BBM - good insight. Because she was used to doing this with her father (sad that it was necessary; he must have been a negligent father) and it would seem natural to, as you say, try and lighten the mood.

And all the more humiliating if Meredith became even MORE angry. To me, all the pieces fall into place with this idea. For the first time, Rudy's story about Meredith's anger - which Guede seemed to be awkwardly listening to - has a basis in reality. And to think, Crini has only the unflushed toilet theory, while this key of key, this light of lights has escaped him :tears:

I can really see the possibility of things escalating in this scenario. I've always thought AK's blood was from a nose bleed from flailing arms or something. If two men happened to view this I can imagine them interceding and knowing AK's prank would possibly blame MK for overreacting. If MK was harmed, they may have felt they had to silence her.

The rumor I'm talking about is the ski mask group rape "prank". You do see that is not what Amanda "confirmed"?

You said that originally it started as a "rumor" and then was escalated by your term "hate groups."

It did not start out immediately as a ski mask group-rape "prank" story.

I believe you know that, you are the one who saw it from the beginning, right?

So I was saying that the ORIGINAL basis of the ORIGINAL rumor turned out to be true because Amanda has confirmed it.

The argument of the afternoon is only an idea, a theory, a made up scenario; in that no one saw it, it wasn't reported by the friends Meredith spent the evening with, and the quoted sister's memory in Follain (which I read and it sounds very unrealistic) did not happen the day of the murder. If Meredith did indeed mention a quarrel with Amanda to her sister, it was before the afternoon in question.
I understand. And I know that much of this is inference - and that not many people lay much stock in statement analysis. But I do, and because of a particular analysis - which fits into my own theoretical beliefs - I believe there was an altercation that afternoon. No one needs to join me in my belief. :moo:

Why would Guede feel "unbearable humiliation" to the point of raping and murdering in front of witnesses he doesn't even know? He seems a calm, calculating and manipulative type. Just recall how he behaved when caught burgling in Milan or how audaciously he went to visit the lawyer's office from which he stole.

bbm

Calculating and manipulative? More like dumb and stupid to me. He goes and breaks into these places, then fixs himself a meal to eat? Doesn't sound very smart to me. One of them was a pasta meal or something? Uses the bathroom to do #2. Kind of like those burglars which MichaelSmith linked to.....just don't seem very smart to me, any of them. Taking showers and making themselves at home, stopping to eat food. I think of "calculate and manipulative" as the ones who actually plan things out and want to get in and get out as fast as possible, and who reduce their chances of getting caught to as minimal as possible.

No, the original anonymous post spoke about some assault by masked group. That's not what Amanda wrote.

I tend to believe Amanda, given that no one ever complained about that prank publicly. She had no reason to disclose it at all if she's guilty.

Excellent points.

It is eerie, in a way, that an off-hand comment of Amanda's has actually shone a light where there was always nothing but darkness......Really uncanny.

I use google chrome as a browser and when I click on the link, there's a button at the top of the page that says "translate".

But the translation was terrible, barely readable even with lots of interpolation. Often the meaning seems the opposite of what must have been said. IMO

Ok thanks. I don't have google chrome. But perhaps it's not even worth reading, then, if the translation is bad. Thanks.

At the risk of starting another internet rumor, here's one of the funnier passages:

"But I am convinced that if I would end up back in prison.'s success, the 'I lived on my skin. They accused me of having done the wheel of the interrogation at the police station in the evening, have interpreted as evidence of my laughter. I still wonder how it happened. Though I had submitted to the police station naked and dancing this did not mean that I was a murderer"

Guede has the look of a lost little boy. He suffered a brutal childhood. He is very vulnerable- seeming.

Sometimes it is the weak, and the love-starved, who kill (as Rilke said, "Killing is the form of our wandering mourning.")

Just look at that face: The face of sorrow, the face of a lost child. He even said that all women were to him potential mothers to him.

Even the dumbest stager would know to take the laptops that were in full view.
IMO.

No, I actually think it would be dumb to take them. Where would they have put them? Thrown them out with the phones? That would actually confirm more than it was a staged burglary, because the valuable things (laptops), the burglar threw out! Hidden them at RS house? Thrown them out somewhere where they is risk of them being found?

Read up about his behavior when they caught him in Milan with stolen goods. I used calculating in the sense of estimating the situation an his chances at the moment, not in sense of planning ahead ( this is not what he's doing). His adoptive family kicked him out for lying.

He presented himself as cunning liar and manipulator throughout this whole case, but that's another story. Always fine tuning his "date" fairytale. I remember J. Kercher begging him to come clean and finally tell the truth. Didn't happen.

It was not the afternoon of the murder. IMO it didn't happen at all. Amazon reviews of Follain's book list endless lies and manipulations.

I don't go too much by Amazon reviews, seeing as how most of the reviews of Amanda's book are glowing and positive, and don't point out her lies and manipulations in her book. Because the readers are mostly Amanda-supporters, and on top of that they do not know all of the facts of the case.

Tell Crini to read on here - he would get a lot of answers.

That's what I'm talking about. Manipulative, sociopath devoid of conscience, always calculating his options.
Why would he lost his head and kill and rape in front of witnesses?

Horrible :)

But it could also have been just that she felt like playing a prank or teasing Meredith at the moment. Kind of, be the "life of the party." Do fun things. Perhaps it started out this way, but as you said, Meredith did not respond like she thought or expected she would, instead she responding in a way which insulted Amanda.

Light? I see fog of nonsense :)

Yes - and as Myvice points out, the argument of the afternoon may have made Amanda think that a prank was in order: To me, pranks are passive-aggressive. They seek to lighten the mood, but also poke at the person a bit. And sometimes the recipient reacts with rage - which is quite humiliating to the pranker, I would imagine.

bbm

Yes. Amanda strikes me as very passive-aggressive. That is the perfect word, thanks. JMO.

Throw them out with the shoes, clothes, weapons, cleaning items that were never found. :) Not that hard.

Of course the other thing is that even the dumbest stager would know to actually rummage the place. You know, open some drawers and throw things out.
