Alleged abuse photos

Is attending Kindergarten mandatory in FL? If not, then I don't see how she could be held back from first grade. Just curious.

We can all give our opinions on the photos as to abuse or not. The only people who would know for sure are the parent and the child. This child needs to be interviewed by an expert. No one actually knows for sure what has or has not happened to those children in the home. It is hard for me to hear people sweep away any concern about the possibility of abuse w/out an interview by a forensic specialist first. You cannot tell from the outside, just looking at pics or the injury whether it's abuse or not. The child has the answers and his story should be heard. I know what I speak of, I was abused for 13 years before anyone believed me. You really cannot tell by looking from the outside. I have broken bones and scars that were visible in school that were explained away as "normal" childhood play injuries.

stilettos, so sorry you went through such abuse. You know first hand how those in charge can made the wrong decision by not seeing or listening to the obvious clues. Hope your life is better now!

Do some of you folks spend much time around kids? My daughter fell face first onto a sidewalk at 15 months and looked like she had been in the ring with Muhammed Ali. Both of her eyes were black and blue, a huge bump on her forehead. Luckily there were a bunch of "witnesses" (it was at a birthday party) or based on the remarks here, I'd be accused of child abuse. Children fall, jump, bump into, etc. She looks like a normal, healthy, happy little girl. That being said, I find the girlfriend/wife very believable. I do NOT find the dad believable at all. There's something in his face, the way he looks, it's certainly not proof just a niggling suspicion.

I feel the same way about Crystal the bio mom. There is just something about her that makes me really uneasy.

ER Visit Wed. Nov 12, 2008 states no school 13th, 14th and 15th which is a Saturday. It took 6 days before she was taken to see a doctor, why?

Incident said to of happen on Nov 6th which fell on Thursday. The school coded the incident to be minor injury. Cut Nose. If you notice there are two more lines below that and they are blacked out for what ever reason, you can tell the date is also 11-6, First black out info was around 2:35pm, I can not see the second black out line.
So, It took 6days before Haleigh was taken to a Dr. If she fell at school on the 6th and the ER note states incident happen on Nov 6, Why did she stayed home on the 7th unexcused, 10th unexcused, and the 12th unexcused even though they took her to an ER, might of been later that night. Then she stayed home unexcused on the 17th and 21st as well.



Out of the 6 days of school in Feb she missed two, the 1st and 5th. They show her missing 11 but they are counting the days that follow the day she was missing.

Total days missed in 6 month of the school year 23 days. Unexcused were 13. Tardy were 7 and Excused were 10.

These photos are disturbing, but IMO show normal injures young children get from playing. The bio mom is very cruel to bring this up at a time like this.

I have a new take on this case with the time that has passed and these new allegations of child abuse which I believe are BS on behalf of Crystal.

One thing that has always bothered me is the fact that they found Haleighs shirt on top of the laundry and the door was propped open. The propping open, indicates the removal of a 'sleeping child' and someone that took the time to do (hence the light being turned and left on) they may not have been too worried about getting caught, i.e Crystal or friend/relative of Crystal. Now this custody battle to get her son. There may have been some jealously there about this new young girlfriend and Crystal took Haleigh or had someone take her from that home. Removed the clothes because she didn't want anything that Ron or the girlfriend may have given her daughter? I still have a strong feeling that Haleigh is alive. But whoever took this child knew her. Could still be stranger abduction, but child knew of child and the routine of the household. Right now however Crystal's friends and relatives need to be carefully questioned.

I think everyone understand that. But it makes it hard to understand is why put this on natural TV and in new papers. If you want to fight for your children fine do it but some things are meant behind close doors. I have said it before what if this child abuse is false not saying Crystal didnt have good intention in reporting it but think of the damage it will have on everyone. We arent talking just Sarasota or where Crystal lives where talking nation wide.Its just not right IMO.

I for one do not question Crystal's timing in reporting suspected abuse. Perhaps it is a perfect time now to get the attention of authorities since one child in question is missing. Maybe before this tragedy occured, no one took Crystal's concerns seriously since she was not the custodial parent. You never know when it come to the rhyme or reason of Child Protective Services. jmo

The blacked out lines are other students/children. This is a "log" for the school nurse. They are required to keep track of every student that sees the nurse. The other two lines are different children/incidents that took place on the same day.

Ok...here is what I don't get. Any of you that has kids, unless you have bubble wrapped them. know they get hurt. Falls, broke bones etc. That injury on Haleigh's face was not bad enough for her to miss all that school...what am I missing?

I wondered about that too, but thought I might have the timeline off.

If the injury was already 6 days old when they visited the doctor, and he said to take off three days after that, that's ...

I'm trying to keep up with the posts, and not doing well.

Wouldn't this nurse have to take pictures of and document any injuries on school property for insurance liability?

I wouldn't think so. If the accident was so bad that the school might get sued I would think someone would take the child to the emergency room. She was no doubt just treated at school and let to go back to her classroom. She might have made a report but maybe not. It was probably just another accident like a lot of kids have and not made a big deal of. IMO.

Her GM was called and "she sent someone"....they wrote it as a minor injury...scratch on nose.

I think you are right on. If Crystal gets RJ I bet she will head for home...pack up the house and be long gone to who knows where. Both kids will be with her as she heads out.

I know accusations of abuse are to be taken seriously but find it hard to imagine that us determining abuse or no abuse is focusing on bringing her home. I feel that it is inappropriate for the mother to allow the focus of finding Haleigh to be sidelined. Are we all so gullible to follow the obstructions she continues to provide instead of focusing on where Haleigh is and who has her.

I haven't seen the chart or site to which you're referring, LaLaw. If it said she was absent, I would tend to think it was a clerical error, since RC, MC, and TN have publicly claimed she was there. If they were lying, it would have been easily disputed by the school, throwing the three into a very bad light.

What does that Prescription slip say on the bottom of it? Do you see any blue tamper water mark? Hmmmm. and who writes a script for days off of school and two of those days are on a weekend???? Yeah right!

Could be but if your beaten bad enough to get bloody then there would be marks of some kind. Did the marks heal in an 11 day period? Crystal sees them every other weekend. If she is documenting a tiny bruise you would think she would document injuries that resulted in bleeding.

Kim Picazio just stated on HLN Ron's other girlfriend called DCF alleging maltreatment of the children. Maybe she is the witness to Rj being beaten until he was bloody. :waitasec:

Ok my point was the school felt it was serious enough to call the family - someone from the family went up to check Haleigh.

Grandma did not go to the school. The report states "Grandma sending someone"
