All Things Britney Spears Part 3

What is DRISP? I agree. The kids aren't with Britney that much now and are so small, but I sometimes wonder if kids of the very wealthy who have nannies suffer more attachment problems when they lose the caregivers that are around most of the time.

Death Row Inmate Scott Peterson... sorry.

I heard she blew through a red light today with the kids and court appointed babysitter in the car. I guess it was a very busy intersection and people could be heard screaming. This is a different article than the one I read but it says most of the same stuff.
http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1573941/20071109/spears_britney.jhtml

The people screaming were paps, who had gone out into the intersection, blocking off traffic and flashing their cameras into Britney's face. I can almost see her driving off anyway, to get away from that, they were creating a public hazard STANDING IN THE THRUWAY BLOCKING TRAFFIC to photograph her. I think TMZ has the footage, brb.

ETA: Watch the video attached to this article at TMZ. The paps weren't really "screaming" either, just yelling. I don't blame Britney this time....for a change.

Yaa, but some times I wonder if it's bonding or bondage. Ya know? She takes them out in these crazy situations where they are scared and surrounded by tons of strangers shouting and with cameras, in the car, etc., and she does get them out of it eventually, but they aren't old enough to understand SHE put them in that position in the first place. Same with at her home, while the counselor said they seemed bonded, she also said there was little interaction on two of the visits between the kid's and Britney and it was all about what Britney wanted to do for herself.

The counselor is a pro and I will take her word for it that there is sufficient bonding for kids towards mom in Britney's situation. It's extremely rare (not unheard of, I know - I'm familiar with attachment disorder, though mosts cases I know of are kids who were raised in orphanages) for a kid whose basic needs are met not to bond to its mother.

An infant/child/toddler doesn't have any idea if the mother it is bonding with is a "good" mother or a "bad" mother - they just know she's mommy and they want her. I don't think it's too hard to tell if kids the age of Britney's kids are attached to her or not.

Case workers I know tell me that almost without fail when they take young kids away from their abusive parents, the kids want like hell to go back to those parent - no matter the abuse the suffered. They're bonded - it's just sad for them that they are bonded to someone who is hurting them.

Britney is obviously struggling with the rigors of being a Mom - she's selfish and unscheduled and at a loss to put together the sort of basic routine that most successful mothers know to be best for young children. But those kids don't know that. They just know she's Mommy.

That's the impression I came away with after watching that, too.

The paps also told her that the light was red....
I agree they're annoying but they did try to alert her. :o

...but she was inside the car. They were standing feet away. I don't think she heard them.

Not being argumentative, but it was clearly a red light. Her case worker (?) in the car should have been less busy hiding and more busy helping Brit to keep an idea on the road.
That's just my opinion. :)

Oh, I'm not arguing either. I'm just saying how I saw it. I think the papparazzi created some confusion and they were standing out in the road...

...it doesn't matter how I interpret it, though. It's over with and I'm glad that everyone is alright. I'm sure that Kevin Federline's attorneys will be addressing this in court.

Me too. I saw Brit's kids sleeping in the back and her driving made me a tad nervous, even tho I knew when I was watching it that nothing horrible was going to happen.

There's been so many issues about Britney and her driving,I just can't understand why she just doesn't get a limo and driver service.

Do any of you ever wonder what made Britney snap? It's very obvious when I watch interviews of her from the 'old' days that she was healthy & normal.. I remember when she got preg. with her first son she was on cloud 9...it seems like after he was born it all went downhill from there. I just wonder what it was that made her snap & turn into this very mentally ill person?

I do. Your telling me that for the immediate while the frenzy is on going you would think she could curtail her need to drive out and about for those times when the boys are with her.. have a professional do it at that moment and leave the driving to when they are not in the car. There was no pressing need for her to be out at that hour so why take the risk...

I think 2 rapid pregnancies coupled with the stresses of motherhood, divorce and drug use to cope would do it.

I wonder this all the time about all wealthy folks who get popped for DUIs, especially multiple times. I hate driving and if I had the means, I would never drive again. But some people like to drive, so who knows.

IMO, I think Britney started losing it when she and Justin Timberlake broke up.

*THAT* I will unabashedly grant you, and I've said similar before when she went out chandelier shopping leaving the kids in the car with a sitter! (ETA: Recently, during one of her very few visitations, at that!) But, I think it would have happened in broad daylight. Had she waited for the light to change, traffic would have been held up, as paps sat there taking their time, going through roll after roll of film, not caring they were holding up traffic on a big street, and the light would have gone red again with Britney still at the intersection and traffic backing up behind her. (Looks like a pretty big throughway to me.) You've seen how they did in a store parking lot, right? There's a video on YouTube in which a woman berates the paps for what they are doing, filmed a week or so before this. Yes, she feeds them, she desperately needs attention. But, the paps go *WAY WAY* too far when they impede traffic and affect the safety of many others, don't you agree? Paps r scum!

Concerning the Paps and her outrageous behavior... she brings it on herself... knowingly... willingly...

It's a known fact. She actually CALLS the paps ahead of time to let them know where she'll be so they will show up. Of COURSE she drives herself... she wants to be SEEN, not hidden away in some dark, tinted glass limo. Of COURSE she has to go to Starbucks every hour and shop for chandeliers and check into expensive hotels for a couple of hours. That's the ONLY way she's going to "be somebody important" and stay in the public's eye.

But again, what the paps were doing would have resulted in the police writing them a ticket for impeding traffic had they come upon the scene. They are going *WAY* too far now, and are definitely a public nuisance/hazard, have been for some time. It's just really being highlighted with the Britney dramaplay. :(
