Ok, back to Brit-Brit: So... if the restraining order doesn't stay in place, I guess we may be seeing Svengali Lutfi back in her life by the end of the month. :(

It could happen. Depending on what happens with the conservatorship. If the court keeps the conservatorship in place and expands it to include who Brit is allowed to be in the company of, the conservator could ask the judge to include Osama on that list of people who must stay away. I doubt that the judge would make it a permanent order, but I believe the longer he can keep them separated the better.

I think it's going to be tough for the family to keep the conservatorship. It really is a shame, they seem to really want to help her. I hope that they are exploring all the options right now.

  • #264
I'm hoping that it's such a high profile case that the judge might extend co-conservatorship because Britney could die from an overdose or cause great injury driving her car. No judge all the way down to the doctor and social worker would want that kind of publicity attached to their name. I agree that it is going to be hard for the parents to maintain conservatorship for any length of time.

The reporter who wrote the article for Rolling Stone had this to say after a six-week, indepth investigation about Brit:

"She is not a good girl. She is not America's sweetheart. She is an inbred swamp thing who chain-smokes, doesn't do her nails, tells reporters to 'eat it, snort it, lick it, f--k it' and screams at people who want pictures for their little sisters…She is not ashamed of her new persona—she wants us to know what we did to her."

It's really fantastic that the magazine who published a teenage Britney in Lolita poses on their cover doesn't seem to acknowledge any responsibility in helping to create the mess she is today. They might hate her and think she is inbred trash, but yet 12 years later they still use her to sell more issues.

Brit's Family to Wasser: Come Back

TMZ has learned disso queen Laura Wasser paid a secret visit at the UCLA psych ward last Tuesday, and the family wants Laura back as Brit's custody attorney.

Wasser, who repped Brit in the divorce, quit the case -- we're told because Britney wouldn't listen to her. But sources say Jamie and Lynne want her back.

Sam Has NOT Been Served

TMZ has confirmed that Sam Lutfi has not been served with the restraining order sought by Brit's parents-- yet.

If he comes in contact with Britney, it technically wouldn't violate the restraining order issued against him -- since he hasn't officially been given notice.

what a pig's ear all this mess is. :(

I am not getting this either??

Why do they want a custody attorney?? They need to be focusing on her getting better not worrying about custody IMO.
The boys are safe and the custody thing can be figured out later when she is well.
MasterJ I totally agree with you about Rolling Stone.

Because that's the ONE thing Britney cares about - getting to visit with her kid's again. I don't think there is any illusion that she will get even shared custody in the near future, but visitation in a therapeutic setting.

OK, now I have had it. I do not have the money or influence that perhaps her folks do, I don't have people. But I would hire ex CIA type people to somehow whisk her away without the press knowing and hide her away, far from LA, some secret island perhaps. I know, I read a lot of novels where this happens - but nothing else seems to be working. She could have medical personnel treat, feed, nourish physically and mentally. Parents would not be able to visit lest she be found but would have updates of her condition. Not legal perhaps but maybe effective???

not legal perhaps but effective???? I don't think that it would be legal at all. It would be a kidnapping and that would make them criminals. Britney is not their only child. There are 2 others. My heart goes out to Britney and her family. However, by law, she is an adult and her parents' hands are somewhat tied....unfortunately.

I thinkk they have hired new people and some of the old to try to help reassure her that if she gets help things can work out. The other custody attorneys she had would request hearings when they knew Brit wasn't capable of appearing. If they hire Wasser back then they can deal with this when she is well. With the other attorney's it was an every other week fiasco. They need to find Sam Lufti and serve him immediately. They need to surround her house with body guards that work for the family. They need to hire her a driver and get rid of the old cars. Get something new like a stretch limo that are a dime a dozen in LA, with dark glass. They need to start putting up the fences around her until she is well again..and that could take months if not longer. She needs someone with her 24 / 7 that has her best interest at heart. A personal assist and a nurse. This family needs to back off everyone who has ever been a bad influence in her life. JMHO

There has to be some fancy private "sanatarium" they can ship her off to. I'm just baffled as to how they can not find enough reason to hold her for the full 14 days.It just wasn't that difficult when I worked in psych in California, unless you aren't really crazy. Again I believe its because of who she is.
Maybe somebody who has been in the system can help me on this, has it changed? After the 72 hour hold,if a patient refused to sign in voluntarily, they had a 14 day hold hearing. They would need two psyciatrists to evaluate the patient as to their condition,as well as feedback from staff in the hospital. I was an Occupational Therapist. Part of my job was to run small groups with the patients in the ICU part of the psych hospital. You could gage where someone was at ,by how they performed or did not perform tasks. How was their concentration, how did they follow directions, how do they interact with others in the group, did they refuse to participate at all. Believe me when you are acutly mentally ill,you have difficulty doing the smallest of things. Not everyone says they are going to hurt themselves or others, but the catch is the gravely disabled. Can they take care of themselves? I suspect that Brittany is being treated differently because of who she is,period.

Statement just released from Mr. Streisand to TMZ:

"At the request of Britney Spears, Adam Streisand, a Partner at Loeb & Loeb LLP, met with her yesterday to discuss her legal rights in connection with the conservatorship over her person and estate. Following that meeting, Mr. Streisand learned that the court had issued orders that prevent Ms. Spears from retaining counsel of her own choosing, and on that basis, Mr.Streisand has decided he will not represent her at this time."

I hope Lufti is charged for practicing medicine without a license! The below is from: http://perezhilton.com/2008-02-07-hes-not-a-doctor

Osama Lutfi has hired a publicist so that people can find out the truth about him. Uh huh.
His new mouthpiece is a fella named Michael Sands, who up until this week - when he was fired - was the spokesperson for Kevin Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan.
Well, Sands held a press conference on behalf of Lutfi Thursday morning and he talked a lot of 🤬🤬🤬🤬.
However, one of the most alarming things he said was the following:
"Sam has been providing prescription medication, cocktails is what its called for Britney's medical issues. Sometimes the medication really doesn't work and you have to change it and you see outrageous behavior displayed in public."
He should not have been giving her ANY cocktails, alcoholic or medicinal.
Britney Spears needs to be under the constant supervision of DOCTORS and trained medical professionals!
Thankfully, her parents have a restraining order against Lutfi.
Stay away, Osama!
