All Things Dick Cheney

Look again at the incident report. It is a 6 and not a 5. The copy quality is bad.
Course we may see 2 different things.
Buzz commented he wonderd when the report was made out. We know the local LE did not get to talk to them until the next day so the time may be based on someone guestimating.

Okay, I was going to stay out of this thread, right?! And I'm not one to normally jump to negative speculation until facts are known, BUT! :truce:

IMO, looking at the 5 or 6 on that report, it doesn't look like a legitimate, unaltered 5 OR 6 to me. In the space directly to the left, where the date of the accident is listed, if you compare the 6 in "2/11/2006" they don't appear to match. So, then I went on the hunt for a typed 5. If you look at actually both the 5 and 6 under Cheney's age, (65), it just doesn't look to me to match either the typed 5 or 6.

Is it my eyesight or ? Is it time for DD to go nite-nite because her eyes are playing tricks on her?

But, again, I go back to the investigator marked the box for "sunny." There are boxes for "dusk" and "dark," and those were not marked. Sunny was.

OK Now I can't tell what it is either. Thanks alot. lol
I agree it is similar to both but not quite either.

I noticed the witness on the report is the Elizabeth lady that called the press. She told the AP the exact same story that Cheneys people were pushing. Then she went on to say when she saw the ambulance she immediately thought about Chaney having heart trouble. Tell me why, if she had seen this guy shot, she would think the ambulance is for Cheney?

I notice Ms. Anderson (or whatever her name was) was listed as a witness, but I didn't take that as a witness to the actual shooting. Rather, I didn't take it that she was actually out in the fields with them, hunting. But, an assumption on my part, that she was at the club house or camp or what have you. And she saw the ambulance moving, etc. If that were the case, I too would believe it would be for Cheney (due to his known health issues.) But, that is just my own speculation, maybe she hunts with them, I dunno!

She was allegedly sitting in one of the vehicles watching them hunt, when it happened.

Totally laughing at that one, Buzz. Thanks, I needed to end my evening on a humorous note.

Good nite all, it's been fun. I DO expect y'all to have it figured out by tomorrow morning when I check back in!

Oops I wrote Elizabeth and her name was Katherine.

from fox article:

"Earlier this week, the White House and Katharine Armstrong, the owner of the ranch and an eyewitness to the accident, implied that Whittington did not follow hunting protocol because he didn't announce to Cheney and the other hunter that he had returned from retrieving his kill. On Wednesday, the vice president made clear that Whittington wasn't responsible for being hit"

It calls her an eyewitness.

We have a cunundrum with what she stated, I believe. Somehow, in the back of the suspicious part of my brain, I can just see the scenario of confusion, the OMG's, what should we say, after Mr. W was on the way to the hospital. Can't you just hear it?

I wonder how the SS got the LE to back down on wanting to tt Cheney that evening? I think they override LE, but looks like maybe the sheriffs office tried to get into Cheney anyway and were turned away! I don't know on that.

But with everything else we've discovered it doesn't all add up. Something's a bit rotton in Denmark! One little mis statement and you kinow how it goes, it's easier for the next one and then the next. After all they were trying to protect the integrity of our buckshot shootin VP.

I could be totally wrong, but don't think so. I've read and heard too much on this subject.

There should always be an ambulance with immediate access to Cheney. (Not just because of his own health conditions, but protocol.)

And I thought it was reported (for whatever that is worth) that it was Cheney's ambulance that was used to transport Mr. W.

Don't know!

Oh,my, I must have had a senior moment. I forgot that Cheney travels with his own ambulance and medical team.

Just curious, does the American taxpayer pay for his hunting trips to Texas, too?

In his interview on TV today with Brett Hume, he was definately downsizing this part of his team. He said he had a physician's assistant on the trip with him.

IMO, they had a pow wow and decided a witness to the accident was needed. If doesn't look good if the guy dies and Cheney is the only one who knows what happened. Poof Ms. Armstrong becomes a witness. She was likely in the general area but did not see the shooting. Of course that is speculating and guessing at a possible scenario.
Did SS see the accident? Wouldn't they have been watching, especially at a place where people use guns? Perhaps they felt a SS agent should not be used as a witness? Maybe SS are not allowed to publically talk about Cheney. I am sure the SS people had to file reports on this privately. Perhaps if this is ever investigated their accounts would tell us who was where and when.

This thread is insane.

He turned to shoot at a bird, and in his inattention, shot a friend.

I think a sitting vice president of the United States of America, or others in high ranking world power have no business participating in hunting during their term of service. Nor should they skydive, or participate in black slopes skiing. It's too risky.

I wonder why the third hunter was not the witness. Could it be because it was a single woman?
