All Sauvie Island Searches

Re: Sauvie Island searches, DY didn’t give any further info other than the latest search focus is 11 acres east of the school. While Sauvie’s is east, it’s also north and she described SI as being northeast of the school just moments before she talks about latest search area. Forest Park is also east of the school (although I’ve always doubted FP as a dumping grounds).

More immediately to the east of the school, it appears there is private or public forest land with logging roads, heavy vegetation cover, and steep ravines draining into McCarthy Creek.

PDX wondered, just before the Roseburg thread closed (then reopened), if DY actually meant “west of the school.” IDK. Could be.

As to renewed searches, at the end of the Dixie Mt searches, MSCO posted this:

Thank you.Maybe she did mean Forrest Park.I'm just thinking out loud. Are there drainage pipes there?Near 11 acres?

We seem to OT (again) given Sauvie Island searches. It occurs to me we might need a new thread.
What do we "know" now that we didn't as of mid-November? ("new, solid evidence" ... there is "evidence" TH was in the 'search area' (WHEREVER that is)... Terri sent "hateful" emails to a number of people ... those emails were, evidently, not 'just griping'; they were enough to convince DY that TH had motive ... what else?)

There are other possible riffs on this theme. Guess I'm feeling the need to discuss, in a less 'segmented' but still organized way, what few tidbits of info have dripped out during the winter.

(respectfully snipped)

Unfortunately, drainage pipes just aren't needed in the PNW if you need to hide a body. A 1982 victim of the Green River Killer was just recently found by hikers ... I believe it was this last summer, 2010. Almost 30 years. Not buried, not stuffed in an old well or a drainage pipe. Hidden "in plain sight."

Maybe that's why we've had our share of serial killers. It's very, very easy to just "dump" a body and let nature take care of the remains. Sorry to be graphic. But it's true.

You know,Everywhere they have searched that Terri was apparantly at little Kyron hasn't been found.

As I look at the enlarged map of the Forest Park area, there appear to be a couple of "ponds" (lakes?) near the area. Are there many small bodies of water close by.

Also, when looking at the map, it is difficult to tell where the "boundaries" for the park might be. Do you or any of the other natives know the approximate area of the park? (It's east, west, north, south boundaries?)

I think they finally have the best ping info they are going to get and are working from that. If they don't find him, it does not mean he isn't there. But unless they do, and the location matches one of her pings, I'm not sure how they can connect her.

I hope they have the best ping technology info available. Sometimes I still hear of conflicting expert testimony in cases.

Possibly by her own statements if she was specific enough about where she was, or witness testimony. But you still need a body.

If Kyron is out there laid down on Skyline hill he will be covered with many inches of snow for the next few days. SI will have at least 4" or so.

Trying to be positive here, for one thing Kyron loved snow. Hopefully the snow will bring more clarity to the investigation and where LE is searching. And when the weather permits they will locate him right away. That is my prayer for Kyron and everyone who loves him. xox
