Surely, surely Richard Hornsby has enough sense (and dignity) to never even consider joining the defense team!

Richard has publicly expressed his disgust with JB so I will give RH the benefit of the doubt here.

Let's hope Hornsby has enough sense to straighten out the National Enquirer this week as well because to consider that Hornsby was actually in attendance at this "meeting" with Judge Perry as new member of defense counsel is just too painful to consider!

But defense attorney Richard Hornsby told the judge, "If the defense was able to get a hold of those documents, they would be able to see who searched that area and they'd be able to contact those people and find out how far they went in there."

The defense has not even thoroughly reviewed all 4,000 documents yet, and the Judge has not ruled on what info will be released to the Defense .... yet Ntl Enq has "subpoenas" being issued to TES volunteers! OMG!

Perry Grants Defense Team Big Victory In Casey Anthony Case

"Defense attorney Richard Hornsby told WESH 2 that raising reasonable doubt over who placed Caylee's remains in a wooded area along Suburban Drive is critical to Casey Anthony's defense.

Hornsby said that critical critical issue is at the heart of why Anthony's defense is entitled to Equusearch records.

"If they can't determine she placed the body there, they're going to have a hard time determining she killed the child," Hornsby said.

During a closed door meeting Monday, Judge Belvin Perry gave Jose Baez and the defense a big victory -- the right to determine which volunteers searched the closest to where Caylee's remains were later found.

"The bottom line is, we want to know what happened out there," Baez said.

Had Perry not given the defense this ability, Hornsby said any conviction would have likely been overturned.

"It would have come back on appeal, this is the heart of the defense," Hornsby said.

I think Baez is going to regret ever saying that! It will haunt him for a long time.
We already understand now - and at trial - we'll understand even more.

You know what I really don't want to see? That post trial yakkity yak - when the defense lawyer who loses comes on camera and says well I gave it my best effort - a difficult case when so much evidence pointed toward my clients guilt. If he says that with that goofy sheepish smile they get, I will personally fly down to Orlando to smack him on the side of the head in the same place HHJP bonked him yesterday.

Your probably right about the weekend! I'm always exhausted, but I'm not on strike. I've been researching obscure stuff.

I wish the wheels of justice moved faster sometimes, but I know there will be Justice for Caylee.

It's pretty rare, and what could there be in this order that would require it to be sealed?

Anyway, even if it was sealed, there would be an entry on the docket for the order.

I am thinking that there was no change to the prior Order and decision by HHJP. He is just enforcing it and stopping any shenanigans by convening at his offices.

Then that would explain why we haven't see a new order, and if the morning meeting was in-camera, we won't hear the details of that either.
