OK, I bit the bullet and listened to the Press Conference .... still don't know where the Presser was held though. We need one of the reporters to tell us.

PRESS CONFERENCE: Casey Attorneys On Conway's Resignation

8:10 CM said review of the TES documents will be at a "new location, probably here" (but we do not know where "here" was???

8:59 JB said they cannot talk about the details of their meeting with the Judge because it is "under seal"

11:20 CM said there will be no Hearing on this matter

WHY would the details of the meeting with Judge P. be sealed?????
What info is being sealed?
Who is being protected?

Isn't that the $64,000 question? Would the judge seal it if JB had to give up some of his own defense strategy (like the exact whys whats whos they were looking for in the 4000?) and that was included? What other reasons are there for sealing the details?

Or a reprimand...would that be sealed?

With Jose, Mason, and NeJame in the same room, I can only imagine the epithets and expletives were flying hot and heavy. I also imagine Judge Perry tossed in a few "Bear in minds" (or a variation thereof). HHBP seems like the type who doesn't air the dirty laundry - I can easily see him sealing this meeting when it really has no bearing on the trial, and would only serve as fodder for the public (darn it).

What I really meant to ask is WHY would the Judge's ORDER be sealed???

I don't think the judge's order was sealed because I don't think there was a new order. I think the judge just told the defense team to use the "old" order and to shut up! :twocents:

MESSAGE FROM TIM MILLER

Posted on 19. Aug, 2010 by smckinney in Featured Articles, Media, TES News

"I would like to personally thank all of the people who have expressed their kind wishes, both to me personally, and on all of the message boards, for the work that Texas EquuSearch does. The support has been overwhelming. We want to be able to continue to help families find their missing loved ones. Again, thank you for the loyalty to our cause of helping families in need. I want justice for Caylee, as well as all of the other people out there who need a voice. We will continue to try and be the voice for missing people.

At times, it may be difficult to focus on the task at hand with all of the distractions, but with the support of everyone, we are able to refocus our efforts for the families.

Please keep all of the missing people, their families and friends in your prayers. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Sincerely,

Tim Miller"

I'm wondering if JB/CM are gonna say that NOW the JUDGE is being delinquent of his duties and accuse HIM of keeping the defense from doing they're job to defend their client by not signing the motion "by the end of the day or the next" as they stated in their press interview....

"Casey Anthony's lawyers will be allowed to review and take notes on all Texas EquuSearch records created during the group's organized searches for her missing daughter in 2008, a judge ordered this week.

While Anthony's defense team can review the records, they cannot release the names of the searchers or any other information in the files to the public or the media, according to the order signed Thursday by Orange-Osceola Chief Judge Belvin Perry.

If Anthony's lawyers want any copies of the records, the documents will be tabbed and brought before the judge."

I am confused, the order was signed yesterday, but it is NOT appearing on the docket yet :waitasec:

Is it usually released immediately or how does Muzikman get it into doc.stop?

MM goes to the clerk's office and then scans the docs and uploads to docstock. I'm not sure he would be able to get it, if it's not on the docket though :waitasec:

Then again, if it is anywhere out there - YOU will find it!

Sorry for quoting myself...but I KNEW the order was going to come thru today because I commented on it's not being signed yet....:blushing:

I don't get it. Why are the local news groups reporting this as something new? This is exactly what the judge ordered weeks ago with the possible addition of change of locations for the review. Did I miss something? I can understand Baez and Cheney trying to make it sound like a new victory for them, but why is the media doing it?? Maybe I fell down the rabbit hole into a new reality?
And a question--Judge P had ordered that the review be completed by Aug 25. Does that date still stand?

I'm not sure. Does it have to do with the defense having access to ALL (400) files versus solely the 32 files of the searchers who were known to go to Suburban Drive?

Wait, why am I saying 400 files? There are more files than that I think but I know MN has said that 32 files have been available all along but nobody from the defense came to his office to look them over.

It is 4000 files and I guess the real difference is no names released to the public, which is what is actually important.
I picture HHJP needed a couple of days to stop fuming about the antics surrounding these files to calm down enough to write this order.

Okay, I bite...so what's new?
A new Judge signing the same Order?..
wait..will it be someplace other than NeJames office...
I hope there will be other people in the room with JB and CM..like a Monitor and an Armed Guard in case the 2 of them become unruly and IMO verbally abusive like they were at NeJames office.

I wish there were more details about the notes they can take. In the last order IIRC they were supposed to be approved or something, weren't they? Or am I all mixed up?
