a cadillac escalade charged to her am/ex card!....just boggles my mind..
Well, when you have $700,000 of income every month....it is just a little bit of money. No more than a normal shopping trip if you compared the percentages of the expense per income ratio.

I hope she comes out of the hospital with her meds working and she can mend her image and her life. Those little boys need her. I know a lot here don't think she has talent. I do and I miss seeing her all cute and leading a great life. I hate to see anyone not living up to their potential.:( I hate to see anyone sick. I know that mental illness is a hard and on going sickness to treat. I wish her and her boys the best. Let's all pray that this is the beginning of the road to recovery for her. I know she can do it because many here on WS have told us their life stories and how they have gone on to recover and live good lives.

No kidding! Peanuts to her! These car dealers must be rubbing their hands when they see her coming.

I think she's got a lot of talent. I can't say that I like some of her recent songs but that's the way they want her to sound. I think she's a terrific dancer!

CONFIRMED - She's been extended for 14 days!:woohoo:

Britney Spears's hospitalization has been extended to an additional 14-day hold, a source exclusively confirms to PEOPLE.

.... However, it's possible the singer could be out earlier if she legally demands to be released or her doctor deems her well enough for outpatient treatment.

I do too. She was so cute before she got all strange acting and depressed. :( I guess the last time I thought she was great in was the Toxic MTV special. She was so darling then.

I read that article. I thought it sounded wishy-washy. I think the article was a stab in the dark. I don't think they know any more information than the rest of us. I do hope she stays. She needs help. Bless her heart. :(

Hopefully she'll be so doped up , she won't care where she is right now...give the meds some time to work.

Could be a calculated guess but I've always thought that People was one of the more credible sources. I dunno. I guess I'm just so desperate for her to get help.

Doesn't it take a long time for them to really work? I know that you can stop the manic part...but what about the other depression part? Someone here said that the meds make you sleepy. Maybe she can sleep her way though it for a while.

I am sure they are. They used to be one of her biggest supporters. I think most people hate to see her in this state. It is really sad. :(

I think she can legaly demand to be discharged.......... and they can legaly knock her back.

Does anyone know the approximate time it takes for meds to kick in? I've heard it can take awhile, because the doctor might have to try different meds for the best results. I wish we knew more about the brain, It seems to be such an inexact science.

Well that only means that she's got a right to legal representation. They still must convince a judge that its in her best interest to be released.

I am not a nurse nor a doctor but from my understanding my first cousin is a doctor out in SF,CA said that it normaly takes a good month or two for the medications to take full effect on a persone who has clincial depression and/or bipolar disorders. One can start feeling better within a month but as I posted the full effects of the medication can take up to two months and there can still be times that a person may need ajustments to the meds or a doctor may have to try a new medication on a person, because as we all know everyone's body chemistry is different, and what works for one may not work for another.

I'm just SO happy that Britney's father is in charge and kicking butt. I just want to know what took him so long??? Next he needs to see about Jamie Lynn, once Brit's issues are on the mend.

I think lithium can work fairly quickly, but antidepressants might take a week or two. Antipsychotics can begin regulating her sleep and calming her down immediately.

I don't know what she's on, though.

Tnx for the info WC. That's about what I thought. I hope Brittany gets the help she needs before she leaves the hospital.
