The places on Junior's leg look like switch marks to me. It's a pretty common punishment in the south..... or it was when I was growing up anyway. It's usually done closer down to the ankles though, stings like the devil.

If Crystal can obtain school record's for Haleigh, has she also obtained Haleigh's medical records and Ron Jr's. and what do they show?

I feel they need to stop fighting and search for that child, but no instead lets just keep taking cheap shots at each other, who really cares if we find Haleigh when we can fight with each other instead or at least thats how it is starting to appear to me. I have had about enough. why dont they grow up and look for their missing child?

I have some concerns with Crystal's allegations of abuse & the fact that she appears to have been documenting the alleged incidents with photographs. I understood that she has reported her concerns to the appropriate agency (DCY) and the allegations were unfounded. However, if I had two children that were living with their father and I feared (to the point I was taking pictures of injuries) they were being abused, there is NO WAY that I would live nearly two hours away from them. I would live as close as humanly possible to them so that I could have as much contact as possible with them. Even though the court had denied her physical / residential custody, she could have gone back and requested increased visitation time if she were living in the same town. That way, if she really suspected abuse, she would be close by and could monitor the situation. To me, as a parent, there is nothing that I would not do to protection my child(ren).

I'm also a Guardian ad Litem for abused and neglect children. I honestly have no idea whether there is any abuse on RC's part. I certainly hope and pray there is not for the sake of those children. That said, I'd find it highly suspect in circumstances like this if the non custodial parent chose now to come forward with a custody case flashing those pictures all over the media. There is certainly no need for the entire world to see those pictures. If Crystal feels that Junior's custody is something that cannot wait, that should be kept out of the media, instead of slinging mud at Ron on primetime. Ron is 100% correct in that regard -- it does take the attention away from FINDING HALEIGH -- which is both of these parents need to be focused on more than anything else right now.

One thing I forgot to mention. When Haleigh was seen in the ER, if they even suspected abuse, they would have been required to report it to the authorities. I hate to assume anything -- but I think had the hospital reported RC for abuse, we'd have heard about it by now, especially with Haleigh now missing.

It could mean, however, that Crystal didn't know how to make the right choices here, even though she wanted to. She saw the abuse, wanted to do something about it, but wasn't sure WHAT she should do. She was smart enough to know she should take pictures....but didn't know what to do with them or how to use them to her advantage....or was maybe too lazy. Crystal is not a total victim here, and she has not done everything in her power to get her kids back. But that does not mean that Ron was taking good care of them/is a good father.

ughh i said this in the parking lot... i'll say it again here...

televising those "abuse" pictures was ridiculous. i just lost all respect for whoever's brainy idea that was.
if someone snapped a pic of every injury my kids had ever gotten from *just being kids* and turned it over to DCF as abuse... omg they'd lock me up and throw away the keys.

abuse is a serious allegation... and not one that people (media) should just be tossing around when it's just a rumor. it's one of those things that "you just don't go there" say whatever you like about either side... but don't accuse anyone of abusing their children until you have proof.
these kids deserve so much better than what's offered to them imo.
ya know... at first i was leary about crystal.. but then i gave her the benefit of the doubt and started to support her. now, i just don't know what to think... i don't think she's going about this the right way. i let the GR interview where she plaster JR all over with the "man in black story" slide, and all the ron bashing.... but now it's getting to be too much. it seems like this isn't about finding haleigh anymore. its about comming out on top. why would you let it go for so many years? why wouldn't you FIGHT to get your kids back if all this horrible stuff was going on. she's just as guilty for not doing something sooner... *if* this is even true.
i would not be able to eat or sleep if i thought for one second that my kids were in any kind of danger with their biological father. and for that reason, i spent thousands and thousands of dollars and years fighting to make sure that would never happen. it's such a small price to pay for peace of mind and the well being of your children.

My point is that bruises happen to living human beings.
Quite often we don't even know it when they happens.The photos of Hayleigh with bruises are not evidence of child abuse. They are b.s. imo and CS should be ashamed of herself as well as her Magna -laude attorney! :furious:

With all due respect, if we went by this post, then Crystal is not smart enough to take care of any children.

Some people keep saying she didn't know what to do or how to do it. A mother will do whatever it takes to keep her children safe. If Crystal couldn't do it, then she shouldn't have the children IMO.

I find it odd that CS had in her opinion substantial photographs of abuse that she and a relative who works for a Pediatrician documented in November of the injuries Haleigh received and failed to mention before now or the morning she arrived in Satsuma on 2/10/09. I feel this crusade to show abuse was planned. Think about it for a moment. Everything that has been presented has been followed with I wasn't aware or I didn't know but obviously she was taking pictures to build a case to prove abuse. I can't understand really how she thinks that everyone is going to be so gullible. Her Attorney is a joke and needs to do her homework.

For years I would have "mystery" bruises on the inside of my upper arms. They were little ovals that looked like someone had grabbed me with their fingers. They would come and go. I would tell people I had no idea how I got them but after years of this even people who knew my husband was a pussycat began to really questions these "mystery" bruises. I finally figured it out. If I was doing any heavy cleaning, yard work, etc. these bruises would come because the inside of my arms would hit the underwire of my bra! I swear this is true!

I bruise so easily it is scary. I had a black and blue cheek and black eye from dental work. The dentist was horrified when I went back a week later! I had minor surgery on my face (precancer things) and my face looked like I was beaten to a pulp, including a black eye because one was up by sinus area. When I went back to the doctor to have the stitches removed the Doctor said to me "what happened to you???" I was like ... ummm you removed my moles... And the surgery was very less invasive MOHS surgery.

I have a crummy immune system. I bruise and swell at the drop of a hat. I have no problem thinking the picture of Haleigh's face was a fall in school, especially if it's true that it was a Monkey Bar fall (per NG). It takes me forever to heal and a bruise to disappear.

And the pictures of RJ, we can't actually even see if it's HIM in those picture. It could be any kid (even chads) for all the proof that's been offered so far. Until I see more "evidence" or credible witness statements from someone not involved with either family, I'm holding back any judgment that Ron abused those kids.

I'm not sure, but I don't think Texas means prior reporting to DCF, I think what texas is saying is that it's suspect when your child goes missing, and you think your ex abused the children, and you have photos, that you didn't start screaming it from the rooftops to the media and whoever will listen the minute Haleigh went missing that first week in Satsuma. Instead CS said things to NG like "there were no problems in the home" "Ronald loved Haleigh" "She was his heart" "the children loved Misty". I know some people think it's because she was scared, but I can't help but think that in those initial days Haleigh went missing the fear of her missing daughter would have trumped fear of Ron.

I have a hard time understanding how everyone can give a free pass to a mother who stated she had concerns in November and waits till Haleigh is missing and then waits 4 1/2 weeks into a investigation to reveal these concerns. It has been mentioned we all would act differently but I believe the difference would be a good majority of mothers out there would be focusing on where is Haleigh all else could wait. I have custody of my girls and my ex had visitation. He would come pick up my girls drinking or drunk and I would have to let him take them so as soon as they walked out I would call him in as a drunk driver. He stopped picking up my kids his wife started to. If there is a will there is a way.....

IMO...Typical kid bruises. My granddaughter who is 3, fell and hit her poor little head 3 times in the same place in a 1 week period. This is just a sympathy ploy.

My guys were covered in bruises when they were kids ..

That first picture of Haleigh is pretty bad though ..

If those are photos of abuse, then somebody better lock me up and whisk my children away to safety asap! Seriously, just last month my 6 yo fell out of a hammock at her friends and had a swollen bloody nose, and the fattest cut-up bloody lip I have ever seen. I couldn't even look at her sweet little face without cringing.

Thanks for that link Littleone! It certainly doesn't seem that LE is quite on the same page as CS's lawyer made it sound (near the end of the video) per whoever the reporter talked to at LE.

Crystal reported her concerns to DCF. Knowing that DCF was investigating may have given Crystal a false sense of security.

At the time when Crystal reported suspected abuse, the level to which the children might be in danger probably was not clear to her. She may have taken a "better safe than sorry" approach.

Flash forward: When Haleigh went missing, Crystal probably diidn't believe this could have anything to do with Ronald or Misty. As time went on, Misty's inconsistent stories may have brought Cyrstal's nagging thoughts about possible previous abuse to the forefront. Any witnesses who came forward after that to report incidents of abuse were probably all Crystal needed to decide that she needed to take custody of Jr.

IMO, this makes total sense.
