That has to be it. It just sounds better for them to say it in a way that for them tried to cast doubt. We all know the truth though.

You all are wonderful here. Thanks for calming me down from that bit of drama. I don't know how Casey has not cracked, I got rattled from one stupid phone call and I was telling the TRUTH!! yikes.

This is for you fla*mom

The reporter asked him his name at the end of the interview..He did not say his name was Joe Jordan but did give his name.

Check out TWA's post#153 on page 7 in the "120 TES search areas cleared" thread,

http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74995&page=7

Thanks for the link and did hear at end of other video finally that he stated his name!

Watching both videos, however, certainly explains why Baez did not latch onto this guy....big discrepancies about where he searched, how often, and when between the two "interviews" he gave....

And describing Caylee as the same age as his nephew but referring to her as a 100 lb child??? :waitasec:

I can make a guess of how the prosecutors and Mr. Nejame feel about the defense spin....something like the way Richard was polite to her during the interview but after , spoke candidly.

Richard Hornsby "Let's face it...everybody does think that Dominic Casey found the body that day. "

"Reconstruction based on revisionist history based on what she learned later. It is very clear that she does not have a strong grasp of the chronological and factual information in this case"

"Casey is guilty and that is what the evidence is always going to come back to" , Mr. Hornsby said.
She is never going to take the stand.
"Basically , Dominic was a rookie and that explains why his e mails sound so childish, not in touch with reality," that is what we gleamed from the interview. "Dominic Casey was a rookie...that's about it", Mr. Hornsby chuckled and closed the show.

Hi Fla*Mom

Fla*Mom and I know each other from another (non-crime) forum. Last night she posted there that the defense called her. I told her there is a wonderful website, with awesome people she should check out someday. Turns out she was already a lurking member here!! Small, small world.

Would it not be too funny if the touch DNA that JB has requested comes back with a match to Dominic Casey's DNA. That would definately be a OOPS on the defense part.

  • #1,307
Does this not look a little desperate on defense's part to be looking for people to say that they could not find the body when they were searching at the school or just in the general area but not that specific spot? How would this prove the Caylee's body was not there when forensics tends to prove she was? Is this it for them, then? This is all they have???? If this is it, the only one who should be worrying is KC. jmo

If only! lol

I only hope that doesn't fall into the "too good to be true" category. Talk about a bombshell!

If I don't say too much after this all I have to say that is thank you to the wonderful people here you are all so kind and knowledgeable and looking out for people who are members here.

I hope this is okay to say and if it not please remove with my permisson ahead of time. Tim Miller and Mark Nejame are top notch and I completely understand why they fought as hard as they did for the searchers. They knew what would be comming down the pike for them. God bless them in thier efforts. I would sign up again, search again, ect.

I will continue to post just be very mindful of what I say.

I'm just so glad MN is exposing all of JB's cacamaloo stories. I love how he has asked for either court costs or insisted that the money used to purchase copies was shown to be obtained ethically in various motions.

The fact that MN would allow the attorney of her parents the courtesy of viewing the documents before the defendant's supposed lead attorney (even if they are down the hall from each other), most likely because he knew JB would ignore them - indicates just how much he thinks JB is worth. Nice paper trail MN.

Apparently JB thinks the public has a high tolerance for being lied to - a risky proposition in an age of media misrepresentation and political prevarication. Today's citizens and prospective jurors are likely to have little patience for stuff like that - the defendant herself has pretty much used up a lifetime's quota of falsehoods just on this one issue - if her legal team looks as deceitful as she does, it will not bode well.

The defense better hope for jurors of lesser good old fashioned common sense than our CeCy Beans!!! She is right, if they condescend to the jury the way they do to the media , it will not bode well.

Tim Miller is going to make one compelling witness and when he gets on the stand with his ground and photos from the chopper that show the area under water, he will be believed.

Plants growing through her little tiny skeleton ....well that certainly is going to be compelling.

The defense can try what they will.....
TES will emerge the way they came to Florida, with honor.

I completely understand!

Thank you for your generous heart and dedication to finding justice for Caylee. Kentjbkent gave you some excellent advice. I have nothing to add, except to emphasize a couple of points:

Try not to worry about any other call that the defense indicated "MIGHT" happen. They cannot contact you again until Judge Perry gives them permission. IMO, that permission is not going to come easily. They are going to have to meet stringent criteria in re. each searcher they tabbed before he approves any more contact. I can certainly understand your anxiety.....I just hate to see you project too far and further upset yourself unnecessarily over something that may never happen.

You do not need to feel intimidated by these defense attorneys. Don't let them fool you - YOU are the one with the power. YOU are under NO court order and everything you choose to say is at your own discretion.

I think it is wise to use discretion about what to include while posting right now. Even if you don't want to post much, please feel free to keep reading. We can still talk to you and hopefully some things said here will help make you feel more comfortable.

First I want to say thanks for those who searched.
Second Do Not worry!!! Even if the defense calls you as a witness to say you didn't find the body so it must have been put there after... Does not mean you are helping the defense, what it does show is that the defense is desperate and have no defense. Why are they trying to prove that the body was put there after she was in jail? this is what they call a LONGGGGGGGGGG shot. The photos taken of the area show the extreme over growth in that area and even professionals and LE have missed bodies that could have been a few feet away. So the fact that volunteers didn't find the body proves nothing except desperation on the defense part.
Why are they not trying to prove why Casey's car smells of death??? Oh wait they are trying to say thats "junk science" and that it was a pizza, even though plenty of professionals who have smelled the smell before including the grandparents say it was the smell of death.
Why are they not trying to prove who Casey really gave Caylee to, since Zanny can't be found? Oh wait cause thats a lie...
See my point? Even if they call you as a witness, to say you searched the area and didn't find Caylee it means nothing in the whole picture. Casey killed Caylee, dumped her in the woods down the road from the house, no one found her til Kronk did in December because it was over grown and under water. that is logical, what the defense is trying to pull is not logical so Don't worry.

Casey Anthony's defense attorneys say they have new witnesses who may have searched the area where Caylee's remains were eventually found. They say it could prove someone other than Casey killed Caylee.

They're sorting through thousands of pages of documents belonging to the search group Texas EquuSearch.

"In about 2.5 hours, we discovered over 50 new witnesses who all the records said had not been on Suburban Drive. [And they] have just told us over the phone that they were," said Cheney Mason, Anthony attorney.
One of those witnesses could be key to proving the defense’s theory that Caylee's body was dumped a quarter of a mile from her home after her mother was arrested -- meaning someone else killed the toddler.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is exactly what I am referring to as manipulation throught the media by a defense team member (Mason is SO transparent....sheesh!)

I have not viewed any TES documents obviously, but I can take a pretty educated guess that at the time they were created, they were NOT notated as such:

Searched Airport Rd area.

Did not search Suburban Drive.

Did not search Blanchard Park.

So I seriously doubt that Mason's statement that "all the records said had not been on Suburban Drive" is a TRUE statement.

The records only reflected the particular area that a searcher was assigned to AS A VOLUNTEER FOR TES

OK I have stayed quite as long as I can! LOL! Got to add my two cents here!!

I searched three day during the last search for Caylee. I was a team leader two of those days and I can say without a doubt I could not take anyone back to where me and my team searched with the exception of Blanchard Park. (I don't know how to get there!) And then I do not know the names of the roads, streets, etc. of any of the searches I was on. As a Team Leader I was given a sheet of paper with the names and info of my team members and on the top was the address of the location we were to search. I was also given a map printed on a sheet of paper with the area marked off. At no time did my team read the sheet or directions there was no need to. It was folded and put into my pocket or fanny pack because I had to turn it in after the search. During the three days I sometimes drove my car with searchers riding with me other times I rode with someone else or in a van. I never had to figure out where we were going because we all followed the leader in a caravan. I do know without a doubt I never searched on Suburban Drive because I really wanted to but was not assigned that area. I did think about going there on my own on my way home that Monday late afternoon and wish now I had so I'd be another voice to prove "it was flooded"! After each search I was debriefed and turned in my papers. I feel sure these are the papers they are going through because the applications searchers filled out I don't think would have the areas they searched listed, not 100% on that.

Like someone else said teams were made of of 10-15 people so I'm sure there were a number of teams searching different areas of the Suburban drive area but not where Caylee was found. Baze and Chaney are on a fishing expedition nothing more nothing less. Also if the sheets are marked
"all the records said had not been on Suburban Drive" it could be because someone marked them when first going through the records looking for searchers who were on Suburban Drive when they pulled out the 32 who may have come close to Caylee but not exactly where she was due to the area being flooded.

OK I'll go back to reading now. And no I have not gotten a phone call. They would be crazy to call me! For all of you who have or will hang tough you all did and outstanding job trying to bring that special little girl home. We thank you!

Indeed!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPdDRIIPc1g

Just because folks searched here and didn't find her means nothing, they are not Navy Seals, they are your average folks just trying to look. Mark says seasoned LE officers could easily miss something in this dense , dense area. It happens all the time. It doesn't matter how many people came there.

Check it out. One cannot get past the information Mark points out that where the car was at Amscot was surrounded by gas stations. She abandoned that car for a reason, and it wasn't due to not finding a local gas station. "There was a distinct odor in that car, I believe something was placed in the back of that car. I am hoping it is not, but then again, once you smell that smell, and you guys know this, you NEVER forget that smell"! George Anthony told the federal agents.

God bless all of you who searched!!

The jury wont have fallen off the turnip truck on their way in to the courthouse.

That sentence really hit my funny bone! "Turnip truck" I haven't heard that expression in a long time, since I was a kid. LOL.

This is the first move by the defense that I have not freaked out about...I see how this all goes. The defense has nothing. It has never been more clear to me how guilty Casey is of the murder and disposal of her daughter Caylee.

Great points brought up by WSers: they keep saying "searchers" and not specifically "TES" searchers. They say searchers "were on Surburban" and not specifically at the "remains spot." That TM already announced in court there was a witness and proof that Casey was not the one to dispose of Caylee. And, disposal isn't the same as showing ICA is innocent of murdering Cayee.

JB tried that in court too, the dramatic: (Perry Mason moment) "We have proof ICA is innocent!" Yeah, this ride has rode around and a'round and around again many times. At this point I realize they will continue to lie, twist and manipulate truth, I seem to have made peace with that-I want for no more delays so that we can get to the court part, trial part. JB and his "team" have become background noise for me while I await Caylee's day in court.

I have become so convinced that the State has evidence of how cruel Casey was to Caylee, that I am a little afraid of finding out the details. Casey saying "make him stop" was only the beginning, I can see how professional the SA has been. This is such a mismatch of skill and ability, and it shows in how the prosecution has handled this case vs. the defense and their circus.

Dragging this out has only proved ICA's guilt. At this late date, with her life on the line, ICA has yet to come forward with any other story but "Zanny" or any explanation for having to "protect" her family by keeping back information.

Like other posters have said, whatever the defense comes up with, Casey has to be willing to go along with it-. I think the RK boat has passed, I would be blown away if they really tried to pin it on JG or any of the "friends." And, George? Maybe they will try to pin it on him but WSers have given many reasons why that would backfire/not work.

Maybe after the trial it will be very obvious that Casey got waay more of a defense than was needed.

AND: To those that did search for Caylee, thank you. I think the defense will be shown for what they are after this case is over. It will come out that JB was willing to go after people who were just searching for a missing girl-a little girl her family never bothered to look for. JB will be known but known for being a terrible person. Even people falling off of a turnip truck will see what he did by accusing these good people, what goes around...comes around. The defense is supposed to do what they can to get their client free, but I think what they have done with TES will be shown to have gone too far. Here's hoping!

FlaMom, I Stand and Applaud YOU! Hold your head HIGH. Keep a smile on your face and know in your heart, Caylee thanks you for trying to find her, when her entire family did nothing.

Anyone here at WS who volunteered to helped find Caylee… I Stand and Applaud You as well.

I can't remember who it was or what thread it was in, but I remember this post by a passionate TES searcher who said, "Call me to the stand, Mr. Baez! Just call me to the stand!" (It was way better than that, but that's my crappy synopsis). This person was basically saying they had no problem getting up there and talking about the search for Caylee if asked. It brought tears to my eyes, and I applaud every one of you for such courage, tenacity, and love for Caylee.

Hold your heads up high, and don't let any of the defense bring you down or make you feel like that what you did for Caylee had no worth. I only wish I could have been out there with you! I hope this TES fishing expedition turns out to be the biggest mistake Baez has ever made in this case!

Granny L, maybe you were my team leader....LOL....i just got my phone call.....a few simple questions.....same thing.....I just told them that they would have to ask my team leader, as I hadn't a clue as to where I searched.....I am not from that area....I just loaded up and headed out! then they wanted to know my team leaders name......I could not remember it.....I should have said "why, that would be GRANNY L" lol.....they may call back with more questions for me......

Chiquita, your one statement here (as well as the rest of your post).. sums it up PERFECTLY for me. All the defense moves at this late point.. have become background noise for me. JB and his "team"...are nothing more than politicians in this mess. The current statements regarding 50 new searchers.. could mean anything from.. 50 folks they have called so far.. all used the word "Suburban" in their answer.. to.. "we found 50 records in the 4000 that all have the letter s.. in their name.. so that proves they should be under suspicion.

It's just more of the same ole "we got nothing" shuck and jive... under a new name.

Again.. excellent post! thank you :)

Never in any situation could you have better, more diligent, invested, serious people who have your back than Tim Miller, Mark Nejame and the Honorable Judge Belvin Perry Jr., not to mention the protections afforded to you by the United States of America and Florida constitutions.

Florida mom, they have got you covered!!!
If, as and when the judge allows a second phone call, it will again be very specific and limited.

No one is going to hurt you or harass you or change your life. Not on their watch. I pity the fool who would try. In the last hearing, as he has before, very calmly Judge Perry said, "I would NOT want to be caught breaking the rules. That is all I am going to tell you." Lions don't need to roar.

If I were you, I'd feel wrapped in protective armor, if and when you do pick up that phone, just KNOW who is with you. THE BIG DOGS!!!
I bet there are local lawyers who will help you for free with this.

"He is smart, doesn't suffer fools lightly and will not put up with any antics", Mark Nejame described judge Perry.

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9GpgSyGJQo[/ame]

Richard Hornsy: "I couldn't imagine a worse combination of a judge presiding over your case if you had a client facing the ultimate death penalty. Judge Perry values his time and takes it personally if you waste his time. He ( Jose Basez) went from the most defense friendly judge, to the judge the prosecutors want most of the time."
