This case is chilling and very ominous to me, despite the joy of three missing people found.
I cannot help but think of the Fred West case in England, where police had found his daughter's body and others in the garden and a profiler told them they should start looking in the basement of the house. When they asked why, the profiler said, 'He's buried them here because he has run out of room in the house.'
This proved to be true. He and his wife liked to keep their victims close in death, as well as life.
Reports say there is disturbance in the suspect's garden, but chains and a RIP sign in the basement. LE are going to have to tear that house apart, they really are. I'm sure there are more to be brought home.
Thank heavens for Amanda's minutes of death-defying bravery, that probably saved four lives. Thank heavens for the neighbours who rushed to help. It may be a bad area, but it sure has some good people.
I hope LE can talk to the mentally disturbed daughter who is in jail too; about her 'paranoia' that family were trying to kill her too. You only have to look at Mom's list of injuries at the hands of her husband to realise that daughter may have some information that is worth listening to, after all.
I really hope everyone - except the person/people who inflicted this horror - around this case can be shown the utmost compassion. Especially Michelle. As the longest-term prisoner, she may have shown the newcomers what to do and how to behave, and helped save their lives. If it's true she suffered an abusive childhood, it may have stood her in good stead for surviving what came next.
I wish and hope with all my heart there are some kind, gentle, loving hands to support her now.
