A KOIN Local 6 crew did see a couple of search and rescue crews near the school. Law enforcement officers refused to divulge where they were headed or what they were doing. However, investigators did confirm that they were still searching for Kyron Horman.
