My notes on searches from the transcript of the LE press conference on Friday July 2. The transcript was a bit wordy, so I made these notes as a quick reference for myself. Thought I'd share it in case anyone else could use it.

- Approx 35 to 40 SAR groups from Oregon, Washington, California
- Additionally, Multnomah County's own SAR groups
- Approx 562 searchers within first five days
- Increased to approx 1,200 searchers

- Searchers searched target areas. Investigators/detectives developed leads, targetted areas based on those leads, then SAR expanded into those areas as well.

- Utilized aircraft with floor units to assist in the ground coverage.
- Standard searchers that worked the ground.
- Various K-9 units, up to 19 separate K-9 units. Then increased that. Both tracking and bloodhounds.

- SAR now downsized to a small contingency.

- There is a dive team.

- Some search areas came from tips and leads, including, for example, a children's play area with a stream nearby.

- Some areas were searched four separate times using multiple techniques. Dogs and searchers, dogs and/or aircraft, combinations of two/three sources.

Anybody know anything about this body they found? Banner has been up about 45 minutes but nothing further- http:// www.katu.com

I read it's about 45 miles from the school.... found by a boater...

It's likely to be the missing boater... especially since it didn't stay with Multnomah county. If they thought it was one of their cases, it wouldn't have been turned over.

I wonder if anyone has done a thorough search of any cemeteries in the area? I have heard of bodies being hidden either in a freshly dug grave that was already there (would not draw suspicion) or elsewhere in a graveyard. Especially a murder done by a family member, maybe burial in a cemetery would (in a twisted mind) equal a "decent burial". Just wondering.....

If this was the scenario, then supposedly TH (if she was involved) must have had an accomplice to dig and cover back a grave. JMO

a children's play area with a stream nearby?

Do you know any more on this or why, where and when it was searched?

Does anyone know if LE spent anytime checking secluded buildings in Roseburg? Most of TH's lifelong friends are in the Roseburg area. I imagine its highly rural with plenty of room to hide a little one.

So far all the searches seem to so close to Skyline...not read about targeted searches further afield...wonder why?

Are there any more searches for Kyron by anyone, anywhere today or ever.

Anyone know if any searches are going on? Anyone going door to door? Anything?

Bump. I am curious too 21Merc71.

Are there still active searches for Kyron? What about the Island? Still searching there?
