All Sauvie Island Searches

This is on one of the comments on this article.I don't know if it's reliable or not.I personally do not feel he is on Sauvie Island.I could be wrong.I feel he could possibly be in water drainage pipes.

They keep returning here because the day he was missing her cell phone was sending texts and she even tweeted from Sauvie. The FBI have her pinned on this, they just need to find the body

I realize that this comment came from Oregonlive, but I wanted to respond after watching Jim McIntyre on Dateline, Friday Nov. 12. Jim McIntyre is Portland's former Multnomah County Deputy Attorney and he was interviewed on Dateline about Terri's alibi of driving around the country roads for 90 minutes. He briefly discussed that cell phones are "handed off" in many crimes. TH's cell phone could have been handed off to someone who then drove to Sauvie Island. At this point, TH could have traveled someplace else to dispose of Kyron.

The few things we know are the receipt at 9:12 (I gess we know that), the witness sometime between 9:30 and 10:00 at the 2nd Fred Meyers and possibly logging into the gym around 11:20 and the computer/home about 1:20. And being seen at the school sometime after 8:00. That is all I think we "know."

We know from Gwen's statements on Dateline that she definitely was at the gym that day.

Also, we know that LE has...

...urged the public to recall whether they saw the Horman truck from about 10:15 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on either Northwest Springville Road, on Skyline Boulevard between Springville and Newberry Road, or along Old Germantown or Germantown Road. If so, they're asked to call investigators.

And also that LE...

...distributed a flier with photos of both women to residents along Northwest Old Germantown Road, seeking any tips on whether the two women (Terri and DeDe), or the Horman truck, were seen in the area between 9:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. on June 4.

One interesting thing I never noticed from that article is that the request for info about Terri being seen near DeDe's workplace is extended to 1:00. So that includes Terri possibly meeting DeDe on Terri's way home from the gym.

Hi Tiredblondy, I just called KOIN and the news web editor told me he has heard nothing today about ongoing searches nor has he seen anything on any competitive news source. He said if they are searching it hasn't been told to the media. I also asked him if there would be a news spot on Kyron tonight and he said he had heard of nothing. xox

That is interesting. We still haven't had confirmation that baby was at the school OR at the gym that day, afaicr.

It's just a comment, not anything verified from MCSO. Holy cow, there's lots of comments we could be posting, I thought we weren't supposed to post rumors?

This was also stated on Dateline, Nov. 12th during the time the program was discussing Terri's alibi and "handing off" phones. ( Still waiting for a transcript
to be posted.)

Back to SI, Ive been thinking about the 3 aspects of a crime needed to convince a jury of guilt, and how opportunity might be well related to SI. That is the relativity of the Korman truck to the island in a timely way in Kyron's going missing. Since LE has searched there so thoroughly I think it is fair to say they must have good info he was put there. IMO

So 3 points come to mind which possibly put this vehicle within a short driving distance of SI on the morning he disappeared:

1} At a LE Presser they asked the public to call if they had seen that truck on Skyline Rd between Springville and Newberry Rds at approx 10:30am on the 4th.

At that Presser they also said or inferred they did have witness account/s of it being seen there at that time. They were looking for back-up witnessing.

2} Terri stating she had driven on Hwy #30 that morning when she was out driving around.

3} Now a white truck like the Horman's was seen on the island that morning. In the news broadcast KOIN actually showed a still photo of the truck while they were giving the report. Unfortunately the live news reports are not transcripted. :banghead: I asked KOIN if I could get a copy of that broadcast as the 6pm show was not rebroadcast.

Just sayin' here for Sleuthing purposes I think 3 points definitely add up to something cookin' in the case about SI .:waitasec: IMO

It is just a relatively short drive from that part of Skyline Rd driving down to Hwy #30 and going over the SI bridge. It was that specific area of Skyline Rd they were asking about, and if the truck turned on Newberry it would only be about a 3 mile or so drive from Skyline down to the Hwy. That's close in my book.

LE did a search on Skyline Rd where it meets Germantown Rd which is in that area LE was referencing. They must have had a witness putting the truck on Skyline in that timeframe IMO.

"Does anyone know of any research that has been done regarding where a step mother might dispose of the body? I'm not finding any threads about it, and there's not a lot of information by googling... like we know that bio mothers will dispose of their child nearby, bio fathers far away... what about steps? I see all these searches, and I realize they are searching areas that fall within her timeline of events, and I also realize that the FBI was involved so they probably had a profiler... but does anyone know where I might find information on this topic?

Thank you for the link to a very interesting read but, it did not specifically address "typical places" where a step-parent might dispose or hide the body of a step-child.

I couldn't find much about step-mothers; however, noting the abstract's findings, one can kind of extrapolate a typical place based on the participant's method of murder, IMHO.

Lol...I'm not so good at extrapolating so, would you care to share with a lay-extrapolater where you might expect a step-mother to dispose of the body of their step-child? Near home, far away from home, in water, buried...?

Howdy, I doubt they've done searches today as the weather has turned darn nasty. I just drove over a bridge downtown Portland and out of the blue got hit by a wall of water that came down and sideways at me, most likely from the level above me. Scary !
